Just download it from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ - the installer will automatically install both 32-bit and 64-bit players on a 64-bit system.

  • Where can I find direct downloads of Flash Player 11 for Windows?

I install flash player frequently and would like to have an offline installer like there was in the past, not this thing that downloads every time and deletes itself afterward. I subscribe to the Adobe mailing list and get notices whenever there's a new version so I can keep my repository up to date.

  • WHY is it that you cannot fix (completely so you never have to come back to it again) how adobe flash player works with windows 8.1?

    Hi,
I would like to start a discussion on how one of the "leading" software companies in the WORLD cannot provide a better way for their software (which I assume they want everyone to use) to be used in conjunction with windows 8.1.   ADOBE no longer provides support for those who don't pay to be here, they don't have a reasonably intelligent way to fix problems for non computer minded people, they want you to go through and change this setting or that (ya, I've seen the page and done the crap they tell you to do to fix the flash player so it works and... it works... for a little while then you wind up with a fkn green screen after another day or two... this is complete BS you shouldn't have to unfk things so they work every few days... you shouldn't have to deal with crap like this... I AM GOING TO USE VLC PLAYER OR SOMETHING ELSE TO TAKE CARE OF MY VIDEO PLAYER NEEDS IN MY DIFFERENT BROWSERS FROM NOW ON... YOU GUYS SUCK, YOU HAVE NO SUCH THING AS SUPPORT ANYMORE AND YOU ARE OBVIOUSLY MOVING BACK INSTEAD OF FORWARD IN THE INNOVATION DEPARTMENT!!!!)
    1.  this should be simple, install the software, install an update if the software is installed and up to date it should work... don't make me fiddle with all the extra bs, your the software developer why cant' you do that????
    2.  you tried to make it easier by making it so flash player is imbedded in my browser, congratulations you made it screwed up... think of it this way, now I have to get rid of your software to have something malleable I can deal with... your software doesn't work half the time, i'm sick and tired of dealing with it... i'm not going to deal with it anymore, I have changed the settings as directed on your help page and it worked.... for a freakin DAY, then I get green screens when I try to use it the very next day... so... I undo the changes I made the previous day... and redo the changes AGAIN and it works AGAIN.... FOR A FKN DAY!!!  WTFO!!!! this is complete and total bs, your idea to make things simpler made things more complicated, more labor intensive, and more of a pain in the azz for the rest of the world... SO I am going to find a way to not have to deal with ADOBE anymore!!! screw you adobe, screw your software, screw your lack of support.  you have nothing to offer me that I cannot get elsewhere with less drama, I hope your business crashes like your software... have a nice day!

One of my programs needed Flash Player and downloaded it for me!  So, Problem solved.  Thanks to all who are reading this.  I would delete it if I could.

  • [TECHNOTE ANNOUNCE]  Error installing Flash Player "The download did not pass the integrity check (16236.304.443)

    All,
I've published a new technote for folks who are having trouble with the Adobe Download Manager and Flash Player.
Error installing Flash Player "The download did not pass the integrity check (16236.304.443)
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/512/cpsid_51258.html
Essentially this technote links to the Windows troubleshooting technote here:
    http://www.adobe.com/go/tn_19166
However, before today the Windows troubleshooting technote only had an EXE install for the ActiveX version of Flash Player 10.  I have now added a link to download the EXE version of the Flash Player Plugin installer as well.
Please point other users with integrity check errors to the first technote.

Thank you for the update & Tech Note Announcement. I do have a couple of questions, if you could please respond.
After uninstalling and ready to download; reading from the link you provided on 9/4/09, Should we follow the normal download instructions
per #2. "Flash  Player download Center" and if a successful installation is not accomplished, THEN, go to "download and unzip install_Flash_Player_10_Plugin (all other windows browsers) ? Or should the latter step be done in lieu of #2 mentioned. I am assuming the download from F.P. D.L. Center would be done first and then troubleshoot by running the EXE. version of the F.P. Plugin installer.
Experience has taught me not to assume much, and if you don't know, ask!
Thanks for your hard work, but you have to admit, for the technically deprived, it is frustrating and confusing.

Apologies for the slightly pedantic answer, but in application terms, "closed" and "quit" are two different things. An application such as Safari can have several windows open, and each of them can be closed using the red button in the corner.
However, even after all windows are closed, the application is still running until you specifically quit it. You can tell it's still running by the small light under its icon in the Dock. If you hold your cursor down on the icon for a few seconds, you should see a pop up menu with the "Quit" option - click that to quit it. Or, click the icon once (this may launch a new window), then either go to the Safari menu and click Quit, or click cmd-Q, to completely quit the app.

  • Flash player setup no longer working in newer versions of FireFox. How do I fix this?

I need to change the buffer size in the Flash player. The setup window pops up, but seems to be in a disabled state that will not allow changing anything. The only way to remove the disabled setup window is to do a reload. This removes the Flash Player setup window and restores all to normal. How do I re-enable the Flash Player setup to function normally? This worked three versions ago.

You can try to delete the Flash settings folder on your hard drive.
Delete the macromedia.com and #SharedObjects folders to reset all Flash cookies and settings.
    %AppData%\Macromedia\Flash Player\
    C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\
The "Application Data" folder in XP/Win2K and the "AppData" folder in Vista/Windows 7 are hidden folders.

You really don't need to do "secure Empty Trash." Just empty the Trash. If you don't have permission to access some items that means you shouldn't be trying to delete them or you are trying to delete a file you don't own.
If your external drive is used only on your Mac, then it should not be formatted ExFAT. It should be prepared as follows:
    Drive Partition and Format
    1. Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
    2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
    3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Apply button and wait until the process has completed.
    4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
    5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Security button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
    6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.
Try restarting the computer. Then again try to Empty the Trash. Do you still get the error? What are you trying to delete?

  • Flash Player Updates to Windows 8

I need help downloading and installing the update to flash Player on my Windows 8 computer. I don't understand the Help FAQs. How do I reach a person at Adobe to help me?

You'd need to know how to uninstall it from Windows 8 (via the registry) to manually update Flash Player in Windows 8. Because it's embedded by Microsoft (for IE 10), it updates through Windows Update (in your Control Panel under System and Security and the Windows Update subheading)

  • Flash Player 7 for Windows Mobile crashes Pocket IE

I just downloaded and installed the latest Flash Player 7 for
Windows Mobile on my Windows Mobile 2003 SE device. As a result
Pocket Internet Explorer crashes whenever it tries to open a page
with Flash content - including the adobe.com website. Opera Mobile
seems not to recognize the player and simply ignores all Flash
    content.
Is there any way to fix this and to get Flash support on
    Windows Mobile 2003 SE ?

You will probably find that Adobe.com is using Flash 8 or 9
    content, hence
the crash. Since most up-to-date web sites will be similar,
    you may find
Flash 7 is largely unusable for web surfing.
    Just speculating.
    I don't know for certain.
