Hi edgard,
Welcome to Apple Discussions.
There are two facts that make yours an inappropriate post, both having to do with where you have posted.
You have posted in the Numbers '09 forum. This forum is for questions and discussion of issues and techniques involving Apple's spreadsheet application Numbers '09.
As your question has nothing to do with Numbers, this is an inappropriate forum in which to post it.
As you post has nothing to do with "Creating a forum," the subject of this specific discussion, it (your post) is an example of "threadjacking," a practice that is frowned up in this and other discussion sites.
Your question would be better placed in the iPhone section of discussions, specifically in the Playing music and video forum in that section. Before posting there, take a look through the recent subjects and do a search to see if the subject has already been discussed. If it has, check that discussion for an answer to your question. If not, use the Post New Topic link at the top of that forum's topic list to post your question as a NEW TOPIC.
Regards,
Barry
PS: To get email notice when there's been a reply to your post, click the Subscribe to this
Topic link at the top of the thread.
PPS: Your second post on this topic was, if you are using iTunes for Windows, posted in an appropriate location. The forum linked avobe woould be better, though, as the iPhone is where you want to make a change.

  • How do I create a Forum in Muse.

I have tried to research how to create a Forum in Muse and have not come up with anything.  Is there anyone who has done this?

Muse output static pages only and does not interact with databases to create dynamic content. You could however, take advantage of Adobe hosting through Business Catalyst (webMarketing plan and above) that supports building a forum, however, there is no native support in Muse to integrate that as of yet. You would need to have knowledge of HTML/CSS and CMS's to get this done.
If you search through this forum, you'll find quite a few threads that may be helpful to begin with.

iWeb itself doesn't offer a way to do this, but consider opening a forum at free, web-based Lefora and hyperlinking from your iWeb site to it:
    http://www.lefora.com
And as an alternative to setting up a basic text or image hyperlink to your external forum, you can link to it directly from iWeb's navigation bar:
Create a blank internal page named "Forum" (actually you can name the page whatever you want.) Then in that Forum page add an HTML Snippet with the following code:
    <script type="text/javascript">
parent.window.location = "http://www.yourforumname.com"; // change this to your own URL
    </script>
...Once published, clicking on "Forum" in iWeb's navbar will immediately redirect to your external forum page. (Thanks to Cyclosaurus for the code).

  • Consider creating a forum category on AppleCare?

Hi all (long time no speak),
Anyhoo, it's just a suggestion, but I think it might be worthwhile to consider creating a forum category -- perhaps in the same "Special Interests" forum that this category on "Feedback about Discussions" is in -- that would corral posts having to do with all things AppleCare.  It could, for discussion's sake, be called AppleCare.
Such a forum category could include, among other things, questions about how best to use AppleCare (both by mail and in person), and a whole host of the many issues that arise in connection with  the provision of inital and extended warranty technical service by both Apple and Apple-Authorized Service Providers. It could even be broader.
Over the past year or so I have had two fantastic experiences with AppleCare at the 5th Avenue Store in NYC (one just recently that inspired this post), and such a forum category would allow me to share the specifics of those experiences and, more importantly, help others to utilize this important customer-service resource in the most efficient and effective way possible.
Like I said, it's just an idea and I'm sure there are there flaws with this proposal that I've not considered, but hey, that what Discussions are for, right, vetting ideas.  So, please, by all means, feel free to discuss (amongst yourselves or in groups) and share your thoughts.
Thanks for your consideration & (a long-belated) Happy 2009 to the entire AD community.

  • How to create a forum?

Is it possible to create a forum under this kind of circumstances.

If you think that you can make sure about your code security can be done through JSP coding. Then well you could do with JSP alone..

  • How to create a forum site

    Hi everybody,
let me explain my problem: I need to create a forum site similar to this one (i.e. Java forum).
Users should have to login/logout, watch topics, post topics, and so on.
My idea was to use Linux+Apache+Tomcat+PostgreSQL but I need to start from scratch in writing all JSP code.
    So my questions:
    1) Do you thing the above technologies are enough or do I need something more complex (for example JBoss) but with many parts already provided?
    2) Could anyone please provide me a sort of template from which starting my own development, or point me to some useful links?
    Many many thanks in advance,
    Matteo Pampolini.

i created a simple forum using JSP and JSTL alone - not a scriptlet or even a bean was needed. the site uses tomcat's authentication, and there are two tables called THREADS and MESSAGES. Messages uses the thread ID as a foreign key to the threads table.
So when someone starts a new topic, a thread record and a message is created, when a user replies to an existing thread, only a message record is created.
Printing out all messages in a particular thread is a simple SELECT FROM messages m, threads t WHERE m.id = t.id

  • Creating a forum

    Hi,
I have been searching for a site with a tutorial about how
    to
create a forum through dreamweaver and php. I have only found
tutorials that use interAKT which I don't want to use. Does
    anyone
know of a tutorial that makes a forum without interAKT.
    Thanks
    Chris

I think there may be a couple of tutorials over at
    www.communitymx.com for
    different server models.
You will probably have to sign up for the subscription though
    ( I don't
believe those particular tutorials are free articles).

  • Creating a Forum Page in Dreamweaver

How do I create a Forum page in dreamweaver? I am not
familiar with designing pages that website viewers may add content
    to.

Dreamweaver has no facility for creating forums. Your best
bet is to look at one of the free forum application packages, like
phpBB for PHP or Snitz for ASP.

  • Tips to Creating a Forum - without FTP/MySQL.. please help!

I need to create a forum for my coworkers on our company website that I created a bit ago. The problem, however, is that I don't have direct access to our server - I can only access it locally from "my network connections" as a folder, and drop files into it. I'd imagine I can create a forum manually this way, then drop whatever is needed into the server folder (database, etc.?), but I have no idea where to start...
I tried simplescripts.com first, and tried to add PhPBB to my site, but it requires ftp info, which I don't have and I.T. won't give. I also can't install new software to the work comp (again, compliments of I.T.) but I do use my own laptop at work, too - so if something needs to be installed just to create the forum I can do that, but not to run the forum..
please help! Trying to work around FTP, which I don't really understand anyway, is very frustrating! Thanks in advance!!
I have 2 ideas that may work, but can anyone verify? I have another website hosted by bluehost, which uses simplescripts. Can I just create a forum for that site, and then manually transfer the files from that server to this one?
    -or-
Can I create a forum on an external site, and just link to it? That seems easiest, but not ideal..

    >The problem, however, is that I don't have direct access to our server
    Then you can't do it.
A forum requires a database to store the data, plus some form of server side scripting. To host this yourself you will need a web server, database server and application server. You can't simply copy files to a file server if that is what you are asking.
    > I'd imagine I can create a forum manually this way,
    >then drop whatever is needed into the server folder (database, etc.?), but
    No, this will not work.
    >Trying to work around FTP, which I don't really
    >understand anyway, is very frustrating! Thanks
    >in advance!!
FTP is simply a protocol that you can use to transfer files. It has nothing to do with your problem. Your problem appears to be that you do not have a web server to run your forum on.
    >Can I create a forum on an external site,
    >and just link to it? That seems easiest, but not ideal..
Unless you find a web server in house you can use, that is your only option.
