  • How to down load CCMS configuration to a file

    Dear Experts
    We have configured CCMS in solution manager for system monitoring. I want to down load all the CCMS configuration to a spread sheet, Basically i need to MTEs, auto reaction methods assigned, threshold values , description etc
    Please let me know if there is any standard report or any other way to down the entire CCMS configuration to a file,
    Thank you
    Bimal

    Hi Bimal,
    Sadly there is no such feature (although you are not the first person to want it!).  As long as you assigned your autoreaction methods at the MTE class level instead of the MTE level, you can get this directly from the tables:
    CSMTOOLASG - central ARM assignments in the central monitoring system
    ALCLASTOOL - local method assignments in each satellite system (use query WHICHTOOL = 030 to only see ARM assignments)
    The threshold settings are always stored in the satellite systems, check the tables:
    ALGRPCUSPF Alert: Group Customizing data performance class
    ALMTCUSPER Alert: MT-specific Customizing Performance-Class
    Another approach would be to create a custom tree in RZ20 containing only the nodes that you are interested in.  From that tree it would be easy to go to Views --> Threshold Values and Views --> Status Autoreaction.  This would give you a LIVE view of the current threshold values & ARM assigments (which you could print or save as a local file for your records if desired).  True, it would not be in a table form, but actually CCMS is hard to put in a table form anyways, because of the tree structure of the MTEs.

  • Troubleshooting of CCMS Configuration in SAP-PI 7.1

    Hi
    I have configured the CCMS configuration in PI 7.1 My intention to raise the email alerts if anything goes wrong
    I have done it using the below weblogs....
    /people/sap.user72/blog/2005/11/24/xi-configuring-ccms-monitoring-for-xi-part-i
    /people/aravindh.prasanna/blog/2005/12/24/configuring-scenario-specific-e-mail-alerts-in-xi-ccms-part-2
    http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/3187. [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken]
    I have done the following steps in 000 client
    1. activated the central Dispatching job
    2. Configured the SCOT
    3. created the RFC destination to target client (200 in my case ) .. as per note 0176492
    4. Specified the parameters in CCMS_OnAlert_Email_V2 .Sender id existing user in 000 client.
    Below are the parameters i have specified in Auto reaction method
    SENDER- SAP*
    RECIPIENT- mentioned mail address
    RECIPIENT-TYPEID- U
    Here i do have one doubt on sender id. do we need to specify the dialog user or does SAP* serve our purpose.?
    I hope everything as per procedure and now i do see alerts in RZ20 t-code dnt get any email alerts
    Can someone through some light on this.. and guide how to troubleshoot my configuration.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Regards,
    Deep

    You can use any dialog/system user, the user must have a valid e-mail address populated on the user master though.

  • CCMS configuration question - more than one sapccmsr agent on one server

    Hello all,
    this might be a newbie question, please excuse:
    We have several SAP systems installed on AIX in several LPARs. SAP aplication server and SAP database is always located in different LPARs, but one LPAR can share application server of several SAP systems or databases of several SAP systems.
    So I want to configure SAPOSCOL and CCMS-Agents (sapccmsr) on our databse LPARS. SAPOSCOL is running - no problem so far. Due to the circumstance that we have DBs for SAP systems with kernel 4.6d, 6.40 (nw2004), 7.00 (nw2004s) I want to use two different CCMS-Agents (Version 6.40 non-unicode to connect to SAP 4.6d and 6.40 + Version 7.00 unicode to connect to SAP 7.00).
    AFAIK only one of these can use shared memory segment #99 (default) - the other one has to be configured to use another one (e.g. #98) but I don't know how (could'nt find any hints on OSS + Online Help + CCMs-Agent manual).
    Any help would be appreciated
    regards
    Christian

    Hello,
    has really no one ever had this kind of problem? Do you all use either one (e.g. windows) server for one application (e.g. SAP application or database) or the same server for application and database? Or don't you use virtual hostnames (aliases) for your servers, so that in all mentioned cases one CCMS-Agent on one server would fit your requirements? I could hardly believe that!
    kind regards

  • XI CCM Configuration Scenario

    Hi,
    In the CCM Cookbook there are two business scenario sections, 'configuration for uploading supplier data' and 'master data transfer to connected SRM server'. I'm not sure what these two are actually used for as well as which one would you use if you want to upload or load the catalog with your own materials using SRM program BBP_CCM_TRANSFER_CATALOG?
    Regards,
    Jerry

    Hi Jerry,
    some ellaboration:
    uploading supplier data' :
    Here you get information/content from suppliers in one of the formats (CSV/XML/Ecx/BME catt.You upload the same in CAT (catlog authoring tool) of CCM with Cat_Manager role.
    'master data transfer :
    Here yr SRM product masters are transferred to CCM-CAT by running the said report which generated the catalog SRM_EXTRACTED_CATALOG in CAT automatically.

  • CCM configuration.

    Hi
    We are in SRM4.0, we plan to configure CCM .
    Do we need to define logical systems in SPRO for CCM as well.
    Regards
    Ashish

    Hi,
    If you have different client/system for CCM then you need a different logical system, we used both CCM and SRM in same client so logical system for CCM is same as SRM system.
    Hope this answers your question.

  • CCMS configuration for historical data of a new application server

    Out CI & app servers are configured in CCMS before I joined the team. Around months back a new application server added but it seems for that CCMS is not capturing histrorical data.
    In ST6N, I get all app servers name including the new one. When I click on the new app server and click on Snapshot then detailed information for CPU,memory etc are displayed but when I click on resources under "Previous hours" or "History" to get CPU,memory etc details then an error pop-up is displayed i.e. "No Performance MTEs  availbale for category CPU" or "No Performance MTEs availbale for category MEM" [availbale <- SAP typo].
    How to make sure that we can get previous hours and as well historical cpu,memory use informations ?

    Hi, the data you are trying to see is collected by saposcol.
    1) Log on to the specific application server and verify that everything is working correctly with saposcol:
    ST06->Operating System Collector->Status
    ST06->Operating System Collector->Available days
    ST06->Operating System Collector->Log file.
    2) Installing an additional App server should have configured the statistical data setup automatically:
    ST03N - check if the the app server is listed.
    ST03N->Collector->Performance Monitor collector->Log
    3) Check transaction RZ03 that there are no conflics in the Operation Mode.
    4) Run the program RSCOLL00 manually on that app server.
    This should give you a starting point .....

  • CCMS Configuration - Central Monitoring and Email Alerts with Solution Mgr

    I am trying to configure my CCMS alerts on my satellite systems to be linked into the Solution manager system (acting as the CEN monitoring node). If I have already setup my RZ20 alerts, is there a way I can just link these into Solution Manager.
    Thanking you for your suggestions

    Try setting up the monitoring RFC connections in SMSY. Once those are setup, you can pull the CCMS data in and view within tran SOLUTION+MANAGER.
    If you need more detail, just update this message.

  • Configure "Query Builder" for Theta-Style Joins over ANSI-Style Joins

    Can SQL Developer be configured to auto generate theta-style joins instead of ANSI-style joins when building queries? This happens when I generate a query using the Query Builder and then switch over to the Worksheet tab to see the SQL code.
    Sample code:
    Theta-style join syntax uses commas to separate multiple table names and creates the joins in the Where clause:
    SELECT c.name
    FROM instructors i, courses c
    WHERE i.firstname = 'Mary' AND i.lastname = 'Williams'
    AND i.course_id = c.course_id;
    ANSI syntax uses the JOIN and ON keywords instead:
    SELECT c.name
    FROM instructors i JOIN courses c
    ON i.course_id = c.course_id
    WHERE i.firstname = 'Mary' AND i.lastname = 'Williams';

    Hi Wes,
    There is no preference for configuring this that I know of, but Query Builder is fairly clever about detecting your flavor of SQL from the worksheet then sticking with it. If you design it graphically, the default flavor is ANSI, but QB seems to respect any worksheet edits that switch it to another flavor. I wouldn't vouch for that absolutely, but perhaps it's behavior you can take advantage of.

  • CCMS Configuration RFC Error

    Hi
    I am trying to configure CCMS in our landscape.
    In RZ21 - Technical Infrastructure - Configure Central System - Create Remote Monitoring Entry
    When I try to Create a new ABAP system RFC connection, I am recieving an error
    "Error when opening an RFC Connection"
    "Error during remote call of SAL_MS_GET_LOCAL_MS_INFO function:"
    I was using client - 000, User - csmreg.
    SOLMAN 7 Ehp1.
    Please help me in resolving this error.
    Thanks and Regards
    laxmikanth

    Hi
    Thank you for your replies.
    I am working on SOLMAN 7 EhP1.
    I have logged into SOLMAN using my User ID and not CSMREG
    In RZ21 - Technical Infrastructure -->Configure Central System -->Create Remote Monitoring Entry
    In EhP1 the screen is modified so that we can create RFC Connections SID_RZ20_COLLECT & SID_RZ20_ANALYZE without using SMSY or SM59. We have to give the entries for
    1. Type of System ( In drop down list) - ABAP, JAVA, DualStack, etc.
    2. SID
    3. Hostname
    4. Client Number
    5. User for RFC Connection. (here I am using CSMREG of the Monitored ABAP System)
    As we give the above entries RFC Connections to monitored systems are automatically created.
    For this I am getting errors:
    "Error when opening an RFC Connection"
    "Error during remote call of SAL_MS_GET_LOCAL_MS_INFO function:"

  • CCMS - Configuring a Avg. for all server instances.

    Is there any way to get this ????
    We get the Data for the Individual server instance Production_01 where as I want it for the entire system.
    As mentioned below in detail...
    RZ20 - Transaction .
    SAP CCMS Technical Expert Monitors
      -> System / All Monitoring Segments / All Monitoring Contexts
        -> SAP_CCMS_Production
          -> Production_01
            -> R3BasisSystem
              -> MemoryManagement
                -> R3MemMgmtResources
                  -> EsAct
    Now for this we are currently monitoring only 1 instance . Something
    like this is required .
    Currently, for system MP1 (same problem for MP2 and MP3), I can use the
    class MTE R3MemMgmtEsAct to monitor the Extended Memory.
    R3MemMgmtEsAct checks the avaibility of Extended Memory for an AS.
    I want get an alert only if the Extended Memory is not available for
    all the AS in the system MP1, not only for an AS.
    If I set a threshold value / 90% of Extended Memory used, I don't want
    an alert if there are an AS with 95% of Extended Memory used and an
    other AS with 20% used.
    => If there are 5 AS in my system : AS1=20% / AS2=20% / AS3=20%... =>
    5x20=100% for the system.
    Exemple1 / threshold value 90% :
    Consumption / AS1 = 50% (-> 10% for the system)
    Consumption / AS2 = 100% (-> 20% for the system)
    Consumption / AS3 = 50% (-> 10% for the system)
    Consumption / AS4 = 50% (-> 10% for the system)
    Consumption / AS5 = 50% (-> 10% for the system)
    => Extended Memory used for the system = 60% => NO ALERT GENERATED
    Exemple2 / threshold value 90% :
    Consumption / AS1 = 89%
    Consumption / AS2 = 100%
    Consumption / AS3 = 89%
    Consumption / AS4 = 89%
    Consumption / AS5 = 89%
    => Extended Memory used for the system = 91,2% => ALERT GENERATED
    => I want check the system (several AS), not an AS.
    Thanks to all in advance.
    Regards,
    Ravi Sharma

    Hai,
    First of all this is not possible at least with SAP tools.
    Secondly why do you want to produce alert by calculating the average of the threshold values in %.
    As per under SAP standard, if you have 5 application servers for a system then if any one application system goes beyond the set threshold a alert will be produced for the particular application server. This will help us to rectify the problem in that application server.
    As per your query if at all you setup the alert management then if 3 application servers goes beyond the set threshold (say 95%) and still if the total average for all the 5 application servers does not go beyond the limit you had set (say 90%) then you will not know that 3 of the application servers has already gone beyond the threshold (as per SAP standards). This will cause the system to be overloaded and can cause some other consequences. Keeping the standard setup will help in good way to maintain your system.
    Having the CCMS setup in the standard setup is better, which helps us to maintain systems individually.

    could you please provide me with an information or documentation about configuring CCMS  from the beginning? I really want to read about it but step by step from the beginning. What i have to do to have it set up at my system? Which steps i have to preform first before starting configuring the CCMS? If you have some documentation form me (the dummey) ) i will be happy
    thanks a lot guys

    hi,
        stsrt the CCMS T code:SRZL.
       CCMS should be regularly used and maintained by the system administrators both of keeping a smooth operation and making the most out of the available sources.
      if you cinfigure the CCMS.first do these ones.
    1.configure the instances and operetional modes.(RZ04)
    2.alert thresholds
    3.configure and submit the performance collectors.
    4.configure logon groups.
    USES for CCMS:
    1.online alert monitoring.
    2.performance problem analysys.
    3.importing and maintaining the SAP system profiles.
