I have problem with my nokia 2700c.
The music player is very very slow.Even my friend has same phone and has got a similar problem after updating the software.
Till now no update is released.
Also after update screensaver has been removed.
So i request NOKIA to release FOTA update as soon as possible.

Yes, I've already been there, and the reply I've got was "that I should be happy that I've successfully restored the other data" and that they cannot do anything...
That's why I'd try to ask someone directly from Nokia.

Problems Contacting nokia support using complaint ...

I am in need of contacting Nokia support to make a complint about a recent repair to my Lumia 620 when only one of two items was repaired and the phone returned with a further issue. I have tried using the webform for the past 2 days and despite all fields being completed it returns me an error validating this message ensure all mandatory fields are filled in message.
This is obvioulsy frustrating as I feel that I am unable to lodge a complaint as there are no contact numbers or e-mails.
If someone can suggest the next step then I would be most grateful (my nearest Nokia Care Store is over 60 miles away)

Incredibly slow Contacts Nokia E61

I have less than 300 contacts in the E61. Opening up a contact in order to view or edit it takes as long as 58 seconds, with 20-25 seconds being the norm. I have about pictures attached to about 7 contacts, which probably accounts for some of this. The contacts each have several email or telephone numbers and a business and home address. Other than that, it's a basic address file that I've used for years on OUtlook and my Sony Ericsson P910 and Nokia 3650. Any ideas on what's causing this problem?
Otherwise the phone seems to work fine.

Without any help from NOkia I rectified my problem. (North American users of the E61 are totally orphaned by Nokia and can't get simple software questions answered.) I backed up my phone and then did a re-set to restore things to the factory default settings. Since then the contacts work normally. I don't remember the code you have to input, but that did the trick. I believe I read about it in some user forum or blog.

don't change the nameserver from 127.0.0.1 in resolv.conf.. or anywhere else..
Maemo uses dnsmasq to forward DNS requests to different servers depending on which link is active..
If you want to change your DNS server settings, USE THE GUI!! it can be found inside settings -> Internet Connections -> Connections -> edit -> next -> next -> advanced -> IP Addresses..
If you end your DNS settings, you might find your phone stops working in certain situations..
Maemo updates and repositories are provided via a content distribution network.. if it "goes down" its likely to be a regional issue and it will almost certainly fix itself within 24 hours..

Changing Ringtones on Multiple Contacts - Nokia 58...

I created a group in my contacts and selected a few contacts and placed them in the group. Then I change the group's ringtone. However this did not change the ringtones of each contact. This was not what I expected.
Could anyone explain why and how I might be able to change several contact ringtones at the same time?

If your group is not that large, try deleting the group and redoing it.
What else could be going on is that you have a contact in a group but also have it assigned a personal ringtone in the Contact details. I believe that the ringtone in the Contacts will override the ringtone in the group.
Also, check and make sure that one contact is not in several groups.

Navigating to Contacts - Nokia 6110 Navigator

In the "Search" mode of my Navigator one of the "Options" is "Contacts". When I press "OK" I can see all my Contacts. if I then go to "Options" and choose "Locate" this is what I get "No search results. Please check your search strings"
I assume the navigator should show me the way to the address of that Contact. Am I right? If so, how do I fix my search strings?

A test you could do is to find the address manually and then save the position to a Contact.
See if it uses the same fields as you do and if that works in a 'Locate'.

Hi , am really having a bad time after being a nokia customer all my life, now since n70, that was very great, came to n81, good but bad camera, but it was fast, no bugs, n95 8gb, bugs, starting with wgz, apps which go empty when u hold menu button and take up alot of ram, now am using 5800 , utterly depressed. Alot of bugs, i'll mention all of them today and also what it lacks, 1. On all nokia phones, the im app has never worked, remove it in the next firmware update,2.the pulsating touch on 5800 level 1 is higher than level 2. 3. Add some type writting sound on the kb,4. Video playback reallh sucks!!! N it has a large screen, what for?5. Music player, that one whch is from n97, when launched, on all songs, scrolling then stopping takes you to the top again, the head set controls fail atimes, you cant fast forward a song. 6. When yiu turn on the phone on landscape, the full screen kboard disapears and the rotation is disabled completely.7. The browser has alotof bugs going in and out of full screen mode.8. And why dont we have good games? Ngage? Ngage 1. Was better than ngage2, and now you give us java games, utterly slow, i know that processor can run much better games, ngage 1 was 220mhz. Tha memory full error when i am jist running one app isnt amusing at all, and the camera, make the image mode same as video mode....
