Please be aware that you are not communicating with Apple when you post in these forums. The people who will reply to your posts are, like me, in almost all cases your fellow users. If checking your Purchase History in your iTunes Store account (you'll need to use iTunes on a computer) doesn't remind you of something you purchased in that amount, such as an in-app purchase, go here:

I can see in your account that you have an active calling subscription. Please note that subscriptions renew automatically, as stated in our Terms of Use. You will be charged for it's renewal depending on the period you selected. Please refer to the private message I sent to you for further details.
To check your private message, just go to Skype Community home page (community.skype.com), scroll at the bottom of the page. You will see "Private Message" just above "Users Online."
Due to the time it can take for some transactions to be processed, we charge you three days in advance to ensure prompt delivery of your subscription. You do not lose these three days: your subscription is still valid for the full period that you sign up for.

Yes, this is a rant.
Yes, I hold little hope of receiving a meaningful response.
These being said, I hope that if more people point out the absurdity of charging for a feature currently freely available from a major competitor (one would hope Goggle shows as such on Skype's radar?), who knows, Somebody at Microsoft/Skype will slap they forehead at the sudden realization that they are losing market share that will be very hard (if not impossible) to regain.
I can already hear the arguments against making this (and other features, such as US/Canada calls) free going on incessantly about lost revenue and the next quarter results - I've used to work for a behemoth and that's how they die: never considering loss of customer good will, bad reputation and the resulting inevitable mass migration to competitor's solution in response to the company's obvious ineptitude. It never seems to dawn on them that losing some revenue now means living to fight another day.
Oh well, the battle between the giants was interesting to watch - until I've realized that one of the giants is blind.
Oh, and BTW:
I had to write this message a second time - IE11 crashed when I tried to preview the first iteration. Microsoft FTW! (yes, that was sarcastic - I am now making a copy of the entire post before submitting, just in case)
Also, your spellchecker flags Skype as an error - I guess the spellchecker is on to something.

You'd have to ask your network provider if there is any charge for receiving text messages. I know in the US some networks used to charge (I don't know if they do anymore), but in Europe you don't get charged to receive SMS.

I tend to have my system set on speakers but i use a headset while on skype. if i get a message on skype I only get the little ping sound through my headset and not my speakers, thus allowing me to miss messages for minutes after recieving them (sometimes have something infront of the monitor so i cant see skype light up).

That option does not exist. I believe what you are looking for is ring on all devices which is no longer an option in the Skype software for whatever reason. You can attempt to recreate that using 3rd party software.

Does it charge money for every single app or does it charge all of my expenses at the end of the month? Because I'm afraid i will pay way too much when the transaction tax will be included. (I live in Lithuania (Europe) and we don't have the music store here. So I decided to register as a US resident. Won't the bank add big additional taxes? It is a violation of the terms of use of the itunes store to use an itunes store from a country other than your own.
You can ONLY buy from the itunes store of your country of residence ( proven by the billing address on your credit card) AND ONLY while inside the borders of that country.

Normally the credit is used up first before the system falls back to a credit card to cover a balanced not covered completely by the credit on the account.

Satellite P300 does not charge

Hello there.
I have Toshiba Satellite P300. It's nearly 4 years old.
However, 3 months ago it has started not to charge battery. I removed battery and left computer only with adaptor.
Now it does not charge at one, i have to wait until electricity or smth will reach some level to start computer.
So, please, help if anybody has had some alike problem or knows the reason and what to do.
Maybe its adaptor problem, or something wrong with connection between adaptor and pc. I don't know and have no money yet to check it.
Does anybody know what's wrong? Thanks.

Such issues can be related to different reasons;
- AC adaptor issue
- Motherboard issue (Im thinking especially about power supply electronic issue)
But I dont think it could be an AC adaptor malfunction because the notebook can power up after a specific power level has been reached or the notebook can boot up after a longer time being connected to AC adaptor. Is it right?
Well, it sounds like an mobo issue but this is just an suggestion

Have you ever faced such situation like mine.
I have subscription for 400 minutes a month, paid by Skype Credit. Skype takes money every month though dates when it is activated always shifting further and further. For example this month they took money 10 Euros on December 2nd but said it will be activated on December 5th.
OK then, I thought today is 5th and made a call, and was charged for this call. I went to my account to see subscription is not activated, it still shows 0 minutes from last month.
After a big search on skype site I sent a letter to support only to receive outrageous lie that I already have used all my 400 minutes in the month of December. When in fact skype even didn;t activate December subscription yet,
What should I do?

Skypes indeed takes payment for subscription renewals 3 days in advance, prior to the actual date when the subscription will renew. afaik, your minutes will reset at 1:00 GMT.

I conctact with paypal and with skype , but what is so stupid is that , i see that many people are experiencing this in the forum , HOW COMES a very well known company cannot do nothing about that !!!!!

Charging money during ringing

Hi,
I have annoying problem it happens frequently. When I call Libya and during ringing sometimes it start charge money even I did not get answer from other side. In some cases the line seems on-hook but no voice from other part and charge me. when I get other part in other tries, they tell me they did not get call to answer so definitly they did not receive the call to on-hook on mt call.
please I need solution I start to lost alot of money so I force to report it...I am happy with skype services I do not want to change to google or others, so I am looking for customer support to solve this to me...

I think users are indeed charge once the call is connected (usually indicated when it starts ringing), whether the other party actually answered the call or not.
