Re confirmation of Routing Steps

Dear Friends, Let's suppose I've done the confirmation of all steps in routing and then FG moved to stock with MIGO, and then unit is dispatched also, What if I can go to the confirmation (CO11N) and reverse any confirmation and then re define again with some correction. This activity we are doing at period end closing, when controlling says production cost is not correct. Any harm in doing this from FICO??

Reversing CO11N is not a good idea...
Use KB21N - Where Sender = Cost center, Receiver = Prod order and Act Qty can be +ve or -ve depending on how you want to rectify (Increase or decrease the cost in Prod order)

Unable to create routing step with reporting step null

We have scenario like not all the step in the Routing should be reported to SAP ECC at time of assembly component. YieldConfirmation should only be triggered for certain routing step.
1.Production order is downloaded from ECC to SAP ME via SAPMEINT by LOIPRO01 IDOC.
2. Added check like for certain cases only Routing step should have reporting step.
Getting null pointer exception when Production order IDOC is coming from ECC to SAP ME.

All routing steps that come from ERP must have Reporting Step.
If you need to have only one ERP Reporting Step, you can import LOIPRO with a one-step routing without auto-release of the order, then update the routing in Routing Maintenance of SAP ME to add whatever steps you need before and after this ERP routing step, and then release the order. Then all component assembled before the reporting step will be confirmed to ERP when you complete this step.
As alternative, you can update the ERP routing via XLST of SAPMEINT to include non-ERP (ME-specific) steps.

Processing of two routing steps in BOM at the same time .

I have two routing steps with different resources for an item but I process them parallelly. I know that I cannot duplicate the sequence number. How can I achieve that in BOM?

Hi Sean,
I assume your routing steps are two operations.
I think in Discrete Manufacturing there is a way to define parallel resources. This can extend across operations, so from a scheduling perspective, you can schedule two operations in parallel. So for example, if the resource at operation 30 is scheduled to overlap the prior resource at operation 20, the two operations would effectively be scheduled in parallel.
The limitation is that you still need to report the operations in the correct sequence ... or skip reporting one or both. But won't be able to record completion of operation 30 before you've reported completion of operation 20, because WIP will say you have no available quantity at operation 30.

GPS on N8 - see route step by step

I find the GPS app to be excellent, but can not find how to see the route step-by-step. Perhaps this is not possible.

If by step by step, you mean a text listing of your route with turns listed, this is not available. This would be a useful feature and maybe you could contact the Nokia Beta Lab to ask if it can be added to a future version. It is however possible to see a graphical display of your route.

Can we do production confirmation withought routing

               There are Sub asseblies(Phantom assembly) which get rejected in line ,we created routing for each sub-aasly ,then manual confirmation (MFBF)& then reject those assembleis.
               But in routing 11 it is calulated twice ...So how to handle this scnario

We are Automobile manufacturing co. & having stages for each line.
Production confirmation (131) is done once at the end of line so basically one routing is set at assly level .
                 But suppose in between line some assly is rejected or suppose in assly there are 2 different parts 1 part is ok but because there is some problem in 2nd part complete assembly is rejected & then we have to debit cost of complete assely to vendor who supplied 2nd part.
                So to handle such senarios for phantom sub-assly(E-50) we create routing to get cost ,then we confirm such sub-assly manually through MFBF ,create their stock in system & then reject.
               We have routing 1,6 11 & Routing 11 is for cost roll up
Now basically problem is that cost of subassembleis get calculated twice .As we have
one work center -one routing - one production confirmation at he end of assly   so system calucalate cost according to time mentioned in routing in which we mentioned timing of those subassemblies(E50) also. but as we create routing agasinst these sub asselibles(E50) system having double impact of routing .So how to handle this ...

How to setup TIme capsule with a DSL router step by step?

Hi All,
Does anyone know how to conncet Time Capsule set by step through a DSL router?
I already have a DSL router, but want to connect my time capsule to that router.
Do i connect it through ethernet?, and is it possible to have my time capsule as a different router at home with a different password than the DSL router?, if so how is that possible?, is going to have the same download/upload speed as the DSL router?

You simply bridge the TC.
Plug it by ethernet into the adsl modem router and it will work fine.

No, the TC will cause trouble if you set it up as a router.. it has to be bridged. You only have a single adsl connection but there are some ISP that allow a secondary pppoe login and some modems that allow it. It is pretty difficult setup. Ask your ISP as there is often a charge that is very high for the second connection. It will still share the same link so there is no improvement in speed, merely two different authentications sharing the same line. The TC can do pppoe client but has nothing very fancy about it.

I keep getting an "untrusted connection" warning for nearly every url including my banks and have to go through the "confirm exception" etc steps. How can I keep having to go through this?????

Two step confirmation with RF device (Mobile Data Entry) - 1st step only

I want to implement the following scenario:
- WM transfer orders are created, relevant for two step confirmation;
- a user working with RF device confirms the 1st step - picking;
- then the materials are transported physically to another building (the same warehouse number);
- another user working with RF device confirms the 2nd step - putaway.
For confirming the 1st step I tried to use standard transaction LM07. Confirmation of the 1st step is working fine but right after that a screen for confirming the 2nd step is displayed to the user. I would like this transaction to finish just after confirming the 1st step and not to proceed with the 2nd step immediately - because the confirmation of the 2nd step should be done by another user (with some other transaction).
What is more: if you exit the transaction manually after confirming the 1st step the system saves the TO number (in table LRF_WKQU) and in some circumstances triggers the screen for confirming the 2nd step even if you do not run LM07 - this is so called "recovery" function which is a nuisance in my case.
So my question is: is there a way to customize LM07 so that it finished processing automatically right after confirming the 1st step for a two step confirmation TO ? (and without storing data for "recovery" function). Or maybe some other mobile-data-entry transaction should be used for that ?

One more information, which i would like to communicate on this issue.
We have raised OSS message to SAP on this issue. They have replied back that, on screen 1302, we have some custom code which is interfering with the system behavior.
As of now, we have analyzed at our end, and we found that, the enhancement at screen 1302 is restricted for the functionality, and in theory, this enhancement should not be effecting at all the system behavior.
SAP has suggested to test the scenario , without any enhancement on screen 1302.
Still we are in discussion with SAP, and try to find out the resolution.
Can you also check in your system, if you have any enhancement on screen 1302 ? And if yes, does it interfering with the stander SAP codes.

WM - Two step confirmation cancellation

Hi Gurus,
I am using the two step confirmation for transfer order in one of my business process (no 2 step picking).
This is a necessary requirement from my client, but I have a little issue with the cancellation. Once the first step is confirmed, all the cancellation transactions issue the error message #L3355.
Physically, the forklift driver should be able to confirm the first step of picking, and also to cancel this first step. However, there seems not to be a standard transaction to cover this "normal" requirement.
Does anyone has an idea on how this process could be carried out in the system ?

If you check the code in...
include: ML03TF90_STORNO_PRUEFEN

...you will see that this is the standard behaviour of the system. SAP online help also says:

If a transfer order has already been confirmed, the only way to change a goods movement to restore the original stock situation is to create a new transfer order.
So, in standard system you have to create a new TO or you have to go to development / modification of standard code.

Confirming TO with 2-step confirmation using L_TO_CONFIRM

I have been using function module L_TO_CONFIRM in several programs with good results, but now I have a scenario where 2-step confirmation is enabled, which means that the TO is confirmed in two steps (with manual confirmation using LT12 you first confirm the "pick" and then in a second confirmation the "transfer").
I have not found a way to do this with L_TO_CONFIRM. The documentation (long text for structure LTAP_CONF) talks about many variants, and even mentions 2-step confirmations in connection with TO splitting, but it never explains how to actually perform the 2-step confirmation. Anyone that has any experience with this? Useful answers will of course be rewarded.

TO 2 steps confirmation BAPI.

I'm trying to perform a 2 steps confirmation of a TO with the FM L_TO_CONFIRM, but I don't find anything in the FM, where I can specify that is a 2 steps confirmation (first pick and then transfer). Do you know how can I do that? or Do you know another FM or BAPI to do that?

Exists a parameter called I_QUKNZ where we can especify if the confirmation is two steps or one step.

2-step transfer order confirmation radio frequency (RF) transaction

Could you please tell me if there is a RF-(mobile) transaction available for a 2-step transfer order confirmation?
Similar to LT1B / LT1C to confirm the "pick"- and "transfer"-step seperatly.

However, this link: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_sm40/helpdata/en/af/c466412ea98447e10000000a1550b0/content.htm says for a putaway process: When RF devices are in use in a warehouse, it is common to confirm TOs in two steps. This means that the worker confirms the first step of the TO at the source bin, and confirms the final step of the TO at the destination bin.

CO11N operation wise confirmation inconsistency

I have a scenario like, 8 operations with last operation milestone confirmation in a production order. Letz say we have 500 as total target quantity and in operation 0010 they confirmed all 500 and from operation 0020 onwards they do partial confirmation say 20, 20, etc. At operation 0040 if they have yield of 19, they enter remaining 1 as quality notification (unplanned scrap)and continue to confirm next operation. In operation 0050 they have to enter yield as 19 only even though yield as 20 'coz they have opn adherence check (OPK4) active. As expected SAP thrown an error 'Up to yield 19, opn/0040 predecessor confirmed'. They just want to have a warning and continue enter 20 at opn 0040 and next successive opns. But I am afraid they can enter anything if they if we simply check that in OPK4 as warning message issued. Do we have any other solution other than changing in OPK4?
Another thing is how can they confirm 20 in operation 0030 and 40 in opn 0040, and some other number in opn 0050 though the target quantity is 500 which is being confirmed at the last operation?

Thanks for your reply and Sorry for my late response..i Iwill explain the actuual business scenario :
We have total qty is 200 confirmation is done in 4 group 50 each.
For example we have Op10/confirmation optional,Op20/confirmation optional,Op30/confirmation optional and Op40/ milesstoine confirmation..All the Opns are confirmed through milestone atg last operation except in case there is scrap qty is present that particular opn is manually confirmed. For first group of 50, we have 49 yield + 1 scrap at Op20 which is maually confirmed. similarly it requires manual confirmation for all the groups weather are not scrap present for remaining groups. Business does not follow any Opn sequence like they may confirm group 1 at Op20 and froup 2 at Op40 and so on..there may be different quiantities confirmed at different steps of routing. For this I configured adherence check to warning but the requirement also include Op10 to be confirmed whenver Op20 is confirmed though none of them is milestone. Also Op20 to b confirmed whenever Op40 uis confirmed in step 2 or 3 or 4 though it was manually confimred for step 1. I have checked enahancements but none of them seem to satisfy the requirements. I really appreciate your suggestson to solve this one.

Why do you want to select the Rotuing manually?
Once if your Product has got 2 different routing ,it might be
because of Shop Floor constraint or for costing purpose,after
creating a new routing,you have to create a Production version
for a combination of Rate routing And BOM.
After that you have to create a Product Cost collector using the
new Production version and create a preleminary product cost
estimate for the product cost collector and save.
If You want to decide at that time of production
confirmation,which routing has to be used,then before this step
you have to change the REM profile for that particular product (
whose activities are posted using the Preleminary cost of the
Product Cost collector).
Check with this,your problem will be solved.
If still exists,revert back to forums.

Can i use another router to extend my wireless network of my airport extreme?

i have a billion router (moddel BiPAC 7300W) I just got myself the airport extreme, i want to use the extreme as the main router and extend the network using the billion router.
steps i have followed on the extreme is as follows:
INTERNET
connection sharing: Distrobute a range of IP addresses
cofig IPv4:set to my home network range(manually) - ip,subnet,router,dns
DHCP
access control: mac address of billion router set to all day every day
steps i have followed on the billion router:
disabled NAT
disabled DHCP
ethernet address: same range as extreme ip, actual ip op extreme is xxx.xxx.xxx.254, on billion xxx.xxx.xxx.253
disabled RIP
set wireless mode to 802.11b+g+n
channel id: auto
channel width:20/40mhz
disable wps
disable vmm

Unfortunately, WDS was never adopted as an official standard in the industry, so very few routers from other manufacturers are known to be compatible with Apple's WDS settings. The known devices are as follows:
Belkin F5D7230-4 and F5D7231
BT Voyager 2091 or 2100
Buffalo WGR-G54
Linksys WRT54G or WRT54GS (through version v4)
Netgear WGR614 v6
Thompson 585v6 wireless router (40 bit WEP works but stronger encryption does not)

You would not use this setting unless your service provider has furnished you with a specific range of IP addresses to use for your devices. Is that the case?
Normally, when the AirPort Extreme is functioning as the "main" router, the setting for Connection Sharing is set to "Share a public IP address"
Wireless Distribution System (WDS) - added the 3 mac addresses the utility displayed, 5ghz and 2.4ghz and also the ethernet.
You indicated that you had configured things this way on the Billion router. But, you did not indicate whether you had set the Wireless Mode for the AirPort Extreme to "Participate in a WDS Arrangement".
If you have not already done so, this might improve your chances of establishing a connection between the AirPort Extreme and Billion router for the WDS.
To access these settings on the AirPort Extreme, you would need to open AirPort Utility and click Manual Setup. Then click the Wireless tab just below the row of icons. Change the setting for Wireless Mode to "Participate in a WDS Arrangement".
Note....you may need to hold down the option key on your Mac, (or it might be alt or control if you are using a PC) to display the WDS setting.
Once you do this, then a WDS tab will now appear next to the Wireless tab. Click on the WDS tab to set up the AirPort Extreme as the WDS Main and enter the MAC address of the Billion router.
As I mentioned previously, it is extremely unlikely that the Apple and Billion devices will be compatible for WDS, but probably worth a try....since you never know when something just might work.
Even if it does....WDS operates only at "g" wireless speeds, so you will lose any of the faster "n" speed capabilities of the AirPort Extreme in this type of setting.
Please post on your results.
