Hi all,
How to add a check box in a smartform ?

You can use the following in menu bar.
Insert->Characters->SAP symbols->SYM_CHECKBOX
But in second method you cannot see checkbox in print preview.Check out whether you are getting it in printer.

Putting tick mark into check box in smartform

hi,
   can any one please let me know if i can put a tick mark in the check box of the smartform.
   for example: i need to select one among yes or no check box. how do i do it.
   should i have to upload a graphic of the tick mark and then display or is there any provision in smartforms to do that.

Hi~
You can find so many stuffs here as vinod said.
If I explain more additionaly,
In your smartforms, you can find small icon for 'TXT Editor' and then you could find symbols here,
Inclue -> Characters -> SAP Symbols.
In symbols, you may find 'SYM_CHECKBOX' for checked one, and the other 'SYM_LARGE_SQUARE'.
looks like somepeole says it doesn't work in some cases, at that case, you can use [X] ,[ ] instead.

Hi Shashi,
You can't directly print a checkbox as such in a smartform. But, there is a workaround.
Create two GraphicElements (for checked / unchecked). Assigned images to (for tick and untick) them.
In the conditions tab of GraphicElement enter conditions -
1. for checked - field = 'X'
2. for unchecked - field = ' '
To add images of tick and untick to system, Use transaction SO73.

In the folder node of the smart form, i want to use the check box ' Page Protection'. But the check box is disabled. Can any one guide me how to enable the check box. Thanks in advance.

I did like that,
I created one folder and I selected the checkbox in output options.
when I am trying to create "TABLE" in that folder, it's automatically resetting the checkbox.
error text "Page protection for node %FOLDER1 was reset"

In the text node *web properties*
Give the
field name (Chkbox) Input type select the check box from the list and display the check box.
Refer the standard program *SF_WEBFORM_03* .
First page -- > main window --> Reservations --> loop --> webfields --> text node --> web properties (cancelled cell).

Hi All,
My requirement is to print a checkbox in the smartform output page. Somehow i came to know that in Web properties of the text node , we can choose a checkbox. But i am not able to figure out how it is to be implemented or what are the steps to create a checkbox.
Kindly help me on this.

To use Check box in smartform do the following:
Change the editor to 'PC Editor' and take the menu.
in text editor of TEXT ELEMENTS..
Insert -> Characters -> SAP Symbols
in print preview u can't see these changes..

We can create symbols in smartforms. For this, change the editor to text editor and then goto insert->characters->SAP Symbols and select the symbol you want.
You cannot see the symbols in print preview, it'll appear only on a hard copy.
You can also create as Text Element. In the left side of the right window,you can see a icon called Editor.Click it.
Then in the Menu,
go to->Change Editor
Then in the menu,
Insert->Characters->Displayable characters,select the character you want.Otherwise,if you want to insert SAP Icon,select that option instead of Displayable Character.

Page protction check box is disabled in smartform

Hi Everybody.
      I need to have pageprotection for a table node in smartform.
The issue is the pageprotection check box is disabled in outputoptions of table node.I tried to create a folder & put this table node inside the folder. Then also the pageprotection check box is diabled in outputoptions of my folder. Pls guide me in resolving this issue. Do we have any other go to have page protection for the table node.Table node is must in my requirement.

                   I think Page protection is not possible inside the table node it wont work.
                          Better create seperate templates for header data and main area,footer .you can create loop for main area and try page protection command inside the loop.

you can use either any one of the follwings in your text elements.

in the print preview, it wont be visible. but when you take the print on the paper you will see the check box.
