Re: Acutal Release Date of Note 4?

I am impressed that someone was able to get a confirmation email that a phone was coming into the store a few days in advance as I keep getting misinformation from my local store, customer service and corporate that they have no idea until the day a shipment arrives if they have phones or not.
I was first told by the store that it was Sprint's fault that I hadn't gotten a phone yet because they were holding all of the phones for their internal sales before forwarding any to Best Buy. That didn't make sense but I contacted Sprint Corporate and after many channels found out that they do not distribute the phones to Best Buy but that Samsung does directly. Verified with the manager of the store (finally) and Samsung and Samsung does indeed provide the phones directly to Best Buy. However, the store manager said that Samsung does not inform anyone at Best Buy when or how many phones they are shipping and they just drop phones into the mail randomly for them to arrive at a store. That also made no sense so I contacted Samsung (again) and they agreed that they do not inform the local stores but that they do inform a central area at Best Buy that is in charge of their logisitics systems in relation to the phones how many are going out and when and that they have the information as far out as two months worth of shipments though there may occassionally be issues in which case that same department would be informed of delays and such but that they would definately know when orders were scheduled to arrive for at least the next two weeks -- with UPS tracking numbers, no less -- but it is up to Best Buy to distribute that information. Basically Samsung says that someone at Best Buy knows something and they just choose not to inform the stores. So then I call customer service, Best Buy Corporate, the "Bridge" program (it is the customer service line for the store to call to get a "bridge" to corporate as they cannot apparently talk directly to their own corporate office), and finally track down a guy in the Minnesotta office (I was going to name him but I don't want him to get fired) that says that they do inded get the information and that only 1 division has that information and that many requests have gone out to distribute that information but that at this time Best Buy corporate policy is that it would be cost prohibitive or at a cost disincentive to provide that information to the stores but that he will once again submit a report that a customer has requested that information be made available.
The thing is, I am an IT Director for a small government agency and Best Buy is the only place in town that I could purchase the MS Surface Pro 2 and have it set up locally so that my staff doesn't have to be bogged down during the inital phase. I will be ordering 15 of them in the next two months but now I will not be using them or their service because the store, customer service and even corporate were either not up front with me or are completely clueless and I would be afraid of their service level. How can I trust that they can do something like install virus protection properly if they can't even figure out how to find out the status of a pre-order and keep making obvious mistakes? It also makes me wonder if my credit card information is safe with them because the security required to keep their system from being compromised is a lot more difficult than having someone keep track of a UPS shipping number and they apparently can't do that. Their right hand has no idea what their left hand is doing.

Hello ladyjanel-
When a big release such as the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 comes out, it generates a lot of excitement and potentially some anger if pre-orders cannot be fulfilled right at launch.  Based on the number of threads and pages to those threads on our Cell Phones & iPhones board, our customers have been vocal with their dissatisfaction around the launch of this phone.
Pre-ordering a product with Best Buy does not guarantee a product will be available on release day.  Product shortages and shipping issues are just a couple of things that can affect that availability.  We are always working to fulfill those pre-orders as quickly as possible as we receive inventory from the manufacturer, however, having orders placed with a manufacturer and having those orders be filled are two different things entirely.  The long and short of it is that our distribution procedure is a confidential process and not something that we can share with our customers, which is why we say that you should receive an email when your pre-order arrives.
This does not mean that our stores associates or managers should be laying the blame on the manufacturer or another carrier.  We work in partnership with those companies and we wouldn’t want to jeopardize those relationships by disparaging any company whose products we sell.  I am truly sorry that this was the information given to you by a store manager.  Based on the number of posts we’ve fielded (through Allan-BBY), I can only guess at how many more the stores field on a daily basis and they are just as frustrated as you are with not having your phone.  We obviously want you to have the product you pre-ordered, you are the reason we are here and we appreciate that you chose us for your pre-order.
It’s disappointing that this pre-order issue has you questioning your future business with us.  I can assure you that we should be perfectly capable of handling the purchase of the Surface Pro 2’s for you, though I would recommend for an order of that size that you work through our Best Buy for Business division.  They are set up specifically to handle business orders with these quantities.  We also take the safety of your customer information very seriously and you can find more information on our Privacy Policy here.
Thanks for connecting with us and I hope that we are able to get your phone to you soon!

  • External purchase order release date is not calculated

In our live system, when creating external purchase orders from tasks within work orders, system does not calculate the release date of purchase order as explained in the documentation (planned delivery date - planned delivery time). Strangely, when the calculated release date does not lie within the current year release date is assigned to the creation date. When calculated release date lies within the same year, correct release date is assigned to the PO.
Althogh our development and productive systems have exactly the same patch level, we do not experience this behaviour on our development system. This makes me think that the problem is due to system-dependent setting or some master data such as factory calendar.
How could we correct the problem? Thanks in advance.
    Ozgen.

We don't have a release strategy for PReq.
On the Preq Item -> quantites/ dates tab there are 3 dates: delivery date, request date and release date. In MRP process, the release date is calculated by the sytem based on planned delivery time and GR processing time. The PReq should be changeable by MRP up to the release date. On the release date the system should transfer PReq to SRM and mark the PReqs
as u2018firmedu2019 u2013 not changeable. This is a SAP standard process. Worked well with EPRTRANS.
BADI ME_REQ_SOURCING_CUST imethod CHECK_EXTERNAL_SOURCE is already implemented. The BADI controls what requirements to send to SRM.
We tried putting a check for Release date like: if release date is = < than system date , send PReq to SRM:
       if is_req_item-FRGDT le sy-datum.
       cv_ext_sourcing = cl_mmpur_constants=>yes.
It does stop new PReqs with release date in future from coming to SRM. However, the BADI is not retriggered for the same PReq when the release date reached.
Can you please guide me through the implementation steps? If it possible to retrigger the PI message via a scheduled process?
    Thank you

  • Sort by release date is not possible in itunes 9

    hello,
in itunes 9 there is no release-date-column in the results-table available after using the itunes search, is there a solution at the planning stage?
it was very useful and now only available when using the columns-browser, but it´s not helpful, if you´re searching a song without knowing the artist...
    thanks for answering me.

Sorry, but, as this is a user to user forum, no one here would know what Apple is planning.
Submit your feedback directly to Apple:

But keep in mind they won't answer you.

  • Release Date in Get Info always 6/5/1905 and not editable?

In Get Info, in the new iTunes, the Release Date is not editable.  However, when downloading books and importing into iTunes, the Release date is always 6/5/1905.  Now I don't think either music or books or anything likely to be downloaded was released in 1905, so, why is the field not editable?
    Thank you,
    Laura

Actually I never noticed a field called "Release Date" in Get Info of previous versions, only Year.  And there is no Release Date field shown in any of my music Get Info.  If I try to access Get Info for albums, it asks me if I want to "edit information for multiple items."  If I click on Edit Items, there is still no Release Date field - just Year.
However, not one of the Release Dates are correct in any of the books, i.e. those imported into iTunes both before and after the latest "upgrade."   AND the Release Date column is blank for them all.  So what is it for, anyway?
It is a pity that, if it isn't editable, it should be able to be removed or added depending on the need.
Just found out another weirdness.  In the Audiobook List Genre is no longer there.  It is in the Playlists, thank heaven, but not in the master list where it really should be.  It IS in Music, but not in books.  How weird.  I hope that is an oversight and will be fixed.
    Thank you for your response.

  • PO - release dates not available in ME5A

    Dear All,
For knowing PR date, release status, PO made, release status, I have the excel sheet generated from SAP.
In this, the PO release date is not being generated.
Can you please check and let me know what to choose so that I get that info together with PO created date.
If not available, can you please check possibility of creating the line item for our easy traking purposes.
    Please let know ASAP.
    Thanks
    Rajesh

    Hi
ME5A report is only for PR related data  it will only show PO number which is created from PR and not the release date of PO.
Use ME2N to get PO release related data with dynamic seletion

  • Itunes is not sorting my podcast playlist by 'Release Date'?

I have a Macbook running Mac OS 10.5.8.  In iTunes 10.5.2 [11], I set up a playlist of my  podcasts sorted by 'Release Date' & have everything automatically sync to my 4th Generation iPod Touch which is running ios 5.0.1 [9A405].
On my Macbook in iTunes with my iPod Touch attached by the iPod Touch cable, I see that my iPod touch is sorted by 'Release Date'.  But, when I look on my iPod Touch is not sorted by 'Release Date', but sorted by random?
On my macbook itunes does sort by 'Release Date', but not on my iPod Touch
When I was running ios 4, I didnt have this problem, could it be a bug in ios 5.0.1?
    Harold

    Hi Harold,
I have a similar problem with my ipod nano, though the podcasts do not play in a random order when they get to the ipod; whererever I start to play the podcast, once that is finished, it automatically plays the previous episode instead of the next episode. Very annoying.

  • Table for PR Release date

    Hi Friends,
I want to capture the PR release date. But I could not find the table. Can anybody please provide me the table where PR relase date is captured?
In ME53N, in item detail, in "Quantities/Dates", the release date is not the actual relaease date on which the PR got released. I can see the actual release date in Environment-->Item change. But I could not find the table wheere it stores the actual release date.
    Please suggest.
    Thanks & Regards
    Satya

    Hi,
As I have explained in my mail, that field is not the actual PR release date. even afterrelease also that field is changeable. System bydefault takes the PR creation date as release date. But If I release after 10 days of PR creation, then EBAN-->FRGDT is not getting updated.
    Please suggest.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Sorting Music By Release Date

    Hi guys.
I'm new to this Forum so apologies if this has already been asked.
I want to sort my music on my iTunes in Release Date order not just the year so its shows an artist complete discography from first release to current release. Is there a way of being able to do this ?

    Bazoingdoing wrote:
My music sorted in ascending order on iTunes, it has been since I've had iTunes. Prior to iOS 7.0.x, albums were sorted by name under the artist. In iOS 7.0.x, that changed, and albums were sorted by release date in ascending order (i.e. newest at the bottom). Now, in iOS 7.1.x, albums are sorted by release date in descending order (i.e. newest at the top).
It was changed on your system, not mine.
Mine were never sorted by release date. It has always been sorted Album by Artist.
    Try this.
    In iTunes, select the iPhone.
Then go to iTunes menu View > View options and select a sort, then sync the iPhone.

  • Release date of PO

    Hi,
In which table I can find the date on which the PO was released.
I could not find the release date of PO in EKKO.
I need to develop a report in which PO are to be included as per the release date not the document date(PO creation date).
    Pl help.
    Regards

    Hi,
Release Date is not available directly in any Table.
    But, you can get this using following tables;
    - CDHDR - Change document header
    - CDPOS - Change document items
Go to table CDHDR, here pass PO No in field "CDHDR-OBJECTID" and Transaction as ME29N in field "CDHDR-TCODE" and get the Document Number from field "CDHDR-CHANGENR" and date of changes happened "CDHDR-UDATE" (Take this as Release Date)
Then go to table CDPOS and pass the Field value "CHANGENR" and get the change details. And here get the New Value (CDPOS-VALUE_NEW) for Release

  • PR release date report

    Hi,
I want to get the report in which i can get exact release date of PR. In ME5A  / ME5j release date is not exact date at which the PR was released.
    Regards
    Kalpesh

CDHDR is a table for change documents - Here you shoujld be abkle to find the change document number that is referencing your PR
CDPOS - is the same for line item data.
You will need to get the Change document number of CDHDR to use in CDPOS
Even though you are probably releasing the PR in its entirity, there really isn't much of a header record - each line item is released together. You may find the data you are looking for in CDPOS

  • Where is sort by release date in itunes store?

Taking this feature away makes it VERY difficult to find what you're looking for in the store now.  For example, if you search for GLEE, and filter media by type 'music' there are hundreds of songs.  I can't figure out how they are sorted (if at all.)  If want the songs in tonight's episode I am out of luck!
Am I missing something, did it just move and I can't find it?  This seems rediculously stupid to remove this feature.  I keep looking for it because I can't imagine why Apple would want to take it away.
    Any body got any ideas?

Sorry, I was looking under Podcasts, not at a smart playlist.
The release date is not part of the ID3 tags. It is read from the RSS server when the podcast is downloaded.
I suggest sending feedback to Apple here ->http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html
I will do also as I think this is a very good idea.

  • Release Date?

Anyone know when the release date for 11g? We are hoping to make it the new standard, but are leary until it is full release.

Anyway, I think that the release date is not the all important. If this means more quality, I think is better a JDeveloper in next year.

  • Release date colum

Is the release date a function of Itunes or is it in the ID3 tag somewhere?
I have several Podcasts (.mp3format) that I would like to import into Itunes, and they are
organized by "release date". How do I add this to my file ID3 tags

  • PR release date capturing for all levels

    Hi,
I have activated PR release strategy at Header level.  There are about 4 levels of release are there.  In custom PR print program, I want to capture the details of all levels corresponding release dates.  Can you help me how I can go about it.
    Munna.

    Hi
PR release date is not relevant to Release strategy.
    Purchase Requisition Release Date
Specifies the date on which the purchase order should be initiated on the basis of the purchase requisition.
The release date is based on:
The purchasing department processing time defined for the plant
The planned delivery time from the material master record or purchasing info record
    The delivery date
The goods receipt processing time from the material master record
    Note
The planned delivery time from the purchasing info record and the GR processing time are only taken into account if the purchase requisition was generated via materials planning.
    Example
Processing time   Planned del.   GR processing
           Purchasing         time           time
    Release       PO                    Delivery    Date
    date         date                   date    required
    Date required:                     10.01.96
GR processing time:                 2 days (working days)
Planned delivery time:             10 days (calendar days)
Purchasing dept processing time:    2 days (working days)
For the material to be available on the date it is needed, the purchase requisition must be released on 09.11.96 (requirement date less GR processing time, planned delivery time, and purchasing department processing time).
    Hope it helps
    Thanks/karthik

I use smart playlists to select and control what podcasts goto my ipod as the standard podcasting sync controls are pretty lame. Where is the order by release date colum? (show colum option) so why is this not included as an option?
Oh and as a hint I'm sure lots have seen if you hold down the control key while selecting a podcast it will pull back deleted podcasts...
