RE: Customized Express process handling '(I/O files toworkspaces)'

J-Paul,
We have the same problem., We just export the specific project files and
export them. First load them before you load the .WEX file. We had some
express experts on site and they could not give us another solution!

Hi,
I'm working with exported workspace (wex files), and didn't find a way to
include in such a file the
customized version of the Express Projects we currently use.
Is there a specific flag to set ?

  • Custom Pre Process Handler for middle name generation

    Hi,
    I am working on Custom Pre Process Event Handler for generation of middle name from the First Name by following the Meta link ID :[ID 1262803.1]. I have followed all the steps successfully as mentioned in meta link. But I am not able to trigger the middle name in OIM admin console. Following are the steps :
    1) Created a Application and project named CustomPreProcessEventHandler and copied the sample code. I have copied all the jars in our class path from OIM Platform folder e.g : iam-platform-context.jar and iam-platform-kernel.jar.
    2) Created plugin as mentioned in metalink.
    3) Copied in the plugins directory and registered successfully.
    4) Set all my paths and home as mentioned in the metalink for Java, ANT, WL_HOME, OIM_HOME.
    5) Created EventHandlers.xml and imported the file with wlst in the OIM_HOME/metadata/user/custom/CustomPreProcessHandler/EventHandlers.xml
    6) Finally ( *./PurgeCache.sh MetaData* ) to purge the cache.
    7) Created a new user in OIM Admin Console but I am not getting any middle name.
    Please guide if i am missing something. Do I need to map something Design console or any system property need to be changed.
    I have been trying this since last week without any success. Please suggest ASAP.
    Thanks

    Thanks for the Promt reply.
    I have changed the orders from 1000 to 50 in EventHandlers.xml.
    I also checked the plugins table in DEV_OIM and found three entries. In plugin table we have these enteries
    1) MyCustomUserNameGenerator
    2) CustomPreProcessEventHandler
    3) CustomPreProcessEventHandler1
    I have deleted the MyCustomUserNameGenerator, CustomPreProcessEventHandler and all its dependencies. Still its showing in Plugins table.
    My active eventhandler is now this CustomPreProcessEventHandler1. but when I trigger the event handler in log..
    executing in the server environment hence initialising ADPClassWatchDog

  • Custom Pre Process Event Handler in OIM 11g for middle initials

    Hi,
    I am trying to congiure a Custom Pre Process Event Handler for generating middle name in OIM 11g and I am following the steps as given in metalink ID: *1262803.1*
    Even after successfully performing all the steps I am not able to get the middle initials in Admin Console when I create a new user.
    1) Directory structure for the application that I have created through JDeveloper.
    CustomApplication/
    |-- CustomApplication.jws
    `-- CustomProject
    |-- CustomProject.jpr
    |-- classes
    | `-- com
    | `-- example
    | `-- custompph
    | `-- CustomPreProcessEventHandler.class
    `-- src
    `-- com
    `-- example
    `-- custompph
    `-- CustomPreProcessEventHandler.java
    2) Directory structure for Plugins directory
    My Plugin.xml :
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    <oimplugins>
    <plugins pluginpoint="oracle.iam.platform.kernel.spi.EventHandler">
    <plugin pluginclass="com.example.custompph.CustomPreProcessEventHandler"
    version="1.0" name="CustomPreProcessEventHandler" />
    </plugins>
    </oimplugins>
    plugin/
    |-- lib
    | `-- com
    | `-- example
    | `-- custompph
    | `-- CustomPreProcessEventHandler.class
    |-- middlename.zip
    `-- plugin.xml
    Copied the middlename.zip in the plugin folder in OIM_HOME and registered it successfully.
    3) Created a EventHandlers file and imported it successfully using importmetadata.
    My EventHandlers.xml:
    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>
    <eventhandlers>
    <!-- Custom preprocess event handlers -->
    <action-handler
    class="com.example.custompph.CustomPreProcessEventHandler"
    entity-type="User"
    operation="CREATE"
    name="CustomPreProcessEventHandler"
    stage="preprocess"
    order="10"
    sync="TRUE"/>
    </eventhandlers>
    I checked the logs as well but could not find something which can help me to proceed.
    Also please advise is their any mapping that I need to do in *"Design Console"*
    Please advise !!!!!
    Thanks

    My lib file contains the package as mentioned in the metalink.
    Heirarchy in Plugin folder :
    1) plugin.xml
    2) Lib ( lib contains 3 folders : com/example/custompph; And inside custompph is my CustomPreProcessEventHandler.class file)
    You mean to say i should not copy the entire package in lib but only the jar file of the CustomPreProceessEventHandler.class* file.
    If i put only a .jar file in lib i get the following error.
    "Error occured during the use of plugin registering utility. The plugin zip does not contain the definition of plugin class com.example.custompph.CustomPreProcessEventHandler"
    Thanks

  • Server 2012 R2 SMB - The process cannot access the file '\\server\share\test.txt' because it is being used by another process.

    Hi,
    We are having issues with Server 2012 R2 SMB shares.
    We try to write some changes to a file, but we first create a temporary backup in case the write fails. After the backup is created we write the changes to the file and then we get an error:
    The process cannot access the file '\\server\share\test.txt' because it is being used by another process.
    It looks like the backup process keeps the original file in use.
    The problem doesn't always occur the first time, but almost everytime after 2 or 3 changes. I have provided some code below to reproduce the problem, you can run this in a loop to reproduce.
    The problem is that once the error arises, the file remains 'in use' for a while, so you cannot retry but have to wait at least several minutes.
    I've already used Process Explorer to analyze, but there are no open file handles.
    To reproduce the problem: create two Server 2012 R2 machines and run the below code from one server accessing an SMB share on the other server.
    Below is the code I use for testing, if you reproduce the scenario, I'm sure you get the same error.
    We are not looking for an alternative way to solve this, but wonder if this is a bug that needs to be reported?
    Anybody seen this behavior before or know what's causing it?
    The code:
    string file =
    @"\\server\share\test.txt";
    if (File.Exists(file))
    File.Copy(file, file +
    ".bak", true);
    File.WriteAllText(file,
    "Testje",
    Encoding.UTF8);
    The error:
     System.IO.IOException: The process cannot access the file '\\server\share\test.txt' because it is being used by another process.

    Hi,
    There is someone else having the same issue with yours. You could try code in the article below:
    “The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process”
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/shawncao/archive/2010/06/04/the-process-cannot-access-the-file-because-it-is-being-used-by-another-process.aspx
    If you wonder the root cause of the issue, the .NET Framework Class Libraries forum can help.

  • I cant figure out what is wrong i keep getting this an OIEception that says "{"The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process."}

    I am trying to move a file from a folder to another folder.
    here is my code:
    //storage of the all files
    string[] folderContentNames = Directory.GetFiles(@"C:\Users\Jonah\Desktop\Test Pictures");
    private void historyPictureBox_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
    destinationFile = @"C:\Users\Jonah\Desktop\Test Test";
    File.Move(folderContentNames[1], destinationFile);
    updateListBoxFileName();
    updateImageBox();
    each time I hit the bolded underlined part I get that error message.
    if you need anything else just ask.
    Thanks in advance,
    Thor Orb

    Hi Thor,
    If you want to move a file from a folder to another folder, I think you could get the sourcePath and TargetPath. The code below shows a simple demo:
    string[] folders = Directory.GetFiles(@"D:\Test\VSC#\01\WindowsFormsApp\WindowsFormsApp\Test");
    string desFile =Path.Combine( @"D:\Test\VSC#\01\WindowsFormsApp\WindowsFormsApp\Test - Copy\"+Path.GetFileName(folders[1]));
    File.Move(folders[1], desFile);
    In addition, the link below might be useful to you:
    # How to: Copy, Delete, and Move Files and Folders (C# Programming Guide)
    >> The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process
    The message seemed that the file was opened in other process. Did you operate the file with other code?
    I think you could check if the files and the folders were opened, and review your codes if they were used in other places.
    If you have any further questions, please feel free to post in this forum.
    Best Regards,
    Edward

    Ya, Thanks I figured about the path and destation. yes I am using the file in another area, the file is an image jpg and I am displaying it in a picture box. Now I have been doing a little research I see a command called Dispose() and this is suppose to
    release the handle on the image, but I can seem to figure out have to use it correctly.

  • Macbook, Final Cut Express and Canon 5D video files

    Hello everyone.
    I intend to purchase my first Apple Mac soon. It will probably be the Aluminium Macbook with 4GB RAM.
    I am an avid photographer and use the Canon EOS 5D Mark II. I can handle all the processing of the still photographs without a problem but I would like to take advantage of the cameras HD video capability. I know nothing about video editing but I have read that Final Cut is about the best video editor out there. My PC struggles to even play the movies from my camera, let alone edit them.
    I have the following questions that I hope some of you can answer:
    1. Will the standard Macbook with 4GB RAM be able to handle and edit the large video files (1.2GB for a 5 minute video clip)? I would prefer not to buy the Macbook Pro if possible. The computer will only be used for video editing occasionally. I will not be making 90 minute Hollywood style productions... just 5 minute short films once in a while.
    2. Does the cheapest version of Final Cut (Final Cut Express) handle files from the Canon 5D2?
    3. I know the video from the Canon 5D2 is generally disliked because it is 30fps and is in a strange format. However, I am not able to change this and I will not be buying a dedicated video camera as I rarely shoot video. So, I need to know if the Macbook and Final Cut Express can do the business with these files. Do you have any advice on how to handle the 5D2 files?
    Any advice greatly appreciated.

    Will the standard Macbook with 4GB RAM be able to handle and edit the large video files (1.2GB for a 5 minute video clip)?
    Yes. You have a lot of hard-drive space with the Macbook Aluminum, so that shouldn't be an issue but you might consider using an external hard-drive to store your media if you ever start making longer movies. To tell you the truth, the Macbook with 2GB of RAM would probably work just as well. I recently upgraded mine and it didn't make much of a difference. Either way though, the Macbook should work fine with Final Cut, mine does. You might consider getting the one with the 2.4GHz processor, I have the feeling that will make more of a difference when editing than the extra RAM.
    Does the cheapest version of Final Cut (Final Cut Express) handle files from the Canon 5D2?
    Sort of, but it doesn't edit them natively. You can either drop the files in the timeline and render it out and it will work, or, if you don't want to render whenever you make a change, a better technique would be to first convert the clips using an application like the free [MPEG Streamclip|http://www.squared5.com> to something FCE can edit natively such as Apple Intermediate Codec. It's not as simple as drag-and-drop, but it will work.
    Do you have any advice on how to handle the 5D2 files?
    See above. I recommend the Streamclip conversion over the rendering though. If you have a lot of files to convert, Streamclip has a batch conversion setting so you can set what to convert to once and Streamclip will convert all the files. Converted files can then be edited in FCE without any particular problems.
    You should convert using these settings:
    Compression: +Apple Intermediate Codec for HD or DV-NTSC for SD+
    *Frame Size:* +(A supported FCE frame size, for example 1920x1080, 1440x1080, 720x480, etc. The supported frame size you choose should be as close to your original frame size as possible)+
    *Frame Rate:* 29.97
    Sound: +Uncompressed Stereo 48kHz+
    Keep in mind that the Macbook Aluminum lacks a Firewire port, so if that is detrimental to your use you should consider getting the white Macbook or the Macbook Pro. I believe the Canon 5D Mark II uses USB for transfer though, so it shouldn't be that much of a problem.

  • IE running under XP can't handle multiple SWF files, Why?

    I noticed that IE 8 running under Windows XP cannot handle multiple swf files in one page.
    Up to about 10 files is no problem they are loaded and we can play them ( buttons that start a small audio file).
    But more of these files in one page will stop IE.
    Firefox ( 3.6.28) runs them fine.
    And also IE 8 and/or Firefox under Windows 7 handles them perfectly.
    Has anyone any idea what can cause this and how to resolve this?
    Thanks,
    Onno Tomson

    Sorry...I still don't get it. What is it about Windows FUS that keeps iTunes from running running the process twice? It can run many other non-Apple windows apps in multiple user sessions (commercial apps, open source apps, audio/video apps, networked apps). I can even run two different virtual machines at the same time under two different user sessions.
    Why can iTunesHelper.exe run twice but iTunes.exe cannot? Why can I run Safari at the same time? Quicktime Player runs fine under multiple user sessions.
    Blaming it on Windows and/or FUS sounds like FUD. Can anyone give a valid technical reason? Semaphores? Mutexes? An admission (and explanation) that the Windows version is purposely crippled?

  • Custom Data Processing Extension, use in SSRS Report Properties - References

    I've built a Custom Data Processing Extension (CDPE) and registered it
    successfully (ie. it shows up in the new datasources dialog/drop-down and saves just fine, for VS2010-2014). It is intended to be a custom (XML-based) DataSource. However, based on the "nature of the beast", I also need to have a Custom Query
    Designer (CQD) for development  testing of the CDPE.
    Here are the errors I get for the CQD:
    Pulling a report up in "Report Preview", which is wired to the CDPE->CQD, I get:
    "An error occurred during local report processing. The definition of the report '/TestDS' is invalid. Error while loading code module: 'Microsoft.ReportingServices.Interfaces, Version=11.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=89845dcd8080cc91'. Details:
    Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.ReportingServices.Interfaces, Version=11.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken 89845dcd8080cc91' or one of it's dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception
    from HREULT: 0x80131040)"
    My CDPE directly includes Microsoft.ReportingServices.Interfaces.dll AND matches everything as far as version and key. It also includes Microsoft.ReportingServices.QueryDesigners.dll required for the CQD.
    I've written other WORKING CDPEs but not one with a CQD (Query Designer Custom replacement in Visual Studio). All the references from what I can tell are OK. I think CQDs are screwed up for XML datasources. The interfaces are not right.
    (will explain further on)
    From the "Data Sources", Dataset Properties, I click on the "Query Designer", I get:
    "An error occurred while loading the query designer 'DATASET' (which is the name of the CDPE). Query Designer: Object reference not set to an instance of an object."
    I "think" XML type CDPEs are trying to execute a web services call, versus working properly/CORRECTLY with a
    text-based query for XML. The reason I say this is that I've created both WinForm and WebForm test harnesses. They both come up with this error: "...Failed to prepare web request for the specified URL. (rsXmlDataProviderError), Invalid
    URI: The URI is empty." (which is nonsense, there is no request, the query is simply text/file-based stuff, and I read locally ALL of the XML data expected for testing without issue -> I'm ONLY making the CDPE XML-based because I have custom
    WCF calls which already work). (If you really want to understand overall architecture, please see my post: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/d15d9206-95d7-473a-a7f9-a38b4279de8c/ssrs-extension-which-to-use?forum=sqlreportingservices&prof=required
    Other than "100 mile" overviews from Microsoft, this has got to be some of the worst documented stuff I've ever seen (
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/microsoft.reportingservices.interfaces.iquerydesigner.aspx ). Remote Debugging it doesn't work 95% of the time.
    My environment is VS2013 Ultimate with BI and SQL Server 2012 SP1.
    Thanks Rob
    Rob K

    Update:
    I can now see the Custom Query Designer and get anticipated results (after some fooling around with different combinations).
    Here's how things were broken by the MS SQL Server 2012 product/release team:
    1. they upgraded to .Net v4.x here (to support SharePoint, AX, MS Data Tools, etc.)
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\110\Tools\Binn\ManagementStudio\Microsoft.ReportingServices.QueryDesigners.dll
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\110\Tools\Binn\ManagementStudio\Microsoft.ReportingServices.Interfaces.dll
    2. they left c:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS.11.MSSQLSERVER\Reporting Services\ReportServer\bin\Microsoft.ReportingServices.Interfaces.dll at .Net
    v2.x
    3. they don't support Custom Extensions (which use a Query Designer) with anything higher  than .Net v3.5
    In my case, I had to segregate:
    a. Report Definition Custom Extension to v4.5
    b. Custom Data Processing Extension to v3.5
    c. Custom Query Designer to v4.x
    d. my WCF/SSO to v4.5.1.
    #2 and #3 above, in my humble opinion are simply dead wrong as far as what you ever want to do in the release cycle (I can see there being an early/first release exception(s), but 2 years out and a successor product (2014) should have meant that this
    was rectified more than a year ago.)
    Whomever failed to get this communicated in the 2012 documentation created even more havoc than an average developer can decipher:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/microsoft.reportingservices.interfaces.iquerydesigner(v=sql.110).aspx
    (I'm still working on how to get the remote debugger working consistently.)

    Hi,
    I have run into the same problem with SOA 11.1.1.5 version. In my case after fixing the following two errors it seems to work fine.
    If you have followed the guide, there must be some errors:
    First the java code if copied then contains an extra enter value:
    Instead of:
    "try {
    System.out.println("Prototype for invoking an OIM API from a SOA Composite");
    System.out.println("RTM Usecase: Self Registration Approval by Organization
    Administrator");"
    Use the following:
    "try {
    System.out.println("Prototype for invoking an OIM API from a SOA Composite");
    System.out.println("RTM Usecase: Self Registration Approval by Organization Administrator");"
    The other error is that you should not use <BEAHOME>/oracle_common/modules/oracle.jps_11.1.1/jps-manifest.jar, but the <BEAHOME>/oracle_common/modules/oracle.jps_11.1.1/jps-api.jar in jdeveloper. After these the deployment to the application server works fine for me.

  • Calling a Stored Procedure using SSRS Custom Data Processing Extension

    I need SSRS Custom Data Processing Extension to call a stored procedure for my ssrs report. I refered many links regarding this, but i cannot find it. Instead of that there are examples for Data processing extensions that uses XML files and also multiple
    data sources.
    I want Data Processing Extension to call a stored procedure.
    Please Help. Thanks in advance

    Sorry why do you need a Data Processing Extension for that? Cant you directly call the procedure
    from SSRS dataset? Whats the RDBMS which holds this procedure?

    Caused By: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-12899: value too large for column "DEV_OIM"."REQUEST_APPROVALS"."APPROVAL_STATUS" (actual: 442, maximum: 32)
    you are inserting a value too large for REQUEST_APPROVALS.APPROVAL_STATUS column. It should contain values like COMPLETED, approved, rejected etc... Check your custom approval process again.

  • Duplicate File Handling Issues - Sender File Adapter - SAP PO 7.31 - Single Stack

    Hi All,
    We have a requirement to avoid processing of duplicate files. Our system is PI 7.31 Enh. Pack 1 SP 23. I tried using the 'Duplicate File Handling' feature in Sender File Adapter but things are not working out as expected. I processed same file again and again and PO is creating successful messages everytime rather than generating alerts/warnings or deactivating the channel.
    I went through the link  Michal's PI tips: Duplicate handling in file adapter - 7.31  . I have maintained similar setting but unable to get the functionality achieved. Is there anything I am missing or any setting that is required apart from the Duplicate file handling check box and a threshold count??
    Any help will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Abhishek

    Hello Sarvjeet,
    I'd to write a UDF in message mapping to identify duplicate files and throw an exception. In my case, I had to compare with the file load directory (source directory) with the archive directory to identify whether the new file is a duplicate or not. I'm not sure if this is the same case with you. See if below helps: (I used parameterized mapping to input the file locations in integration directory rather than hard-coding it in the mapping)
    AbstractTrace trace;
        trace = container.getTrace();
        double archiveFileSize = 0;
        double newFileSizeDouble = Double.parseDouble(newFileSize);
        String archiveFile = "";
        String archiveFileTrimmed = "";
        int var2 = 0;
        File directory = new File(directoryName);
        File[] fList = directory.listFiles();
        Arrays.sort(fList, Collections.reverseOrder());
        // Traversing through all the files
        for (File file : fList){
            // If the directory element is a file
            if (file.isFile()){
                            trace.addInfo("Filename: " + file.getName()+ ":: Archive File Time: "+ Long.toString(file.lastModified()));
                            archiveFile = file.getName();
                          archiveFileTrimmed = archiveFile.substring(20);
                          archiveFileSize = file.length();
                            if (archiveFileTrimmed.equals(newFile) && archiveFileSize == newFileSizeDouble ) {
                                    var2 = var2 + 1;
                                    trace.addInfo("Duplicate File Found."+newFile);
                                    if (var2 == 2) {
                                            break;
                            else {
                                    continue;
        if (var2 == 2) {
            var2 = 0;
            throw new StreamTransformationException("Duplicate File Found. Processing for the current file is stopped. File: "+newFile+", File Size: "+newFileSize);
    return Integer.toString(var2);

  • How to process a bunch of files

    I am attempting to write a program that will take a list of files to process & process them each in turn. At the moment I have 2 Files declared:
    File inputFile=new File("default.asc");
    File outputFile=new File("default.txt");
    The idea is that the user gives the list of file names, and inputFile is given each file name in turn and sends it off to be processed. When file1.asc is complete, inputFile gets file2.asc, etc.
    My questions are:
    1) is this a reasonably appropriate way to handle processing a number of files?
    2) if so, how do I CHANGE the file name to which inputFile refers? This seems like it should be straightforward, but none of the File commands seem to do it.

    Why not just create a new File object for each file as you open it?
