Re: Alternate rawmaterial usage option

Hi All
The scenario is in a Sales order based process industry.
A particular finished product F1 is sold to two customers C1 and C2. This F1 requires the use a particular raw material R1 or alternate material R2.
In case of F1 sold to C1, the client has the option to use an alternative raw material R2.
However in case of F1 sold to C2 customer, should use R1received from a particular vendor only. Is there some way to map this process in SAP?, if yes, pls explain how?.
Thanks & Regards
Karthik

Hi Karthik,
As your scenario is  a Sales order based means make to order and you customer have different choice for the raw materail then Variant configuration is best for it.
Variant configuration is use for manufacturing complex product.
The customer determine the feature of the product.
Following are the steps requried for Variant configuration
1) Define Material type as KMAT or select configurable in basic data view of material master. Select classification view for material.
2) Create a super BOM and a super Routing for these material, containing all the components and operations for producing all variants of the product.
3) Create Characteristics with different value.
4) Create Class with class type 300. Assign all characteristics to class.
5) Create Configuration profile for configurable object using CU41 transaction.
6)Create Object Dependencies to allow all the combinations of features by using CU01 transaction.
7) Assign all Object Dependencies to BOM and routings (In BOM goto ExtraObject DependenciesAssigment.
8) Use the configuration simulation by using CU50 transaction to check the configuration model.
In the Configuration simulation you can test whether you have created the object correctly and whether your Object Dependencies work.So here you can choose which raw materail you want to select for your customer and your prise can also set accordingly.
When you will create sales order for your customer you have to chose the raw materail i'e R1 Or R2 so product can assemble with that raw material only.
Hope it will solve ur problem and come back.

    Hi Karthik,
It is possible by using variant configuration.
    Pls explore yourself in that.

  • Alternate full-screen options?

I'd like to get Aperture 2 to run full-screen (i.e. covering the dock) in the same way that Adobe Lightroom does. Without really changing anything except that I want to use it within Spaces and I want the dock to be covered up so I can get full use out of my 30" monitor. Is this possible?
I know there is a full-screen mode, but it's not quite the way I'd like it to be. I want it exactly the same as it is normally, but taking up the whole screen.

    ttl_kurtis wrote:
It does, but then you have the menus differently than they are in normal view mode. I don't want anything different except for the program to be fullscreen - i don't get why they don't have an option for that.
And I don't want to do a workaround like moving my dock or hiding it etc.
Saying "don't want to do a workaround" implies a flaw that needs fixing or working around. Frankly I think the way the F key works is ideal, very similar to F key usage in Photoshop. If you don't like that "feature" I guess you look for a "workaround."
Most folks in AP stay there focused on workflow, not bouncing to other apps constantly that would require constant vision of the Dock, and during full screen viewing most folks want the image on the full screen, uncompromised by the Dock.
If one does need the Dock a simple tap on the F key brings you back to seeing it. Aperture is generally very customizable. Note that thumbs can be relocated and there are possible key commands for almost everything, including key command to move direct to an image editor like Photoshop without accessing the dock.
Personally I put the Dock on the side because when viewing images with modern widescreen displays there is invariably excess room on the sides rather than on the bottom, helping to minimize inadvertent access of the Dock. It is simply a matter of personal preference, as is whether or not one wants the Dock to always take visible screen space or hide itself. Me, I let it hide but I know lots of other folks who do not hide the Dock.

  • Scheduling Agreement Alternate BOM usage

    Hi all,
For a FG material , i have 2 BOMs available for that.
I make a scheduling agreement for  Subcontracting process while maintaining schedules ME38 , automatically system is picking the first BOM present for that material , but i want to use the alternate BOM to be picked for that particular vendor or for that Scheduling agreement. So should I maintain any thing else for that agreement .
    With Rgds,
    Vamsi

    Hi,
Maintain two production versions, one for each BOM you have, Assign the default production version to the subcontracting info record
When you create subcon PO, the default production version is used. If you want to change it, go in the item level "Material Data" Tab,
click "Re-explode" and choose the production version you want

  • How to use alternate payee at the time of P.O

    Hi SAP Experts,
Could you please tell me how to use alternate payee for vendors. At my clients place User wants to make alternate payee for some vendors. I have made Alternate payee as optional entry in vendor master data but i would like to know if i have to make any settings because the user wants to see the alternate payee for vendor when they create a purchase order. Anyone please let me know the detailed steps in defining the alternate payee.
    Kind regards
    Leoni

alternative payee option are available in two ways which are defined in master level at General data (for corporate decisions) or at company code data level (for individual company decisions)
1.You have option to fix one as default always - only one
    2. Alternatively - you have option to select at Doc level - you will be able to define selective few within which u can select at document level.
As payment is linked to Finance level and nothing to do with PO, this will not be available at PO.
    Hope it is clear.

  • IPhoto/iDVD Slideshow Software Options?

I have been unhappy with the resultant quality of slideshows that I have created in iPhoto and exported ('shared') with iDVD. The iPhoto quality is outstanding but I find significant quality degradation in iDVD in terms of clarity and smoothness of Ken Burns effect motion. This poor quality carries-over to the iDVD burned DVD-R.
Does anyone have recommendations for alternate slideshow software options that produce clear, crisp and smooth motion slideshow DVDs?
    Message was edited by: MikeyM

Have you asked over in the iDVD forum also? Any DVD authoring program will not be as sharp as what you see in iPhoto or on your computer because all media is reduced to 720 x 540 pixels. The same goes for videos. Smaller videos are scaled up and that's where you can lose image quality.
The two links below are to Apple KB documents on preparing stills and videos for iDVD.
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=iDVD/7.0/en/6732.html
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=iDVD/7.0/en/6675.html
Photo to Movie has received good reports in this forum. When using the KB effect you need to use the largest image available. Not so much with just still photos. As far as videos with motion you did use the Professional Quality setting, right?
In finishing up the iDVD project are you saving it as a disk image first? Then you can check the encoding by playing it with DVD Player before burning. Burn to disc with Disk Utility at the slowest speed available to assure the best burn quality. Always use top quality media: Verbatium, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.

  • MC46 - daily usage

    Dear,
SAP help explains the difference between uncheck and check of 'daily usage' option in t-code MC46.
    It says like below.
I really want to know the meaning of 'usage statistics'.
The result of uncheck and check of 'daily usage' option had big diffreence.
(In case of uncheck of this option, days since last consumption was 2.
However check of this option result in 575 days since last consumption.)
    Any answer would be appreciated.
    Daily usage
If you select this checkbox, the usage quantities and values are calculated directly from material document. This enables you to display usage in terms of daily values and quantities, because the posting date is updated in the material document.
If you do not select this checkbox, the usages are calculated on the basis of the usage statistics. It is only possible to calculate daily values if the correct period indicator (Day = D) is set for the material in the material master.
It is important to display daily values and quantities if you want to find out the date of the last consumption for a material that is a potential slow-moving item. If statistics are kept for a material on a monthly basis, and the 'Daily usage' option is not selected, then the first day of the month in question is set as the date of the last consumption.
Note: The 'Daily usage' option can increase runtimes. ...

  • Disable the USB drive usage of iPod nano

    Hello,
    I am using iPod Nano 4G, 8GB.
I disabled the "Enable disk usage" option in iTunes, also the the manual mode is disabled. I dont want my iPod to be detected as a Mass Storage Device.
But even after these, whenever I am connecting my iPod to my machine, it is detecting as a USB Disk!
Can anyone tell me how can I disable my iPod using as a USB drive?
    Many thanks in advance

    Hi wfjones,
Welcome to the Support Communities!  Below is a link to the iPod Nano User Manual. The VoiceOver feature is explained on page 49-51.
iPod Nano 7th Gen User Manual - Using Voiceover - Page 49
    http://manuals.info.apple.com/MANUALS/1000/MA1624/en_US/ipod_nano_user_guide.pdf
Set up VoiceOver on iPod nano:
1 Connect EarPods or headphones to iPod nano.
2 On the Home screen, tap Settings, then tap General.
    3 Tap Accessibility.
4 Tap VoiceOver, then set any of these options:
Speak Hints: Explains how to interact with the item in the VoiceOver cursor. You may want to turn this on to help you learn how to use iPod nano, and turn it off later.
Speaking Rate: Increases or decreases the rate of speech for VoiceOver. This does not affect the speech rate for audiobooks or podcasts.
Language: Sets the language for VoiceOver. It should match the language set for iPod nano.
5 Tap to turn VoiceOver On/Off
If this is the first time you turned on VoiceOver on iPod nano, a dialog appears.
6 Tap OK in the dialog, then double-tap OK to confirm.
If you can’t see the screen, move your finger until you hear “OK button,” then double-tap with one finger.
If you do nothing for 15 seconds, the dialog disappears and VoiceOver turns off.
When VoiceOver is on, you use a different set of gestures to control iPod nano. If you change your mind and want to turn VoiceOver off, double-tap with two fingers to move the switch to Off. If you navigate away from the Settings screen, you need to use VoiceOver gestures to return to the setting and turn it off.
    Quickly activating accessibility features
You can set iPod nano to switch Invert Colors or VoiceOver off and on when you press the Home button three times. This makes it easier to share iPod nano with another person who doesn’t need the same features.
    Turn on the accessibility shortcut:
1 On the Home screen, tap Settings > General.
    2 Tap Accessibility.
3 Tap Triple-click Home, then tap one of the options.
    Cheers,
    - Judy

  • HT4623 What do I do if there is no option to update the software in the settings app

I am trying to update my iPads OS but the option is not available in my settings on the iPad, though the websites I have gone to all say the option should be between the "about" and "usage" options. I thought that maybe I would have to plug it in to my computer to update it but my iTunes does not recognize it and I think that is because it require an update first. What do i do?

    See
iOS 5: Updating your device to iOS 5
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4972
iOS: How to update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4623
If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect to your computer & click on the "Update your device using iTunes".
Tip - You may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily.  Then download and install the iOS update. After you update to iOS 5.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).

  • Application to track usage while on Passport plan

    Hey there
I’d be happy to help with tracking your usage!
One option to track your usage will be the myAT&T app which will detail your remaining usage available. If you need an immediate update on usage, I would recommend using options available on the device itself to track usage if available. For example, many devices offer a data usage option in Settings which will detail how much data you have used. Alternatively, apps such as Onavo Count can be used to count your data usage as it happens!
    I hope this helps!
    Charise

What is the name of the application I can use to view/track calls and data usage while I am in Canada(live in US). I purchased the $30 Passport plan that allows a minimum amount of data, so I want to make sure we haven't accidentally used more.

Probably too late for an answer but I try,
We are not able to build our J2EE 1.4 application with weblo 10, we have to build them with weblo 8 which contains the xdoclet. then we deploy it in WL10. then sometimes we have to fix some build constraints that WL10 doesn't allow anymore.

  • Weblogic.rmic - no IDL for business remote

    Hi,
I managed to access a Weblogic EJB via RMI/IIOP and Corba. The IDLs were created with weblogic.ejbc. But weblogic.ejbc warns that it is deprecated and weblogic.rmic should be used.
    So I tried that.
    weblogic.rmic -idl -idlVerbose MyHome MyRemote
Unfortunately, weblogic.rmic does not generate IDLs for my business remote and home, only for spec classes like javax\ejb\RemoveEx.idl.
I tried (the wrong, I guess) sample command line from
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12840_01/wls/docs103/client/corba_idl.html#wp1065917
which uses the EJB class as argument, but this does not generate anything useful.
How should I call weblogic.rmic to get IDLs for Home and Remote Interfaces?
