The easiest way to run a program on the ml505 system is to boot solaris first. Then you can ftp from the board to your system where the program is. Copy the program over to the board, then you should be able to run it.
The procedure outlined in the DV guide requires root permissions on a Solaris system somewhere, and who has that ? ? ? :-)

In addition to what John said: when you add a user to a group in your repository, you don't need to add the user again in the "Manage Presentation Catalog Groups and Users" section. So when you have the same groups in your repository as in your presentation catalog, OBIEE will add the user to the presentation catalog group with the first log in. This synchronization makes that there is no additional work involved for adding users to presentation catalog groups. (Correct my if I'm wrong.)

Can not add new program unit in form

We have a form developed using developer 6i in which we can not add new program units. If new program unit is added and form is saved and closed then after opening the form again, newly added program unit can not be seen in object navigator as well as it can not be found using search. Such form fails to compile as the calls for new program unit exists but the program unit is lost. The problem persists even if another copy of form is made using Save As option.
What could be the reason of this problem?

Hmmm... I have never had the problem. Two forms I have been working on lately are 1808 KB and 1424 KB. This is their compiled-and-saved size. Their "cleaned up" size is 792 KB and 604 KB.

Add a program to Open With

How would I go about adding a program to Bridge's Open With command. I find that my workflow goes better with Photoshop 7 on the majority of my projects. This has to do with what I do so please don't ask why I don't use PS CS4. <grin> If I click on a thumbnail using the right mouse button one of the submenus is Open With and all of the choices are CS4 programs. I want to add my Photoshop 7 to it. I should be able to as Corel PhotoPaint is one of the choices as well. Thanks in Advance.

I have just overcome exactly the problem you are describing. I wanted to add Capture NX2 to the list of programs displayed by Adobe Bridge CS2 when I clicked the "Open with" option. By the way, I'm using Windows XP.
As you have discovered, there seems no way to do it.
It seemed to nme that the list of programs displayed was the list of JPG capable programs at the time Adobe CS2 was installed - and the program I want added to the list wasn't installed at that time.
So I decided to re-install Adobe CS2. But when I went to uninstall before re-instaling, I was presented with the option of "repair" or remove. "Repair" sounded like a good option, so I tried it. It worked! It did something like a re-install, and it certainly found and added the program I wanted on the "Open with" list.

I need to do the same. I need to bring Bill of Lading number (which is Shipment number in our case). I need to bring that to the assignment field in the gl account. I know this can be done through sort key, but the field TKNUM is not avilable for sort key. I was wondering if you have found any solution of this.

Runtime.exec() - how to open new window for new program?

Hi,
I have searched through the forums but haven't found an answer to this one yet. I am using runtime.exec() to start up a new java program. At first I thought it wasn't running properly but, after checking task manager, I have discovered that the new program I open runs, it is just completely invisible to me. I am wondering how I can get the new program to run in a command window or something where I can monitor it.

Thank you all. After trying to figure out why the start command wouldn't work in the runtime.exec() call(not an executable - I am a dolt), I tried putting it in a batch file and it worked perfectly. Thanks for your help,

Can you add Programs to Open With Menu

Is there a way to add programs to the Open With Menu. For example, when you right click on a file you can choose to open it with the default application by selecting Open, or choose other programs to open it with by selecting Open With. Only a few of the programs that can open the files are listed. Is there a way to add programs that I use to list in that list. Right now, everytime I want to open something in a program that is not listed I have to go to Other... and find it in the Application folder. Which is not too convenient. Many programs that I use to open files are not listed for many types of file types, I open them frequently using the Open... window, and I was hoping that Mac would learn to add them, but it did not.
For example, I have VMWare with Windows 7 and Microsoft Office 2010 in it, my default application for WORD documents is Word for Mac 2011, but occasionally I need to open it in Word 2010 in Windows (Certain features that are missing in Mac Word), and I have to browse to fin the Word 2010 Application from the Application Folder. Another example is a program (from the App Store) called ResizeIt (which resizes photos), I have to browse for it everytime even though it is an application just for images.
So, is there a way to edit the Open With Menu for specific file types to include these programs that I use, or do I have to keep browsing to the Application folder and finding it there?

How do I stop new tabs from opening with Bing (i've check the add-ons and extenstions)

My homepage works fine, but when I open a new tab, that page opens to a Bing search page. I've gone to tools>add-ons> and searched both add-ons and extensions... there nothing listed there that refers to Bing.
Once the tab opens, i can hit my home button which takes me to my home page, but that step is annoying.

Have u installed any new programs lately... when I do I breeze through installation but they always try to get you to install bing or ask.com as your homepage.. Anyway u can email me if u have not figured it out yet and maybe I could help. Jc

My Numbers program changed yesterday while I was working on a document and now I can't open it. I get a message telling me I need a newer version to open the document. All the others seem to open OK. I HAVE NOT PURCHASED THE NEW VERSION. What happened

OK, this is the first time I have used this so I may not have started correctly, so here goes another try. I opened a Numbers Document and noticed the presentation was different from when I worked it before. Since there have been a number of auto updates since I had worked in Numbers, I assumed I had an updated program. I found it hard to figure out so I closed the document and went on to other things. When I went back to it I found a message saying I needed a newer version of the program to open it. Fortunately, the document was backed up and when I opened the backup it came in my familiar form. I have not purchased the new version of Numbers but suspect that is what was using for that brief period yesterday. Anyone know haw that happened?

It is pretty amazing you got a new version without even knowing it.
In System Preferences > App Store you can turn off the automatic updates by unchecking "Install app updates" as I've done here:

this just started w/ me yesterday. I was running 10.5.3, and nothing changed - the message just appeard out of nowhere. I update to the latest iTunes 10.6 but the message is the same.
Sounds like probably some sort of Library file corruption.
The two options available in the message box are "Download" and "Quit". Download is useless because I'm already running the latest. Quit is pretty useless.
I was going to just create a new Library and re-import all my music. Of course, all my iPhone sync settings are going go have to be recreated.

How do I change the default program to open Pages docs to the old (4.3) version instead of the new one (5.0)? When I do what Apple said and go to a Pages file in finder and select "get info" then select "Pages 4.3" and "change all" it just defaults to the new one even though I'd selected the old one. Do I need to completely uninstall the new version of Pages or is there another work around because the new version of Pages comes dreadfully short of the features I need that are included in the old one?

Actually there is a workaround.
If you open the file in Pages 5, it can then be exported on Pages 0.9 format to another folder. I had to do this as the document was only in iCloud and couldn't be recoverd by Time Machine.

you need to read program carefully first possible than do debug.than find the exact location where system ALV generates here you need to add your field.
May be i it helps you.
search with term in mention prg ASSIGN gt_alv TO <gt_alv>. you will get idea where you need to add your own field
