I can not do anything when I open office at all, I am self emplyed and need to do my books asap. it asks for the product key but the sticker at the bottom of the laptop has rubbed off. up untill last month I was able to use word, exel etc fine.

When you purchased your laptop you were granted to evaluate m office for 3 month, it was a trial version. Now you have to buy it if you want to use it again. You can use Open Office:

Please take a look at the article referenced below, the same as in my original reply. The receiver on the iPhone does not have anything to do with the speakers on the bottom of the phone nor your microphone.
Clear the receiver
The iPhone receiver won't work properly if it's blocked or dirty. Here's where the receiver is:
Follow these steps, testing after each:
Make sure nothing is blocking the receiver, such as a case or film.
If you have a new iPhone, remove the plastic film on the front and back of the device.
Check the receiver opening to see if it's blocked or dirty. If necessary, clean the receiver opening with a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush.
While you're on a call, turn on speakerphone. If you still can't hear, then your network or reception could be the issue. Try calling again later or from a different location.
Restart and update
Restart your iPhone and test again.
If there's still no sound or poor sound quality, update to the latest version of iOS.

I can't use Photobooth - when I open the app, I get the message: "Photo Booth couldn't save your photos - Photo Both encountered an error when trying to save your photos. You photos cannot be saved at this time."
i tried adding user macintosh hd/users/your_user/pictures/"photo booth" but still photo booth is not working and even images in photo booth cant be deleted they keep coming backBack up all data.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it.
I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, they may not work as described.
Step 1
If you have more than one user account, and the one in question is not an administrator account, then temporarily promote it to administrator status in the Users & Groups preference pane. To do that, unlock the preference pane using the credentials of an administrator, check the box markedAllow user to administer this computer, then reboot. You can demote the problem account back to standard status when this step has been completed.
Triple-click anywhere in the following line on this page to select it:

☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, you may have to press the return key after pasting.
You'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The command may take a few minutes to run, or perhaps longer if you have literally millions of files in your home folder. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign (“$”) to appear, then quit Terminal.
Step 2 (optional)
Take this step only if you have trouble with Step 1 or if it doesn't solve the problem.
Boot into Recovery. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open.
In the Terminal window, type this:
res
Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
resetpassword
Press return. A Reset Password window will open. You’re not going to reset a password.
Select your boot volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.

When I open Outlook 2007 my Firefox 3.6.13 session freezes why is this?
I am running Firefox 3.6.13 on a Windows XP SP3 PC and I am hitting a problem regularly when I open Outlook 2007 it causes my Firefox session to stop responding to web page load requests.
When I try to reload FF the system pops up a message saying the process is already running and even when I kill the process using Task Manager and reload the problem remains until I restart my PC and during shutdown I normally get a message about 'nsappshell not closing' until I force close and the system restarts and then the problem disappears. This conflict between Outlook & FF does not happen every time but it is frequent enough to be a real pain ! Anyone else have this problem or have any suggestions??I believe I've solved this issue by carrying out the following action:-
First cancel all “send and receive” operations in OutLook. Next remove all emails from your "Outbox" (by either deleting them or moving them to the “Draft” folder). Next shutdown OutLook and then click on the “Start” button on the lower left-hand side of the Window’s taskbar, then click on “Run” now type in “regsvr32.exe inetcomm.dll” without the quotation marks, so it looks like this:
regsvr32.exe inetcomm.dll
Note the space between .exe and inetcomm.dll and hit “Enter” on the keyboard.
The computer will execute the command. If all goes well in a few moments a dialog box will appear and state “dll registered successful

An Apple salesman told me there is an add-on to open Office 2007 files in Office:Mac. Can someone point me to the download location for this? I'm a brand new Mac user so I'm still a little lost. Thanks!

Can not upload anything when Finder window pops up on Mavericks
Running Mavericks here and just can not upload anything anymore on Facebook for example, it also happens on other webpages too where the finder window pops up to select a file to upload. The browser freezes and I have to force quit it, tried Safari, Chrome and Firefox... all the same, this leads me to believe it's a Finde issue. Don't know what to do! Bellow the crash report:

I finally found this article which helped but when I completely quit Firefox i continue to get the error. I then go back in, double-click to toggle from false to true again, quit Firefox and the problem goes away again. I do not understand anything further to this problem and do not want to continue to repeat this process every time I quite Firefox. Any suggestions or other help?

I can't do anything when "generating peak file for..." ends.
After the reinstallation, I have a problem with "genarating peak file for.." , when it ends (when progress bar is full) the program stops and I can't do anything.
After the program is disabled, a message appears:

I can't click anything when i start Firefox up...
I've had mozilla firefox for quite a while now and i've never had any trouble until now... when i start firefox up i can do NOTHING i cant write click anything or even use short bcommands. Its just like a picture (with some moving things) that i can't do anything on... Does anyone have a solution? (Btw im on explorer right now and it works just fine)

I'd try starting Firefox in [[Safe Mode]]. If you don't have the issue while all of your add-ons, extensions, and themes are disabled, you can try adding them back in one by one until you find the culprit. You should look at the [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting-extensions-themes Extensions and Themes troubleshooting guide ] and the [[Troubleshooting plugins]] article as well.

Why am I unable to use anything when I open Firefox?
I've been having this problem since I installed the beta. When I open up Firefox, the screen immediately freezes. Nothing is able to function: the url bar, my home page, the menu bar, NOTHING. I've even tried reinstalling the beta twice (beta 4.9 and 4.11), but nothing seems to work.
To say the least, I'm disappointed, but it would be extremely appreciated if i could get a solution to this conundrum.I have a pretty similar problem.
However, I've found that it only affects search engines. I'm guessing you have one of those as your home page.
You could try saving an internet page using another browser, then opening it in Firefox. If it's the same problem I'm having, the browser should work as long as it doesn't go on the google domain or other search engines. -
From my macbook..I have a few times seen the IMac listed on the devices list. I don't know what I did to make it appear but I was able to
file share..etc. Now ...when I open Sharing folder from laptop..I see "IMac" as Computer name. Should this be changed? Screen Sharing:On..Allow access for all users is checked. I don't know how to launch my Imac screen again. Please advise. Thanks!If screen share it turned on with both computers there are several ways to then screen share. First ensure Screen Sharing is selected on each computer in System Preferences - Sharing. Once this is done then open a Finder Window on the Left you will see Shared on the left side, then click the computer you want to share and you will see a screen like the following. From there click where it says Screen Share.

I have two accounts setup on Mac OS X 10.4.4. Both accounts are administrator accounts. I installed Microsoft Office: mac 2004 in administraor account "A". When I log into administrtraor account "B" office is not in my Dock. I can access it through the finder but when I open it is a "trial version" offering me the opportunity to use it for 30 days untill I purchase it. I tried installing office again in the second account. Same result. Would I have to purchase a seperate Microsoft Office bundle for the second account on the same computer? This seems strange, is there a way around this? Thank you for taking the time to respond - this is pretty important for my work, and appreciate every moment you spend explaining this to me! Opening Office 2007 and 2010 documents in FDM as Custom documents
Hi Gurus, could you please help with this one.
I am trying to load Office 2007 and 2010 documents as custom documents in FDM. I can load the files successfully but when I try to open the loaded excel (xlsx) or word (docx) file, it opens up as a zip for me to save. I have added the docx, xlsx & pptx mime file types in the workspace without any luck as according to the following document *Incorrect format of MS Office 2007/2010 Files Downloaded from EPM Workspace [ID 1426071.1]*
