  • Can't download purchased content. "Unable to check for available downloads"

I can no longer download purchased content. Each time I check for available downloads I get an error message that says "Unable to check for available downloads. The iTunes Store is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later."
The screen says I have 17 itunes downloads available but cannot download them. The most recent purchase I am not able to download is Season 3 of Dexter in standard def and some other season passes. This is really annoying; I already paid for the content and am not able to watch it...

After sending two e-mails and recording a screen-cast video solved the problem.

  • HT4623 Why is it that if I synch my iPad and with my laptop the ipad still has to download purchased content although it was already downloaded to the PC?

Why is it that when I synch my iPad with itunes, the purchased content still (especially music and movies) have again to download on the iPad eventhough the content has been downloaded to itunes already?

But where are you seeing evidence of that? Explain what makes you think that they are being downloaded from iCloud? Do you see a cloud icon next to the music and movies on the iPad? That simply means that they are available in iCloud for you to download without having to go to the purchased tabs of the stores on your device if you want to download them again.
You can turn that off in Settings>iTunes and App Store>Show All>Videos>Off and Music>Off.

  • Recovered purchased content after HD crash

    Hi
I recently lost content purchased from the store due to a hard disk crash. I replaced disk and installed iTunes etc and signed into the store to re-download the content. When I click the Purchased link I can see everything that I've purchased, but when I click 'Not on this Computer' about half the content (several $) worth does not show up, as if for some reason iTunes thinks I have aleady downloaded to the new disk, which I have not. Any ideas on how I can retreive the complete content please ?
    Thanks

  • Download purchased content onto authorized computer

It would be nice if apple allowed its users to have access to their purchased content where ever they are. I mean if I can authorize 5 computers to use my purchased content then I should be able to download that content no matter where I am or what computer I'm on as long as it is authorized under my apple ID. But of course this is not the case, thanks apple. instead when I re-image a computer I have to make sure I have backed up my 50,000+ song library because If I lose any of those songs, well apple wont let me re-download them without going through a lot of hoopla. I guess the point of this ***** fest is, you know apple it would be nice if you make it a little easier for your users.

Well, the iTunes store terms are what they are, just like Amazon, Walmart, Rhapsody, Napster, etc - they only give you one download for purchased song files. I thought the streaming service suggestion was at least helpful, if you don't want to worry about backing up files.
We're all other iTunes users here, so if you want to suggest it to Apple, go ahead, but I doubt it will change.

  • How do I organise iTunes purchases/content after moving abroad? Please help...

Please can someone advise in simple terms, I am so confused!
I have recently moved with my young family from the UK to the USA. We are hoping this will be a permanent move, but this is yet to be confirmed. We will be visiting the uk hopefully every year and no doubt take the phones and iPads with us. Between us we have:
    Ipad 2
    Ipad minis x 2
    Apple TV
    iPhone 4s
    iPhone 5c
All my iTunes content is stored on my hp laptop, including many CDs and DVDs that I converted to an apple format. Purchases in the uk include 10 albums, 10 movies, 1 tv show, 27 books, a gazillion apps (most of those free, apart from I know I purchased minecraft and the kids have spent hours creating worlds on there!). Most of all this is for the children. I don't tend to store any content on the devices themselves unless we are planning a long trip. We tend to rely on wifi and home sharing to access all content from my laptop.
I've just started to look at changing the iTunes Store location/credit card from the UK to the USA. I went to an apple shop to help me do this to make sure I was going about it the right way, I even purchased frozen movie from iTunes Store whilst I was in the apple store, to check it worked. It did, but on the device I updated - ipad 2 - I can no longer see the movies or music that were there before. I've refrained from changing any other devices as yet. The apps all seem to be there however. (I understand that some of these apps may not get updates if I don't change to the USA iTunes Store, since they were obtained in the uk).
I basically need to understand what options I have in terms of easily being able to access all content (whether converted or downloaded content) ideally via homesharing, as the kids are used to that.
    1) in settings do I keep the uk iTunes Store and uk credit card linked to it, and continue to make purchases from there (is this even possible?) Would purchasing a uk VPN help with this?
    2) in settings do I convert to the USA iTunes Store and USA credit card - on all devices - and if so, how can we access all our content? If this is an option I would greatly appreciate instructions on what to do.
I think one option would be to just change the country/credit card details in settings each time we wish to access something from the 'other' store - but this isn't really practical with all our devices and 2 young kids who just wouldn't understand why they can't see all their movies in the cloud! I don't have time to permanently be switching details on their devices all day!
Many thanks in advance for any guidance on this. I really want to get everything working smoothly.

You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
That is sometimes refured of redownloading from iCloud.
If the media is not current available from iTunes/APp store yo can't rdownload it. In the USA, ringtones and audio books are not redownloadable.

  • Can't download purchased content onto ipad from iTunes Store

I have purchased a tv series on the iTunes Store on my lap top. When I go to iTunes on my iPad it will not let me download it onto my iPad. The cloud symbol turns to a circle for a couple of seconds and then goes back to a cloud symbol. Any ideas? Thanks.

    That's good to hear.
After some mucking about I managed to get it downloading on another computer (which is already running 10.8). Hopefully I should be able to copy it over and install.
But I will let Apple know - potentially pretty disasterous for people.
    Thanks.

  • Cannot Download Purchased Music After iTunes Match Subscription Expired

The other day my iTunes Match subscription expired (making less money and decided to cut out the cost). I expected to not be able to access music I had stored on my computer (which was the only reason I did Match in the first place), but now, even songs I have very recently purchased using my phone are unavailable. I don't typically buy songs while on my computer, preferring instead to just use the iTunes app on my phone to make the purchases on the go. After purchasing them, I did not think they would not actually be downloaded to my phone. Anytime I try to re-download these songs, I receive a pop up notification stating when my iTunes Match subscription expired. Is there a way to get these songs to play on my phone without having to pay for iTunes Match again? I'm pretty unhappy about this because that was not how Match was advertised to function and don't feel we should have to pay a yearly fee just to be able to restore our purchases we made on the actual device.
My phone is a 32 gb 5S running iOS 8.3.

I've been having a problem similar to this. I click download, it charges me for it and then gives me a message saying there was a problem downloading, an unknown error occurred(-50), check the network connection to make sure it is active and try again. No firewall, no web accelator, network working fine for EVERYTHING else. I think this is because the iTunes servers are overloaded. It seems to have started once they put movies, tv shows, video games, etc. on the iTunes store. I would imagine the download time of these new services are much longer and more bandwidth taxing than the music they've been selling. I usually continue to try for the next few days, maybe trying during off hours to avoid the bandwidth traffic jams, and this SEEMS to help. Although, this is all pure speculation, it is what has worked for me. Still makes me consider paying more at Borders just so I CAN own it when I pay for it. Seems if you take my money I should get the product. Kinda sucky.

I would like to download some 50 tables data content locally into csv file format. As the number of tables are quite more, I am planning to run this in background. GUI_DOWNLOAD doesnt help me here. Can you plz suggest how can I go ahead to download files then.
I am using the FM 'SAP_CONVERT_TO_CSV_FORMAT' for converting the internal table to csv format. Suggest me if there is any other way.
Your suggestions would be very valuable.
    Thank you in advance.

  • ITunes won't download purchased content: "Error 5000"

Whenever I purchase something from the iTunes store, I get an "Error 5000" message saying that "You do not have enough access privileges." I asked a genius at the Apple Store and they don't know what to do. I have an administrator account, so I should have enough access privileges. Please tell me what to do.

deleting the preferences (your homefolder<library<preferences<com.apple.iTunes.plist) seems to work for me for a while, but not the whole time. You also have to go each time again through the little set-up (find music in my home folder, use iTunes for internet content playback and what not), so I would like to know if anybody has any other solution?
I download a lot of podcasts and they are affected by this issue, too.

  • How to re-download iTunes content after drive failure?

    Hi.
As posted elsewhere I've recently had a media drive failure resulting in the loss of all my downloads of my TV shows and Movies from iTunes. Being an idiot I never backed them up so I now have a dilemma. The half dozen movies I've probably lost now until the UK catches up with North America and allows Movies in the Cloud, however we are able to redownload TV Shows. Or so I thought.
My problem is that if I go to my 'Purchased' tab in iTunes Store and select one of my now missing TV Shows it says "Downloaded" in the popup window. If I delete the (now empty) programme folder from the iTunes TV Shows Library sidebar it still says the show is already downloaded. Anyone any ideas how I can reset that "Downloaded" back to "Download"?
Before I lost the media if I just deleted the programme from iTunes it reset the Downloaded tag, but this doesn't seem to be the case now.

Ah. It seems a few relaunches of iTunes, some choice swear words, threats of making the device airborne and a few minutes to allow its brain to kick in has reset things. Sorry to bother anyone. Please ignore

  • Can't download purchased apps after Lion clean install

I zeroed my drive and did a clean install of Lion from a USB stick.
I then performed a Mobile me sync.
Now I'm trying to install apps from the app store and every single one of them is telling me it's already installed. I've even tried holding down Option and clicking on the Purchased tab to no avail. It just won't let me download anything.
    Any suggestions?

I got it figured out. I still had my old drive in the Mac and the app store was recognizing the apps on *that* drive too. I just pulled the old drive and was able to download the apps.

  • Itunes store charged me for re-downloading purchased content

i downloaded a music video a few weeks ago (taylor swift: you belong with me)
i still have the receipt in my email. then, unfortunately, someone stole my ipod. so, i re-downloaded it again from itunes and clicked 'buy' button. unfortunately, my credits ($36+) was decreased (now $34+). well it has to be free for re-downloading because i purchased it already. i want my $1.99 back.

it is well state that you pay for a single download (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1469). it is your responsability to create your own backup with the only exception of app store.
you should have contacted Apple Support before taking for granted that you can redownload your purchases. given said that, you can still try to contact Apple Support to explain your mistake and see how the can help you.
since it is a fact that Apple only gives you one download when you purchase, you not get any more help in this forum. good luck,

  • Unable to download purchased songs after restetting my iPad

I recently resat my iPad to get rid of old photos and apps, but now I can't download my purchased songs from my iPad, nor my computer. It says "Purchsed", but the icon is grey, and I can't seem to find any solution. Please help!

    Hi Aloha Imagery,
Welcome to the Support Communities!  With iTunes 12, you do have the ability to download all of your purchased songs at one time.  Click on the link below for step-by-step instructions from the iTunes User Guide.
    http://help.apple.com/itunes/mac/12/#/itns36a8f323
Download previous iTunes Store purchases to an authorized computer
Click your name to the left of the Search field and choose Purchased. If you don’t see your name, click Sign In.
In the page that appears, select a category.
iTunes shows you which of your purchases are available for download. You can view all of your past purchases, or just the ones not currently in your iTunes library. Items already in your library aren’t available for download.
If you select Music, you can view your purchases by song, artist, or album. If you’re viewing by album, click an album to see which songs on it are available for downloading.
To search for an item, type its name or a keyword in the search field, and then press the Return key to view your search results.
To download an item, click its Download button .
To download all available items, click Download All.
The download All button is at the bottom-right corner of your screen:
    Play on! :)
