I am sure you didnt noticed the removal of the original post that Sparks created. I am also sure you are oblivious of the possible reason that occured. I am also confident that you have not even read the terms of usage for these discussion boards. I might suggest you read it But I highly doubt you will. So here is a snippet of sometihng that you are breaking with the terms of usage!

Need answers to a couple of questions...is your phone officially unlocked? If so, did you purchase a sim from a supported local carrier to use in your phone? If not officially unlocked, did you get International Provisioning activated for your account before you left for your trip(pick a plan & carrier)?

I update my photoshop touch to 1.6 and the native font is not scaling correctly, whenever i enter for example "hello" i only get "he" and in some cases just pieces of words after resizing it, help!!!

Thanks Laparra!! Thanks to your original comment again-- at least now I know if I need a "work-around" I now know at-least-that-the original-fonts in PS TOUCH seem to work. No wonder the default-font worked.. but not the NEW COPPERPLATE FONT.. YaY, mystery solved.. (almost)! [i wished they'd change that default-font..and get a new default font...Lol.. It's pretty homely looking..Hee.) I normally have been using that original TRAJAN PRO FONT.. but the letter "J" almost looks like a straight line vs a rounded J.. which at least the new COPPERPLATE FONT (which is a more normal usable font--That's not boring like aerial is,etc... ]. So yeah that will be great when all those new fonts gets fixed! // It would be great too (on my PS TOUCH wishlist, if someday they could fix the TEXT BOX too.. to be able to better & easily add A LOT [more] TEXT on a graphic .. as I always have to go to the "OVER APP" [That's the name of the app in the APPLE store] on my iPad to do that... Text messages are sent via the cellular network, not wi-fi. Only iMessages are sent via wi-fi. Unless you have roaming turned on for the phone, or you have an unlocked phone that you installed a local SIM, you would continue to see No Service. That reflects your cellular carrier service. Connecting to wi-fi has no bearing on your cellular service, which is what displays on the status bar of the phone near the signal bars (circles/dots).

The outgoing mail server is rejecting mail from your network address. Typically that happens when your mail service provider is also your ISP, and you connect to it from another network. The SMTP server will allow connections without a password from anywhere, but it will only relay mail from within the ISP's network. It could also be that your account on the server has expired or been suspended.
If you need to send mail from outside your ISP's network, use an independent mail service provider. I don't have a specific recommendation.

Agent18 case + armband?

Hello all,
I have an iPod Nano with the agent18 hard plastic case and I would like to use an armband when I go running. Does anyone know of an armband that will accommodate the Nano with the case still attached?

Just a side note about the skipping, and do not take
this as the gospel, there was an article posted not
long ago about the 30 and 60 gig having a cach and
buffer so that the hard drive is not operating all
the time and that it should not skip for a certain
amount of time. I can not quote the exact figures
but I do believe that it was more then an album. If
you were to do a search on this I am sure that you
could come up with good info on this. My wife runs
with hers and does a stepping class and has never
complained about her nano or 30 gig skipping. I
would really check out the boards or question the
boards about the skipping of your ipod.
Unless you shake your ipod like a rattler it probably won't skip on you as you run with it. when playing music the hard-drive only spins when accessing music you havent played recently, and after that will probably not spin again for quite some time. the only time the ipod's hard-drive spins frequently is when playing vids, which usually takes about 10-15 minute intervals from what ive observed. If the hard-drive spun non-stop from start to finish of any song, the battery probably wouldnt last through the album.

Cheap cases just came

I ordered some cheap cases on ebay just so I would have protection on when I get it out of the box...And I must say I am going to love the size of this thing compared to my droidx ..

I looked up the specs before purchasing cases and the info I recieved on the Verizon website matched what I read about the AT&T iPhone on the Apple website...so I went ahead and ordered 2 different cases offline and unfortunately will probably have to donate them to my AT&T friends. I hope nobody else makes this mistake! Good catch.

I have something similar to what you referenced for home use. I'm hoping to find instead a small attachment for the upper-midback of the mini that would allow me to look at it at any comfortable reading angle while I'm using it at work. I keep it in my labcoat pocket with a Logitech thin keyboard, which can only hold the mini up at one angle - and that angle is too upright. I've tried other keyboards including the Zagg and the ClamCase; each has other unacceptable deficiencies. The Zagg only bends back a little further, and its clamp makes it impossible to touch the bottom of the mini's screen. The ClamCase is too big and heavy, and maldistributres its weight inasmuch as it allows the mini to tip over backwards when it's bent back to a comfortable reading angle (they instead should have weighted it more toward the front, wrist-rest area to prevent tipping over backwards).
Please let me know if you find such a kickstand. Thanks!

It really is crazy that under Windows we had all these hoops to jump through before we could actually use the computer for the task. It feels utterly weird for things to "just work" or "oh, I thought it would be more difficult than that" ... and that's after 3 years with Macs.
I still get surprised ... threw my old USB inkjet printer onto an Airport Express. I went to System Prefs to configure, but Bonjour had already found it for me. Awesome! (Meanwhile it took me a month of Sundays to get a different printer to work on my IP network under WinXP.)

My MacBook Air from Apple Thailand online store just arrived after a long wait. Turn out it comes with Chinese settings and already have admin set up with unknown password. And I can't find a way to contact customer support via email. Pls help.

Just arrived in London, iPhone says "No Service"

I just flew into London and my iPhone says "no service". I am at Heathrow. I am on a corporate account and I was told we have an international plan. Do I need a separate sim card for Europe? Help.
P.S. I have not updated with 2.1 yet. I usually sync with my desktop at home. Can I update with my laptop? and should I?

GSM does not guarantee roaming. GSM is simply a set of features.
As for the whopping $1.29, it would seem if you can afford the airfare that should not be a problem.

I have been using the iLuv flex-gel case, which is almost perfect, but I would like to see what other options are out there. The iLuv case doesn't have a "sticky" enough rubber feel for my liking, and the edges are too sharp.

Just arrived!

I just received my "new to me" refurbished iMac G5 20" 2.1ghz. This is my first iMac, it seems to be a great machine. It seems to be a decently quick manchine, of course I have a PM G5 2.5DP for reference. I also have a 1.5ghz 17" PB and the iMac should be a good machine to cut, title, etc. in FCP while my PM is busy rendering another project. Then I can slide my FW drive over to the PM for rendering.
I do have a couple of questions:
1. It seems I have a single dead pixel. I am unfamiliar with Apple's policy on this, but I thought I remembered reading it was a higher count for a return.
2. What is the memory requirements? I saw that it said DDR2 400 (PC2 4200) up to a 2 gig module. At first I thought there were two slots but it looks like there is only a single. Anyway, I was looking on Newegg under the DDR2 400 and the 2 gig module they carry there was a review stating that it doesn't work in the iMac. But there was another, still DDR2 400 in the same category that stated it did and there is a couple hundred dollars difference in price. So I am just wanting a little help.

Just to be clear: A "dead pixel" is defined as a black dot, a "stuck pixel" is defined as having an unchangeable color. I've read where "stuck pixels" can be massaged back to life. Here is one such report.
Where does the pixel appear on your screen?
Apple's policy regarding dead pixels (one won't cut it) pretty much falls in line with other manufacturers.
Regarding RAM, I maxed the RAM on my iMac...glad I did. Very snappy machine. Of course, as the previous poster suggested, purchase from a reputable dealer. I purchased mine from MacRam Direct. Lifetime warranty, no questions asked. Very good supplier.

Well actually about 15 minutes ago.
Did the Verizon activation and now letting iTunes restore from my last iPhone backup.
So whoever was BSing about FEDEX delaying everything till after normal deliveries.......
(Before you ask, I ordered 16GB Black 9/14 at approximately 9:25AM EST over the telephone. My confirmation said "delivery 9/12". Verizon's site and customer reps - up until Wednesday - said SHIP 9/21 with arrival around 9/26. Visa was charged Wed 8PM. Tracking email came Thurs 10AM.)
