Re: Download JDeveloper 10.1.2.2.0 (BUILD1929) No jdbc driver for 1.4

This is the most up to date build for this version which runs with JDK 1.4
but it does not have the ojdbc14 and ojdbc14dms jar files. I added them to the
<jdev_home>/jdbc/lib directory. I cannot seem to change the Libraries classpath
so that the IDE can see these files. When I go to tools>Manage Libraries and pick the Systems Libraries> Oracle JDBC I can only View the classpath. Where can I change the classpath so that JDev will include it in this View?

I tried that but the choice would not stick. When I set it to 1.4 it changed back to default. I looked in the JDev 10.1.3 directories and they don't have the 1.4 jre. I just added the drives as a new user library and that was successful. I was getting a java.lang.NullPointerException from my servlet. I thought it was the jdbc driver but thats not the problem. My connection object is undefined or null when I send a bad password parameter into the database. I debugged it and I know it is throwing a SQLException which I am catching the problem is that because of the state of the object myservlet is frozen and the only thing I could do was exit. I would like to put up a page before I exit but the situation is not allowing me to do so. Do you know a way to do this?

  • Where can I download a JDBC driver for MAXDB

    Hi,
I want to update my jdbc driver to access maxdb because I am using a version created four years ago but the database is the most updated. I have visited the maxdb web site, but I did not found any jdbc driver.
    Thanks in advance.

Some years ago we changed the default cursor behavior of our driver from TYPE_SCROLL_SENSITIVE  to TYPE_FORWARD_ONLY. The reasons to change it were a better performance when fetching resultsets and also the conformance to the JDBC specification.
So the default cursor behavior of our JDBC driver is now TYPE_FORWARD_ONLY. You can change the cursor behavior when you create a statement.
    java.sql.Statement ; stmt = connection.createStatement(
                    ResultSet.TYPE_SCROLL_SENSITIVE, ResultSet.CONCUR_READ_ONLY);
Also some newer JDBC drivers have a connect option
    defaultresultsettype=[TYPE_FORWARD_ONLY|TYPE_SCROLL_INSENSITIVE|TYPE_SCROLL_SENSITIVE]

  • Upgrade jdbc driver in jdeveloper

    Hi,
We have build an application in jdev 10.1.3.3.0 which connects to a database 10.2.0.3.0.
We have been experiencing performance issues during the execution of some of our queries.
When executing this query outside jdeveloper (sqldeveloper, sqlnavigator), performance is ok, and explain plan is as expected.
When exactly the same query is executed from within Jdeveloper, (application and SQL worksheet) the explain plan gets messed up and performance is bad.
We suspect this has to do with the version of the JDBC Client.
As in the past we experienced similar behaviour when running queries from older Oracle clients (fi. 10g rel 1).
Can someone indicate on how we can check and upgrade the version of the JDBC driver Jdeveloper is using.
    thanks,
    Gert

You can upgrade your JDBC driver by doing the next steps:
    1. Download JDBC driver from
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/tech/java/sqlj_jdbc/index.html
    2. Browse to <JDeveloper_home>\jdbc\lib
    3. Replace the existing files with the new files you have downloaded (you might need to make a backup first)
    4. Now, you have successfully upgraded your JDBC driver.

Actually, I encountered this problem. Just be patient to wait around five to ten minutes. You should be able to re-down it. I think the problem is caused by the number of connection limitations for the download server.

  • Problem downloading JDeveloper 10g production!

    Hi!
It seems to me I can't download Oracle JDeveloper 10g production. When I click on a download link on the main JDeveloper page on otn.oracle.com, I'm redirected to a questionnaire with a download button at the bottom of the page. But when I click that button I get 'the page cannot be displayed' error.
It seems that I'm being redirected to some http://www-portal.oracle.com:7779/.... server, but it doesn't respond.
Is there alternate download link that is working?
    Thanks in advance,
    Alexey.

Sorry for that, it should work now from the JDeveloper home page.

  • Can't download JDeveloper 10.1.3.2

    Hi,
For a few days I try to download JDeveloper (Windows).
But any download connection gets disconnected from the server before it's complete and I end up with a corrupted zip file.
Is there no options on Oracles website to resume an interrupted download?
    No FTP download possible?
    No P2P download made available?
If I continue to try this download, I guess I never will be able to try JDeveloper
    Does anyone any help?
    Appreciate all of your feedback

BTW. downloads form other sites working well.

I'm also experiencing the same problem. I experienced numerous problems with the Oracle Application Server, which I willing to bet it's the culprit.
