  • BlackBerry Playbook: "ID Agreement" Unable to continue. -Solution

Today, after the purchase of my BlackBerry Playbook, I couldn't wait to get started, as for everyone else that has purchased one since the release date. But, as for me and everyone else who purchased one, I'm sure you have ran into the issue, that the Playbook doesn't continue during the "ID Agreement" screen. Even though you are showing to be connected to your Wireless Network.
Even though it was a little disappointed that didn't work right away, I still wasn't going to give up. After looking around and connecting/disconnecting multiple times, I still couldn't get past that screen. So, to get straight to the solution or at least what worked for me right away.
    Solution:
After multiple attempts of Connecting/Disconnecting, I noticed that the Playbook was at least finding the Wireless network, so I knew it couldn't be a hardware issue, but instead a Software issue. So, instead I manually added the Playbook to my Router via it's MAC Address.
    * Make sure your Wireless Network is on and Broadcasting. (Unless hidden)
    - On your PC/MAC Open your Web Browser.
Type in the address bar your IPv4 Default Gateway. (ex: 192.168.1.1)
    Login using your Router Username/Password.
*Note: Default username/password is admin/admin. (See your router MFG for username/password)
Under "Wireless Settings" locate "Wireless Card Access List".
    Click on "Add".
Go back to your Playbook, and scroll back to your "Connect to Wi-Fi" screen.
Click on the "Settings" button located on the Left hand corner.
On the drop menu select " Network Connection".
Go back to your Router Setup page.
Add the Device name. (ex: BB Playbook)
In the "Network Connection" screen in your Playbook type the MAC Address shown at the bottom, in your Router Setup page . (ex: E1:2E:B3:F4:F5:6D)
Click "Add". (*Wait for Router to restart)
After router has restarted. Go back to your " Connect To Wi-Fi" page in your Playbook and connect to your Wireless SSID (if hidden, connect Manually to the Network).
Test connection by selecting "Hotspot Setup" on the lower left hand corner next to the "Settings" button. A Blackberry Logo and "Successfully connected to Wireless Network message" will appear.
    Continue to the "ID Agreement".
    Done!
Again, these steps worked for me immediately after Manually adding the MAC Address to my Wireless Router. Hopefully it works the same for the rest.
    Thank You!

  • Issues with Blackberry Playbook not being recognised by Windows Explorer

Hello, I'm new to the forums but am having the same problems as many others are, that being my Playbook not regonised by Windows Explorer. I have tried all of the solutions I have read like unistalling Desktop Manager, uninstalling then re-installing drives in Windows Device Manager. But one I recently stumbled across was uninstalling Blackberry Device Manager, how do I do this?
Also the main problem appears to be that my Playbook will not sync anything with my computer. In Desktop Manager I can back-up my Playbook, but not sync anything. After re-installing a drive I now get the message of: 'Your Blackberry device is not compatible with this feature' whereas before I got the message of: 'You haven't configured any sync methods' but yet all of the sync options were greyed out.
How do I get Windows Explorer to recognise my Playbook as a drive and how can I sync in Desktop Manager?
    Thanks in advance!
    Note: I'm using Windows 7 32-Bit

  • Looking to change my BlackBerry ID on the BlackBerry PlayBook

    Hi sir
when need to download any applications from my world says error and need to sign in with my blackberry playbook ID but at 1st the time adjust my blackberry playbook send it to a technical centre and they adjust it and they use there email to to register my blackberry playbook ID and password and now can not get password so I am looking to change my blackberry ID on the blackberry playbook

See this KB article:  KB26694 How to change the BlackBerry ID on a BlackBerry PlayBook tablet or BlackBerry smartphone
Changing the BlackBerry ID on the BlackBerry PlayBook or BlackBerry 10 smartphone:
In order to change the BlackBerry ID that is associated to the BlackBerry 10 smartphone or a BlackBerry PlayBook tablet, a security wipe will need to be performed.
Warning: Performing the security wipe will result in loss of stored data on the smartphone or tablet. Be sure to create a backup and also transfer files to a computer prior to performing the security wipe.
Note: In this scenario, the backup file will not be able to be restored to the device since it will be using a new BlackBerry ID. For more information, see KB31317.
Prior to performing a security wipe of the smartphone or tablet, transfer files to a computer so the files can then be transferred back to the smartphone or tablet after the security wipe is complete and the new BlackBerry ID is configured. See the following links for information:
KB26068 - How to transfer files to and from the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet and BlackBerry 10 smartphone.
Manually synchronize music files to the BlackBerry 10 smartphone or BlackBerry PlayBook tablet.
Import your contacts and calendar appointments from Microsoft Outlook.
    To perform the security wipe:
On the BlackBerry 10 smartphone, see KB33591.
On the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet, see KB27188.
Once the security wipe has been completed, a new BlackBerry ID can be configured on the smartphone or tablet during the initial setup.

  • Cannot connect Blackberry Playbook

I just bought a Jetpack 4620 this weekend and have connected laptops, BB phone, and Kindle to the MiFi device but cannot connect the Playbook.  I have tried every wireless key type without success.  I can see the increased activity on the Jetpack as it tries to connect but either times out, returns to the device listing page, or asks to reenter the password.  I have tried saving the connection and deleting the saved connection.  No dice.  Any ideas?

  • No Direct support for BlackBerry PlayBook tablet - why not I just bought it?

I've just bought a playbook. It says it comes with complimentary technical support for 90 days form the date of purchase. I have attempted to register the device using the S/N number as required and I get the following:
Unfortunately, your BlackBerry® PlayBook™ tablet does not qualify for Complimentary Support. You can, however, get assistance using incident based support from Research In Motion.
    Why? grrrrrrrrrrrr

It should be. The complimentary support is just for help setting it up.
If you visit http://blackberry.com/support and follow the link for PlayBook you should get a phone number you can call, and RIM support will be able to help you.

  • Curve 9320 and Blackberry Playbook

I'm having issues pairing my device (9320) with my new Blackberry Playbook. The software on my phone is 7.1 Bundle 2039. I can pair both devices together through Blackberry Bridge but it shows that I've recieved new emails but doesnt let me open them.
I paired the Playbook with a friends phone (9360) which operates on a different system 7.1 Bundle 1133. And this works fine and we can access the emails and the device and playbook work fine.
Can I get the same software on my 9320 or any other suggestions please?
    Thanks
    Shane

    Hi Shane900,
Make sure you are using the latest version of BlackBerry® Bridge™ available in BlackBerry App World™ then test it again.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Is there any chance it got wet? The symptom you describe sounds quite similar to what can happen in that case. If so, then:
    REMOVE YOUR BB BATTERY NOW!!!
Run, don't walk, to this FAQ:
    http://www.blackberryfaq.com/index.php/Got_Your_BlackBerry_Wet%3F
Do everything it says, including waiting the maximum recommended time. Applying power to your BB between it getting wet and doing this process reduces the chances of success. Further, the only thing predictable about moisture intrusion into a BB (indeed, any electronic device) is that the results will be unpredictable. I've seen some come back up right away and be fine. I've seen others never work at all. I've seen still others run for a bit, and then die later. And every thing in between.
    Good luck!

I want to changed the ringtone to MP3 of my choice. Is there any way to do it in Playbook? I am using the latest version 2.0.1.358 .This is a very basic thing and should have been present in the Playbook...

Hello bipasasahu and welcome to the BlackBerry® Support Community Forums.

  • Where's the Blackberry PlayBook CD?

Still trying to find ways to transfer video files from my PlayBook to my IMac. I've downloaded the BlackBerry article: "How to transfer files to and from the Blackberry PlayBook tablet." WIFI sharing is an option, but at this point I'd still stumped by some of the instructions. The article also has a section entitled: "File Sharing with a Mac via USB connection". That one looks a bit more straightforward so I thought I'd try that. Problem here is that instruction #2 says "On the desktop or within Finder, double click "BlackBerry PlayBook CD"?
What CD? I've checked my box and sure enough no CD came with my Playbook. If you read "Kit Contains" on the box it's clearly not listed. So baffled. Might there be a way to download this CD?
    John
p.s. I'm going this route to download video to my Mac because of problems I'm having using the BlackBerry Desktop Software. It keeps sending the video to IPhoto.
    Solved!

Thanks for that jarviser. I was wondering, but I don't have a Mac so I can't confirm the little things like that. Will see if I can pass that info on so that it gets fixed.
