If you bought this music from iTunes you can download it again from within your Purchases in the iTunes App.
Otherwise, razmee is right. you can only sync to one itunes library. If you sync to another one whatever does not exist on the new library will get removed from the phone.
That's is by design to avoid Piracy. As otherwise you could simply transfer purchases to other users.

Can I download music again that I purchased earlier? My computer crashed, and I have a handful of purchased songs that hadn't been backed up yet.

If the above doesn't work, or if it isn't what you're looking for -
Once you log into your iTunes account, on the left, under 'STORE' should be a section called 'purchased'. If you click on that, a list of all your previous purchases appears. Under the list, in the bottom right, should be an option to 'Download Previous Purchases'.
This takes you to a link in the iTunes store, where you can navigate to various individual purchases and download them (Like you would a new song from the store, just minus the charge as you've already paid for them) or alternatively, there should be a button in the top right so you can download 'All' or those that are 'Not in my library'

If you have it in the Applications folder, trash it before attempting a new download.

Can't download music, can't check purchases

For some reason this morning I am unable to download music, or check purchases, and i get the following error
"We Could not Complete Your ITUNES Store Request. The Requested Resource was not found. There was an error in the ITUNES store please try again later."
I have looked several posts but none of the resolutions given solved my problem, and none of my settings have changed, I downloaded music yesterday. Please help!

Just do as it suggests and try again later. The iTunes Store may be experiencing some server issues or something.

On PC, if you have Ovi/Nokia Player:
-sign in and click on Account on the upper part of the player and select download history.
-click on purchased downloads and look for the songs and click re-download.
If you don't have ovi player:
-go to www.music.ovi.com
-if you will ask to select country, please select it.
-then if you are on the homepage already, on the upper left corner you have the sign in button.
-sign in, click explore store and click on account.
-on the left side of the screen, please click download history. Then select purchased downloads again.
-look for the songs and click re-download button. It will ask you where you want to save it. Then you can just transfer it to your phone if you want.
Using your phone:
-go to ovi music icon on the phone. Select country and click ovi music button. If asked to sign please do.
-on the lower part of the screen you'll have 3 icons. The home icon, my account icon and the search icon. Please click the middle icon which is my account. Then if you are sign in already you can also see there download history, please click on that (If not yet sign in, please sign in first). Then select purchased downloads and re-download those songs again.

Error message when downloading music after purchase

I've never had a problem downloading songs from itunes before. I just purchased 3 songs and now, it gives me an error message saying that there is an error and the files are corrupted. When I try to "check for purchases", they are there, but will not download. Can anyone help me with this? Please email me directly since I'm a dummy when it comes to figuring out these forums. Presuming you're using the latest version of iTunes, I'd suggest that you contact the iTunes Store customer support department through the form at the bottom of their web page and explain the problem to them. They may need to reset the download, or there may be a problem with the tracks themselves.
If you want to be emailed with replies to your questions when you start a topic, click on My Settings on the right of any of these pages, and click "yes" to "always subscribe to topics I create". Then any replies will automatically be emailed to you.

If you didn't make a back-up of your purchases to restore from (as you are advised to do) then I'm sorry to say that the policy on lost purchases is that you have to pay to download them again:
"Once a Product is purchased and you receive the Product, it is your responsibility not to lose, destroy, or damage the Product, and Apple shall be without liability to you in the event of any loss, destruction, or damage." iTunes Store: Purchased content can be downloaded only once
You could try contacting the iTunes Music Store Customer Service and you might be able to persuade them to sanction a second free download. There have been occasional reports in the iTunes forum of this happening, however just be aware that they are not under any obligation to do so. Just wondering what happens if you stop using iTunes Match, but have songs in the library that aren't currently downloaded to any device. Do you still get access to them? Is there a deadline or download limit for retrieving the song at that point?

think i found answer - looks like deadline would be end of your paid subscription's year, (I'm assuming even if you turn off auto-renew well in advance), and then beyond that anniversary date you'd not have any access.

Yesterday was attempting to download music.my daughter used her itunes account and added the $30 i had purchased. since she had not used the account ina while she forgot the security ? and it locked us out for what the rep said would be 8 hours..
