Help please-"Application Not Responding" for Safari and Mail
I read in one discussion that if Safari is slow, you can go to Font Book and select the fonts with a bullet to get rid of duplicate fonts. I did that, and then decided to disable some japanese fonts I don't use.
Now Safari and Mail don't work. Mail won't open at all, and Safari launches but doesn't load and I get the spinning wheel.
I used Disk Utility to fix permissions, and that didn't solve the problem, and now my Disk Utility also says "Application Not Responding".
I also went back to Font Book and enabled all the fonts I disabled. Still nothing.
( I can use Netscape-so it's only Mac applications I guess)
Any help is very much appreciated.

Wow- i fixed it! I remembered that when I was in Font Book originally, there were some fonts disabled, and I enabled them.
I couldn't remember EXACTLY which ones, but I disabled some I thought were the ones, and VOILA!
Mail works, Safari works...what a relief!
And it only took me HOURS...oh well.

Help PLEASE- Server not responding error
So I got an iPad2 last week Saturday, and the Internet was working great, but this week I have continuously been receiving an error saying: Cannot Open Page: Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding. I check to make sure that I'm connected, and when I try to go on safari the page loads for about 30 secs and the error appears.
I have tried everything thus far I.E.
Turn the device on/off
Reset my network setting
Pressed forget this network and tried to reconnect
Turned my airplane mode on/off
But nothing is working. I got this as a graduation gift and it ***** that I can't use it. So someone please advise me on what I should do! :-(Have you tried restarting/resetting the iPad itself?

If that doesn't help, are you trying to connect only with a single WiFi access point? If so, can other devices connect to that WiFi, or have you tried the iPad with another WiFi connection to confirm that the problem isn't with your WiFi or Internet connection? -

Thanks.There are three Fonts folders: /System/Library/Fonts/, /Library/Fonts/, and /Home/Library/Fonts/. The first is restricted only to system access, the second to all users access, and the third to the specific user account access. You will find this similar organization for numerous folders of OS X. It's a standard hierarchy of Unix.

Because of weak WiFi signal I need to use an external antenna (GSI USB wireless WIFI long range network adapter). My computer can see the signal clearly and shows that I am connected to the right network. But when I try to launch Firefox I get a message that "Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system." When I click "OK" Firefox tries to load websites but gives up and reports "Problem Loading". It looks like Firefox is having trouble "seeing" the signal from the external antenna. What do I need to do please?
Try Ubuntu support, I don't think your problem is with Firefox - it will use the connection that the Operating System "makes". I'm a real noob with Ubuntu myself, and don't think I can help you figure out the problem.

After installing Roboform 2.0.0;
Starting Firefox started to take too much time.
When i open a new tab, until the tab is fully loaded and Roboform realizes which website it is, Firefox does not respond.
When i tell Roboform to fill the username and password fields in a tab, until Roboform submits Firefox does not respond.
I mean, as if Roboform is not working background and Firefox cannot work multithread because of it. When i navigate from one tab to another, Roboform is also checking the tab and meanwhile Firefox is waiting for Roboform to finish its work.
Please help me about this problem.

After going through all the troubleshooting suggestions and also uninstalling and re-installing Firefox, it still won't work. To begin with it was fading out and a 'not responding' notice appeared on the header, with the pointer turning to the timer but nothing was happening. It's been working well for ages and I haven't added anything or deleted anything recently, so can't understand why it should suddenly stop working.
I've followed all the troubleshooting advice and disabled the plug ins, also removed a lot of the add ons, still didn't work. Then I uninstalled it and re-installed it.
Now it won't even open. A window comes up saying it has crashed and giving me the option to re-start it or quit it. If I click re-start, it won't re-start.
I've even started it in safe mode but that won't stay open either, it opens for about a minute then just closes.

The pass 4 days now my iTunes Store is not responding, when I reload it all that comes up is a blank white page that says iTunes Store. Help please!!!! Cannot load my gift card to buy music and such!!!

I found a solution to my problem.

> right click on the command prompt icon and choose "run as administrator".
Once it opens, type in the following command...
netsh winsock reset
hit enter
You should get a message that the winsock reset successful and you will need to reboot your computer.
Reboot and when I reloaded itunes the store loaded fine.

Itunes still is not working correctly. There was a software update that i received yesterday and i figured it would fix the problem with itunes not responding, but it didn't. It's still doing the same thing. I'm getting kinda annoyed cause i use itunes as my main music player so please help me fix this software issue thanks!

I need help iTunes 10.6.3 Mac running 10.7.3 not responding I have deleted iTunes and reinstall iTunes and it keeps happening I also scanned the computer for any trojans and any other possible viruses but the pc is running perfect waft do I do ? Please help me ?

Here's what I did:
First I tried the Winsock reset in the Command prompt. Nothing changed.
Next, I tried the instructions on http://http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4123. The only other program that came up on the 'Winsock Providers' tab on the program was 2 Windows Live applications, which I can do without. So I deleted all Windows Live Applications.
I did the Winsock reset in the Command Prompt again and rebooted my comp.
Unfortunately, nothing has changed. iTunes keeps freezing at various stages of the sync, then shows the candy cane-striped bar with either the words 'Finishing sync' or 'Cancelling sync', before showing the Apple logo.
Sometimes, iTunes gets to the syncing stage - "Copying # of ####" - where it will trudge through the first, second and third tracks before flashing "Copying 4 of ####" for a split second and I catch "Cancelling sync" briefly before the Apple logo appears.
Again, I've repeated the steps I mentioned in my previous post. Does ANYONE know when the new version of iTunes is set to be released?! This one is driving me INSANE, to say the least!! -

CS4 MEDIA ENCODER (not responding) please help...
I'm working with a PC VISTA home premiere 4gb ram, Nvidia gt 220 GPU, dual core, and CS4 MASTER SUITE.
Used PREMIERE PRO CS4 to capture NTSC dv widescreen footage (from DVX100B)
Used CS4 AFTER EFFECTS for GRAIN & TITLE GRAPHICS and rendered each clip as a QUICKTIME (newest version) .MOV animated file.
SAVED RENDERED CLIPS TO a 1TB external hard drive...connected to pc via usb...not esata yet...
IMPORTED RENDERED .MOV files into PREMIERE PRO and EDITED together a nice SEQUENCE just over 3min in length.
EXPORTED TO MEDIA (used serval different export settings with the same result) SEQUENCE FILE PULLS UP IN ENCODER and I click START QUE
and it trys to load then (not responding) freezing MEDIA ENCODER where I have to reboot...due the task manager wont shut it down.
Everything I have tried (Current Updates Installed, Video Card drivers updated, Re installed Premiere Pro, quicktime update, ENCODER update) is not working.
1) Are my .MOV files to large? ( what is a good size for a .mov) they range from 60-500MB
2)I read some forums about debugging and corrupt .dll files (please advise if the makes sense)
3) How do I run a clean script...will that help?
4) I HAVE A BUNCH of audio files .wav and aaf files...in the squence are they loading it down?
