Re-connecting files chooses wrong path
I had to reconnnect all my files after a complete reinstall.
And PSE organizer selected C:\Documents and Settings\<user> as root path, instead of C:\Users\<user>
Why does it do such a stupid thing, and what can i do to remap all the paths?
Search and replace? But i can not find something like that.
/Matt
The organizer has already mapped most of my files using the non-existing Documents and Settings folder.
So the damage is already done.
And I see no way to reconnnect files that has a mapping.
To cancel the mapping and browse for the folder might be useful if there's just a few files.
But for tens of thousands of files and several hundred folders ... Nope.
The organizer's missing a simple replace function. There must be lots of people that need to rearrange thier folder structure.
For example add a level with year. Change "something to "something\2012"
(Or change "documents and settings" to "user")
A "hint path" should be useful when automatically search for files.
"Start the search from MyPictures, and not from the root"

Tomcat 5 under NetBeans 3.6 read files with wrong path
The problem is quite simple:
I have XSLT file which I read in my servlet. Under Tomcat 4.1.29 (and earlier till 4.0.1) everything works fine, but Tomcat 5 under NetBeans 3.6 produces an error while he tries to read a file not from a directory
$CATALINA_HOME/webapps/..
but from a dir
$CATALINA_HOME/bin/webapps/...
anybody knows how to fix it? Why he wants to start reading from "bin" directory
P.S. Tomcat runs under WIn2000Actually, sorry, it's more complicated than that... the rules for <xsl:include> say that by default the transformer will look in the same directory as the XSLT file that's doing this include. But that only works if the transformer knows what directory that is. So if you give the transformer an InputStream containing the XSLT (e.g. by using getResourceAsStream), it has no way of knowing what directory it came from. Use the version that creates a File object for the XSLT, and wrap that in a StreamSource when passing it to the transformer. That works for me.

Teststand 3.0 Deployment looking for a file(glang.chm) in a wrong path
Hi, Please help
i just try deploy an installer using TestStand 3.0. it can successfully process the workspace file, But, when the TestStand deployment tool try to build the installer, it keep looking for one of project file(glang.chm) in a wrong path, the error message is following, see the attachment for the screen shot
Error Code:7
Could not process LabVIEW VIs. Fix any broken VIs before rebuilding. LabVIEW error:
C:\MVS 2\data\data\data\glang.chm - source does not exist
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
i understand that it is looking for glang.chm in "C:\MVS 2\data\data\data\", but in my project, glang.chm actually is under "C:\MVS 2\data\". In order to make it works, i need to create the path "C:\MVS 2\data\data\data\" and copy glang.chm into the path.
My question is: How to change the setting in TestStand deployment tool, so that it would look for glang.chm in corrected path"C:\MVS 2\data\", not in "C:\MVS 2\data\data\data\" ?

error message(screen shot).jpg 184 KBWell, David's solution works as expected. It copies the the pristine .lnk file from the startup menu to the desktop.
This .lnk file will start only the operator interface testexec.exe without loading any sequence.
Now I did try a modification. I did create a .lnk file, which loads the sequence file automagically by providing the right commandline arguments to testexec.exe. This .lnk file works on the development system either I start it from desktop or from some normal directory with the explorer.
And now I try to add that .lnk file to the deployed files like all other deployed files by adding it to some project in the workspace, which is configured to be used in the deployment wizard. That doesn't work.
If there is a 2kb "MySequence.lnk" in t
he development tree,you will also find a "MySequence.lnk" in the Image tree at the expected position. But this is 1396 kb big, which is just the size of testexec.exe ( Labwindows/CVI version) where the .lnk file did point to. And the properties (commandline) of that .lnk file became empty.
Other "normal" files in the same directory, which are also included in the deployment, are copied without any coruption into the Image tree into the same directory as the corupted .lnk file.
The installer will install the corupted .lnk file to the desired position without problems. And copying it with post.bat to the desktop is also no problem. -
File Chooser not returning full path
I have a jsp page with a file chooser on it. Whenever a file is choosen and the form is submitted, it says "file not found". I figured out this was because the file chooser is not returning the full path name of the file, just the name itself. I'm calling it with this line.
<td><input type="file" name="certFile" size="20" value="<%=certFile%>"><td/>
It's weird because this line used to return the correct file name it's preceding path in this very same file. Does anyone know how to force it to get the full path, or why this used to work and now it dosn't. Was there posibly a default change for this in java?And is your server handling this "upload" by taking the file name from the request and using a java.io.File object to open that file? That's only a viable solution if the server and the client are the same computer, a rather pointless configuration.

[Solved] Error : The file or folder path /Probl?me 1 does not exist
Hello,
I encountered this error
The file or folder <path>/Probl?me 2 does not exist
while I was trying to open a directory already extracted from a zip file containing directories with special characters. In this case, it is a "è" that was misinterpreted as a "?".
I searched the forums and on google, the solutions proposed do not work for me. Although, I have to deal with these files written in french, I would like to have my locale in english (US), with a system wide support for special characters.
Attempt 1: Adding the option : iocharset=utf8 into the fstab, like this :
fstab :
# /etc/fstab: static file system information
# <file system> <dir> <type> <options> <dump> <pass>
none /dev/pts devpts defaults 0 0
none /dev/shm tmpfs defaults 0 0
/dev/cdrom /media/cd auto ro,user,noauto,unhide 0 0
/dev/dvd /media/dvd auto ro,user,noauto,unhide 0 0
/dev/fd0 /media/fl auto user,noauto 0 0
/dev/disk/by-uuid/24ba75ac-e52d-40eb-a599-83b394b500b2 /boot ext2 defaults 0 2
/dev/disk/by-uuid/c797f409-00bc-479a-b4d6-ab49943f644b / ext4 defaults 0 1
/dev/disk/by-uuid/668427a8-5f51-42bd-a316-fc7984bf5f4f /var ext4 defaults 0 2
/dev/sda7 swap swap defaults 0 0
/dev/disk/by-uuid/417cd1b7-8f06-414b-84d5-e8714d9646ab /home ext4 defaults 0 2
/dev/disk/by-uuid/ef9aa00e-0515-4d7b-aa23-8096e787250d /usr ext4 defaults 0 2
/dev/disk/by-uuid/17d401b7-2fc7-4d9f-8e17-657d86926d2e /tmp ext4 defaults,iocharset=utf8 0 0 <<<<<<<<<<<<<<
/dev/disk/by-uuid/71e543b6-e06c-4b0e-b1e3-3b491ff1fefe /var/cache/pacman/repos ext4 defaults 0 2
#/dev/sda12 /mnt/archive ext4 defaults 0 2
#.host:/ /mnt/hgfs vmhgfs defaults 0 0
This solution does not work, because after adding iocharset=utf8, in front or after a "defaults", after a reboot, while mounting the filesystem, there is the following error message:
Mounting Locale Filesystem :
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sdb1,

LOCALE="fr_CA.utf8"
HARDWARECLOCK=""
TIMEZONE="America/Montreal"
KEYMAP="us"
CONSOLEFONT=
CONSOLEMAP=
USECOLOR="yes"
It is complicated to remove these directories. I had to use the inum to get precisely these directories before removing them.
$ ls -il
total 8
1577566 drwxr-xr-x 2 [username] [username] 4096 28 jan 07:09 Probl?me 1
1577573 drwxr-xr-x 2 [username] [username] 4096 28 jan 07:09 Probl?me 2
$ find . -inum 1577566 -exec rm -i {} \;
rm: impossible de supprimer « ./Probl\212me 1 »: est un dossier
Note that the hypothetical character 'è' is represented has a '\212', a 'È' if seen as a extended ASCII character.
These directories cannot be deleted this way :
$ rm -r Problème\ 1
rm: cannot remove `Problème 1': No such file or directory
or
$ rm -r ProblÈme\ 1
rm: cannot remove `ProblÈme 1': No such file or directory
What should I do to be make the operating system recognize those special character, and interpret them correctly ?
Last edited by ramboman (2011-01-29 21:45:50)I found a working solution, but better solution are also welcome
I had to have fr_CA not only in utf8 but also in iso88591. I had to modify the /etc/rc.conf this way :
LOCALE="fr_CA" <<<<<<<<<<<<<<
HARDWARECLOCK=""
TIMEZONE="America/Montreal"
KEYMAP="us"
CONSOLEFONT=
CONSOLEMAP=
USECOLOR="yes"
To preserve the english US language system wide, I had to add the following line in the /etc/profile :
# Allow french special character while in en_US
export LANG=en_US
The character misinterpreted by a "?" is now seen :
as a "è" in dolphin
as a "?" in the console
It is now possible to access the folders. -

Wrong path and application in registry protocol\stdFileEditing\Server ?
Hi
How come there is a wrong path in registry is it a security issue, error or just values not in use anymore ?
I check via regedit: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT the key .pdf points to
AcroExch.Document the key curver points to AcroExch.Document.7
Under this i check
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AcroExch.Document.7\protocol\StdFileEditing\server
the value is
"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 9.0\Acrobat\Acrobat.exe" (Acrobat catalog and the exe file is not existing)
but in my filesystem the real path is
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 9.0\Reader
and i think the program should be AcroRd32.exe instead
When I have corrected the key an update would reverse it to the old not existing value
So could anyone tell me why i se this behaviour ?

Hi
Sorry to post it here, but I was unable to find where We can post JavaFX Issues.
This is a minor issue, but need to be adressed.
I always set my java Console to shown, to test my applets, etc.
While testing some JavaFX, I could note that JavaFX has a wrong path, or a wrong path chaining:

File Chooser in a Panel - please help
Hello!
I am implementing a FTP program as part of an assignment. Can you please tell me how I can get a File Chooser like interface to the files on the remote computer? Can the existing JFileChooser be modified to support this and also can it be embedded in a panel rather than opening in a separate dialog box? Is there any way to get drag and drop support in it?
Please do help
Thanks
DilipHi!
Actually, you can use JFileChooser for remote filesystems. I've implemented it once using JDK 1.3.1 (accessing a remote Linux machine over RMI in an applet):
(1) Create your own subclass of java.io.File, hooking all methods that actually access the filesystem (isDirectory, getSize, ...) to your ftp-connection. (That's the main work, about 50 methods to overwrite, but you can skip many, e.g. createTemporaryFile).
(2) Make your own subclass of FileSystemView to deliver objects of your File-class instead of Sun's.
(3) Initialize JFileChooser with this FileSystemView.
You may also take a look at

SQL Dev3.0 Prod: Export/Import connection wont accept network path
Update....
SQL Developer 3.0 Production (win xp 32 bit, with JRE download):
Export/Import connection wont accept network path.
but you can map the network path to a drive and use that.
Steps:-
1. setup SQL Developer with at least one oracle database connection.
2. On menu "View > Connections" (if you dont see connection tree window)
3. right click "Connections", do Export to local drive as an *.xml file (eg c:\connections.xml)
4. again right click "Connections"
5. Click Export Connections
6. Click Browse
7. Enter network drive path for the *.xml file
example:- path name as \\MyFriendsPC\path\connections.xml
Result:- SQL Developer wont accept UNC style path
8. On windows folder open C:\
9. Copy c:\connections.xml
10. On windows folder goto \\MyFriendsPC\path\
11. paste connections.xml at \\MyFriendsPC\path\
12. On SQL Developer right click "Connections" on the connection tree box
13. do "Import Connections"
14. Click "Browse"
15. Enter UNC path \\MyFriendsPC\path\connections.xml
Result:- SQL Developer wont accept UNC style path
PS: If you manually enter the UNC path in the box before the "browse" button it works. Or if you mapped to network folder as a drive it works.So what exacly should I do?What exactly you should not do is mess around with the default cipher suite settings, unless you really know what you're doing, which isn't in evidence.

Any FM to choose the path on Presentation server while GUI_Download
Hi Friends,
Is there any FM to choose the folder path while downloading a file on to presentation server.
I am using GUI_Download with a fixed path to store but user wants to choose the path where to store.(functionality similar to what we use if we download any thing form our lotusnotes mail or downlaoding anything from net)
I fixed it to c:/ but user wants it to control, so is there any FM for this.
I need a FM like KD_GET_FILENAME_ON_F4 but while downloading.
Any inputs are highly appreciated.

JSF - Why getting wrong path Handling URLs in Facelets Templates
Hi, I am trying to do a web application using JSF, Facelets in Netbeans 6.7. but I am having a problem:
Why I am getting wrong path ?
It is very simple, straight forward web application.
When run, it shows the template-client.xhtml perfectly . The navigation menu is shows ok, but they don't work. However, if I enter in the browser address http://localhost:8080/test3/portal/products.jsf it goes perfect to the right page and the navigation between About, Products and Home works perfect. But once I click on Home, the menu start to give me errors. Looks like the path is wrong again.

I am using v. 7.1 of Mail under OS X 10.9.1. When I attempt to save an email to my Documents folder I get an error message:
Could not save to path /Users/bob/~/~/~/~/~/~/~/~/~/~/Documents/Payment submitted.rtf. Choose a different path.
Clearly Mail has a bad pathname for the Documents folder. TextEdit documents save properly to Documents. Terminal shows the path to Documents as: /Users/bob/Documents
What is going wrong with Mail?
BobAgreed. I get a completely different wrong path, but only (so far) when I try for Documents. Seems like a bug. Good catch.
