Re-downloading App wants to buy again.

When I've already bought an app and then when I want to redownload it, I click on the Buy button but it gives me a warning that my account will be debited, it doesn't give me a message that I've already bought it and it will download for free. At first I thought it might be because I messed around with the actual app files in the finder, but I just bought an app now and when I go to it again and click Buy it wants to buy it again. I haven't clicked yes so I don't know if it will actually charge me or not.
Strange thing is, if the application is free, it recognizes that I've downloaded it before and it says that it will download it for free because I have it.
This all is on iTunes on my Mac, not in the App Store application on the phone.

This happened to me, too. I ended up recovering the deleted app file from the Trash and then tried to "buy" the app again and it downloaded fine.
But based on the current problems I'm having with multiple copies of the apps it looks like the new download may not have overwritten the old one, even though it never asked me to pay again.

to the right by search library theres an arrow there click on it : it will show you what it is downloading , from there you can pause and select all and delete them but still will continue to download them if you tell itunes to check for downloads. that download engien is crazy i tell yeah.
no matter what we do it will still download them trust me i tryed everything and i also went to icloud to see if it was there but to what i see is that there is no apps there this is some crazy itune program that needs to remade.

Did some searches, but did not come up with anything regarding your specific issue (the original one, the grey 'waiting' problem is quite common). If no other ofrum users chime in, it is indeed time to contact Apple / iTunes Store support.
If you have not yet one so, Try to Reset your device. Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears (ignore the Slide to Power Off that shows up first).
You could also try to re-download one or two apps, just to see if anything changes. Log in to the iTunes Store, go to the Purchases section and download from the list of past purchases or free apps.

DD got new laptop(Windows 8). I would like for her to have her own iTunes account. However she has been syncing her iPod to my account for 2years and has an abundance of music/movies that we don't want to buy again. Any way to share them to her new PC?

My daughter got a new laptop for Christmas (windows 8). I would like to set up her own iTunes account on her laptop. Our dilema is she has been syncing her iPod to my account for 2 years now, therefore, she has an abundance of music (purchased through iTunes store) and movies (downloaded via digital download from DVD/BluRay purchases) that we don't want to have to purchase all over again. Is there any way to share some/all of my account with her so she can sync her iPod to her laptop in the future?
I have been reading about Home Sharing but I am not sure this is the approach I am after. Will home sharing work to allow her to alter and change the content on her PC without changing/altering it on mine? Will it allow her to sync her iPod with her PC?
I suppose I should also add that we are currently running 2 iPod touches, 2 iPads and an iPhone from my apple ID. I am not even sure if I would be able to add her PC as a device for home sharing if that is an option for us.
Any and all guidance is greatly appreciated.

I published my WP8 apps ~1 year ago (we didn't have to reserve app name at this time).
Recently, I reserved an app name (same with published app) and published app. After that, our customers feedback that they're not able to restore IAP product that already bought. I tried with my personal account and it's true. It's strange that this
only happen on Windows Phone 8.1 OS. It's still be ok to restore IAP on Windows Phone 8 OS.
2. Paid app
Same situation above, after reserving app name for published app and release an update. This app is unable to download on both Windows Phone 8 & 8.1 OS for users who already bought. Please check error message below. I tried to restart the device but
problem still occur.
Both 2 problems become serious for us because our customers who purchased IAP product and paid app think we're cheating them.
I tried to contact to WP Support but they're investing for 1 week and now there is no answer for me.
I really need someone here could support us to roll back our apps to the stage that before I reserving an app name or fix it ASAP for us.

I'm also experiencing the same issue for my paid (with trial) app and it's becoming a serious problem for my users. I have an open ticket with Support for a month now and the case is still under investigation with the root cause not established yet. Interestingly,
the issue also started right after assigning a reserved app name.

Can't Download Apps on 1st Generation Ipod Touch

My first generation Ipod is updated to software 3.1.3. I can't download the new software because my Ipod is too old. Whenever I try to download apps it says I need to update my Ipod software, but I can't. So will I never be able to download apps with my Ipod again?

I too have a 1st gen and running 3.1.3. I've tried to download various apps and get the banner warning. What really is disappointing is the fact 2nd gen and up is supported. There really wasn't much of a time difference in the release dates so this is another example of apple FORCING it''s bread and butter to keep shelling out cash. I've resorted to just using this thing for what it is. A MP3 player. When it dies, I'll start using my Android phone for music. My 4 teens have all been told, make your ipod last as I'm not buying a replacement. Those who have drunk their kookaid I hope suffer a hardware failure when it matters most. Shame on you apple for treating your customers this way. . I've had enough and I hope you lose more market share as time goes on to a more open and as far as I'm concerned, a better produce, Android. HELP! I cant download apps?

Okay so i have an ipad mini and ive had it for since spring 2013 so nearly a year. But today for some odd reason
I was unable to update an app. So i deleted the app and then went to get it again but it just says 'failed to download *app name*
Please try again later. Somebody said to reset my ipad but wont that delete all my apps and other history stored?

When I hit the,"Buy"button, I was asked to confirm my Credit card details. I confirmed it and was asked to enter the Security Code. When I did so,, a message appeared telling me that the Security Code was invalid and the purchase could not be completed. When I continued the game and got out again, the message appeared again asking me whether I wanted to buy. Thinking that my purchase was not completed, I again hit the,"Buy" button. Nothing happened. I continued the game and when I got out, I received the same message and obliged accordingly. This went on for three or more times. By this time,however I got confused and quit the game. All these things happened on 6th September 2013. The next day,I was shocked to see 5 receipts from the Apple Apps.store in the In Box of my email account,each for Rs.170/-
totalling Rs850/. Worse still, when I played the game the next day and got out and asked for a revival, would you believe it, I was again asked whether I would like to buy 5 revivals for Rs.170/-.
Thus,I ended up buying a game for Rs.850/- while the actual price is only Rs.170/-,and not even able to play the full game.
Could anyone please tell me whether I can get a refund of Rs.680/-,the extra amount I paid for this game.

You can redownload most iTunes purchases directly to the iPod by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Otherwise you will have to sync from your iTunes library.

How to re download apps from the Mac App Store:
Open the App Store. From the menu bar click Store > Sign In
Click Purchases from the top of the App Store window.
Select which apps you want to re download. Then right or control click where you see Installed then click Install.
Make sure and use the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.

After 4 repetitions I think I got that straight.
Answer: Return the CD.
Or did you mean this was an album you bought from iTunes, in which case it really isn't a "CD" (which is a hard, plastic, shiny disc) and I'm at risk of getting confused. If it is a corrupt file that you downloaded, delete the file and try downloading it again.
