RE: Different GRC Suites available

Hi all,
I am new to GRC and want to know what are the different types of GRC suites available in the market that companies buy from SAP.
I mean i heard about  Business Objects GRC and Access Controller GRC , what is the difference between both these suites?
thanks in advance.
Sree

Sree,
GRC is a functional area or a department under SAP Business Objects which develops products related to Governance, Risk and Compliance. GRC has different products like Access Control (AC), Process Control (PC), Risk Management(RM) and Global Trade Services (GTS).
As far as I know, AC (Access Control) is referred to as a suite as it is made of four different modules called Risk analysis and remediation (RAR), Compliant User provisioning (CUP), Superuser privilege management (SPM) and Enterprise Role Management (ERM).
For more information, you can look at the following link or contact you SAP AE.

  • I have purchased the last Creative Suite available on disk. It will load on my old Mac Book Pro.  I just bought a new Mac Book Pro and just realized there is no place to put a disk.  Is there any way to load the programs to my new computer?

Buy an external optical drive such as the Apple USB SuperDrive that is made specifically for that model.
Use the optical drive of your old MBP to clone the DVDs to USB flash drives, then install from the flash drives.
Connect both computers to your local network and then share the optical drive to install the software.

  • Archive and Purge provisions in GRC suite

    Hi,
I'm trying to understand the Archive and Purge options provided / offered by GRC suite but have very skeletal information. Can somebody help me on that front?
    Balaji K

In a nutshell, purging is removal of data from a system or storage device with the intent that the data can not be reconstructed by any known technique. In GRC Suite purging has similar concept to purge incident stored after a long period of tie and storage (AACG). You can also purge snapshop or change tracking definitions in CCG. General rule of thumb, ensure you follow your company policies with regards to data archive and purging and access to these functionalities within the GRC Control Suite should be restricted.

  • Different GRC Versions work in sap system

    Hi  All,
Is it possible different Versions of GRC works in SAP SAP System.
Means VIRSA CC 4.0 and FF 5.2 works in same System.
But the GRC PATCHES Showing only GRC  5.2 Sp13 patche But not VIRSA CC 4.0 Patches.

    Hi
I think you can not have two versions of GRC in the same back end system system.
whenever you have new system it upgrades the older version to new versions

  • Is Adobe CS5 "..." Suite available...?

Right i been wondering for a while now, say i bought a copy of Adobe CS5 Design Suite for a Macintosh platform, but i own both a Macintosh and PC could i use the same copy of Adobe CS5 Design Suite disc and install it on a PC and/or use the same product key on a PC downloaded version from the Adobe site?
I don't understand why, Adobe can't just make one disc so that is can be used on both PC/ MAC platforms, the disc size is available and so is the software to install the same program for both platforms?

what's not to understand? if they did that they couldn't charge you 2 times.
as it is you can load the win version under emulation on the mac as the eula allows you 2 installs as long as they're not running at the same time.

  • New version of Ovi Suite Available

A new version of Ovi Suite 2 beta has been released today.  It's available from betalabs.nokia.com or through the update check in the current beta.

  • SPM (FF) w/o GRC-Suite ?

Is there a possibility to use SPM-functionallity w/o using the JAVA-Part of GRC?
Within Note 1000403 the installation on ABAP-stack is described. I rember, the VIRSA-tool was ABAP-based. Start of the FF-functionality is done on the ABAP-stack /n/virsa/.
However, it is not clear (for me) if there is a possibility to use FF w/o Java-stack.

    Thomsa,
Firefighter is core ABAP based product. When you install VIRSANH & VIRSAHR, this product is installed on you system along with CC 4.0.
SPM java based has nothing to do with core functionality of FF, i.e. for supper user management.
The java part only contain reports (with data pulled from ABAP stack).
Same reports are available in ABAP also.
so all you need to do is install what they call RTA (real time agent), these are nothing but add on component VIRSANH.
    hope this help

  • IWork & iLife Suites Available for Free on Devices Made or Purchased After Sept.1?

I have heard that the iLife and iWork suites are available for free purchase on certain devices. I know as well that you either have to purchase the device after September 1 or purchase a device made after September 1. But I do not know which. I am purchasing the first generation iPad Mini soon and I know it was not made after September 1, but it will be purchased by then. Any advice?
    ~Freddy

The key is a supported iOS device activated for the first time after September 1. That iPad mini would qualify if it has never been activated before. If you're purchasing a used one it probably won't work.
I had my iPhone 4S replaced by the Genius Bar in September & the apps were available to me. Of course, I had already purchased the ones I use, but I did get Keynote, iMovie & GarageBand for free.

  • ITunes and my iPhone show two different amounts for available space

I have been unable to syncronize my iPhone 5 for a while now.  I've tried unchecking the box to "Sync Music" which warned me it would remove music from my phone and then re-checking to re-add music back to my phone.  This has worked in the past when my phone has had issues synchronizing.  Now I appear to be totally stuck though.
The issue I've run in to is that iTunes says that I have 4177 songs (24.80 GB) on my iPhone (see below).
My iPhone under storage settings says I have 6.5GB (see below).
When I try to sync, I get the error message that says I don't have enough free space.  I've tried clearing out apps, etc to give me more free space but what I'm finding again and again is that the issue is what iTunes thinks I have as free space is different than what my iPhone thinks.
For instance right now my iPhone shows 20.1 GB available but when I try to synchronize, iTunes says I need an additional 244.6 MB of free space.  I clearly have way more than that according to my iPhone but can't seem to figure anything out.
If it's helpful, I'm in iOS version 8.2 and iTunes version 12.1.1.4 running on Windows 7 Professional SP1

You may notice a difference in available space statistics between Disk Utility, Finder, and Get Info inspectors. This is expected and can be safely ignored. The Finder displays the available space on the disk without accounting for the local snapshots, because local snapshots will surrender their disk space if needed.

  • Accessing RMS of a different Midlet Suite

    Hi,
I read the following in a document released from Nokia on MIDP 2.0.
"MIDlets are allowed to create multiple record stores, as long as they have different names, and MIDlets
can access record stores relating to other MIDlets within the same suite. Also, if explicit permission is
given, MIDlets within other suites can also access the record store (a new feature in MIDP 2.0)."
I would like to access an RMS in another MIDlet suite from my midlet. Does anybody know how I would do this or where I could find more information on this?? Also what does it mean when it says "explicit permission".
My motivation behind this question is that I would like to maintain the data on my application even if a new version of the application is released. I take it that is I release a new version of my application that I would have to install a new midlet suite and that this would overwrite the existing RMS in the MIDlet suite. Therefore by having my RMS in a seperate MIDlet suite I can maintain my data. Is all of this correct?? Would this be the best way to approach this problem??
    Thanks,
    Brian

    Hi,
Thanks for both of your replies!! i have tested this and found it to be sucessful making my task a lot easier. :-)
Anyhow my other question regarding this is - on phones that ask you if you want the user data to persist.. is it possible to ensure that the user data is always saved.. thus removing this prompt or is this prompt standard on the device and cannot be changed.
    Thanks,
    Brian

  • Different task sequences available on different machines??

    Hi there,
hopefully someone has seen this before as i'm a bit confused here. I've got MDT 2013 installed and have been happily deploying to all manner of machines for months now.
But today i've noticed that different task sequences are appearing for different machines. Eg, i have a DELL Latitude E7240 that shows the task sequences as expected, however when i run the same lite touch vbs script on an Optiplex All In One (that has been
imaged off the network before), i get a completely different set of task sequences available.. when i try to select one of these, i get a message 'Bad task sequence item (missing OS)'.
This is definitely connecting to the same deployment share and they are the same PE version (64 bit). The task sequences i want to see are checked as enabled and not hidden etc..
I just don't know where to check from here, any ideas for me please??
    Adam

    Hi Keith,
thanks for the response, but the process doesn't get to writing logs - the bdd.log file just shows that the deployment was cancelled.
I'm trying to understand why on one machine a specific set of task sequences is available, but not on another?
I can run the deployment on my E7240 and the task sequence doesn't throw the 'missing OS' message, but on another machine the task sequences are a little different but when i try to run the one that does work on the E7240 (as it appears in the list on the
other machine) i DO get the 'missing OS' error.
    weird.. ??
    still very stumped...

  • Why do About This Mac and Finder give different values of available space on my MacBook Pro?

About This Mac is reporting over 150 GB of disk space usage for backups on my MacBook Pro (2 GHz Intel Core i7, mid 2011) (About This Mac|More Info|Storage).  Disk Utility shows the same usage as About This Mac.
When I check the available disk space in Finder, it reports approx 150GB more available (i.e. does not seem to see the backups).
I have never used the MacBook for backup - I back up to a Time Capsule.
I bought the MacBook second-hand - I have deleted the old users from Users & Groups. Is it possible that there is a hidden backup lurking on the disk? If so, how can I access it and delete it?
Is it possible that there is a bug in the Mountain Lion About This Mac storage reporting (but if so, why does the usage reported by Disk Utility agree with Abouth This Mac, but not with Finder?)
I really don't want to have to format my disk and restore from Time Machine. I'm not sure that the Time Machine backup does not include the 150GB of "hidden" files...
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Craig

It is local snapshots that Time Machine makes. Even when not connected to TM disk, TM creates local snapshots on your HD. Finder does not consider local snapshots essential and will use the space if necessary.

  • Different port numbers available in xi

    Hi
while I was going through the forum I have come across  different port numbers like j2ee port, http port, smpt etc. Could you please summarize what are all the different ports that xi has to communicate and how to find that prot numbers. I mean different transactions to see the same.
    thanks

    Hi,
The following instances will be created as per the type of installation.
    Abap+java system =
    /usr/sap/<SID>/DVEBMGS<<b>NR</b>>
    /usr/sap/<SID>/SCS<<b>NR1</b>>
    Stand alone java system =
    /usr/sap/<SID>/JC<<b>NR</b>>
    /usr/sap/<SID>/SCS<<b>NR1</b>>
All the port numbers are determined by the NR and not by NR1.
You will have JC<NR> when you have a standalone Java system installed and DVEBMGS<NR> when you have a ABAP+JAVA system installed. Both of these will not exist together for a particular Installation.
And you will have SCS instance in both the cases i.e if you have Java Addin( ABAP+JAVA) or a Standalone Java System.
    Thanks,
    Tanuj
