Re: (forte-users) [FORTE LIBS] Loading forte library'libqqrt.sl' proble
Loading dynamic library /forte/install/lib/libqqix.a
SYSTEM ERROR: System Error: No such file or directory, loading the library
'/forte/install/lib/libqqix.a'
USER ERROR: The dynamic library libqqix for the project Informix could not
be found.
......................................This seems to be a rather simple (or common ? :)) library loading
problem to me.
Please note that libqqix.a is not a dynamic library, it is a static
one :)
I do not know AIX exactly, but maybe the commands are the same as I
know them from Solaris (and Sinix, broaaf :) ).
Make yourself convenient with following ones:
ldd - to check what libraries one needs, and if they can be found
truss - to trace system calls (f.e. library load attempts and so on)
Make sure that your LD_LIBRARY_PATH (or equivalent under AIX) is set
correctly, and more important, for that process (!) that fails to load
the Informix library.
Since the libraries are loaded in chain, if a library needs another that
is not loaded yet, then it will be tried to load, it may happen that one
library can not be loaded (for whatever reason) that the Informix library
needs. In this case you will only see that informix library can't be loaded.
But if you know that as I told you, you can track the problem using ldd. :)
Again, this problem seems neither a Forte, nor an Informix, but rather a
configuration problem to be for me.
Just my $0.02

Akos Gabriel

Re: (forte-users) Dynamic Class Loading andUnloading
If you are using TOOL libraries, perhaps you can use the CL level feature of
Forte to load libraries.
If the initial meta data libraries are CL0, your external data used to load
the library can specify "cl0". Then you update the libraries, make them CL1,
update your external data to specify "cl1" and then when the next time you
need to load a class, it will open the library set as "cl1". Since cl0 and
cl1 are effectively two totally different libraries from Forte's point of
view, they can both exist and need not be unloaded per se.
Of course once you go to cl1, you cannot go back to the cl0 level if you
want to modify code in the library. The next step is cl2, cl3 etc.
Could this be an option for your problem?

Problem with generating Forte library in compiled mode underHP-UX
Hello all,
I try to generate in compiled mode on HP-UX a Forte library starting from a
plan "the_plan" which has some supplier plans.
Everything works fine except at link time which fails.
In fact, Forte is searching for a <supplier plan name> .sl file for each of
the supplier plans (and also for the suppliers of the suppliers).
For each supplier plan, Forte has included in the link command something
like :
/opt/forte/appdist/centrale/the_plan/cl0/codegen/one_supp/one_supp.sl
which is not found obviously because these plans are not libraries.
These supplier plans are not libraries (except one) but standard source
plans.
Same behaviour if I use "Make distribution" with auto-compile or if I run
fcompile in the directory with the the_plan.lgf file.
Thanks for your help.

Hi,
We are facing a very strange issue on a SharePoint Publishing portal. Domain users (contribute level access) have access to document libraries under specific sub sites. Every morning if they try to access the document library pages, users complain about "Access Denied" issue on document library page. But if a SP Farm admin account login on site, and browse to document library page, access denied issue seems to disappear for end users also. For whole day it works fine. But next day access denied error occurs again. I am not sure why this is happening. I have looked into Event Log and SharePoint Logs, found following information useful, but not sure what to do next.
Please help.

MCTS, MCADHi pryank,
From the log, it seems that the users don’t have permission on this page:
/Projects/LFB/03 Bid Stage 1/Forms/AllItems.aspx
Does the sub site have unique permission instead of inheriting permission from the parent site? If no, you need to make the sub site to inherit permission from the site collection so that master page also inherits the right. If this is not allowed in your organization, please go to “Site Actions”à “Site Settings” à “Master Pages and Page Layouts” to give users permissions on this document library.
Hope this helps.

I've been trying to create a database link from a MySQL database to Oracle using the Oracle dg4odbc gateway. I downloaded and installed DataDirect's ODBC package which includes mysql ODBC library (ddmysql24.so) and a generic ODBC libary (libodbc.so). After creating the DSN in odbc.ini, I tested it and it can connect to the mysql database. Then I created the init{SID}.ora file in hs/admin directory, added dg4odbc lines in the listener.ora, and added lines in tnsnames.ora. Then I tnspinged the new SID with success. Finally, I created the database link. However, when I tried to access the database, I got the ORA-28500 error. In the trace log, I found the following:

I searched the functions within libodbc.so and found all the SQLAlloc* functions in this library. Why do I still get the error?
Thanks for your help. Jeffrey

perhaps you have to install a informatica fix or a DAC patch -
Hi, i have just created a new database but i keep getting the following error
ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [unable to load XDB library],
initializing SGA: sga_pass1Dynamic link error: Could not load module /u03/app/or
acle/product/10.2.0.5/lib32/libxdb.so.
The module has an invalid magic number.
None of the other databases that have been running on the machine give out this error.
I am running oracle 10.2 on aix
I have read it may be something to do with it being 64 bit libraries. Even though none of the other DB's gave out any errors I have changed the setting in the user profile removing any mention of lib32 so they now read
PATH=$ORACLE_HOME/bin:$ORACLE_HOME/lib:$ORACLE_HOME/lib
LIBPATH=$ORACLE_HOME/lib
export LIBPATH
Ive shutdown the box, restarted the databases but the error occurs
Any ideas?
Many thanksPlease check metalink doc ID 1292089.1
It seems you have started the database with worng LIB settings, there are some steps provided to resolve this in the document
On AIX there is special step for it and that should resolve your issue.

Virendra

Iphoto 6 crashes after opening and loading any library.
iphoto 6 crashes after launching and loading the iphoto library. It just quits and says "The application iPhoto quit unexpectedly". The same library will open on another users account. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling iphoto three times. I have repaired permissions. I have deleted preference files. I have even reinstalled the 10.4.5 os x combo update.
iphoto 6 loads under another users account, and will load any library, but will not load any library in a particular (administrators) user account.
I have been looking through the Discussion thread for 3 hours and have not been able to find a solution to the problem.
I can post a crash report, if it will help any.
I am running iphoto 6.0.2 and os x 10.4.5 with the latest security update. I have a powerbook 1.33 60G hard drive and 768 mb of ram.
Powerbook 1.33g 12" Mac OS X (10.4.5)Moving the iphoto library folder to the desktop and creating a new library yields the same crash as with any library. It will open iphoto and then it quits.
Also, here is the crash log. I am not sure what part you need to help you out, so here is the whole thing.

PL/SQL missing symbol while loading external library
I have followed all the steps in creating external library in PL/SQL i.e. configuring Listerner, TNSNAMES.ORA etc. etc.
While invoking a function call on this external library, I am getting a missing symbol error :
ORA-06520: PL/SQL: Error loading external library
ORA-06522: /home/qzintf/libSQLAdapter.so: undefined symbol: Fneeded32
ORA-06512: at "EQMIG.QUARTZSQLADAPTER", line 0
ORA-06512: at line 12
This missing symbol "Fneeded32" is located in a tuxedo shared lib. The path of tuxedo library (libfml32.so) has already been put in the env var LD_LIBRARY_PATH, but still Oracle is not looking into this library !
Is there any way where I can define dependency of QUARTZSQLADAPTER on libfml32.so ?? Or make oracle use load this library while loading QUARTZSQLADAPTER ??Is the path to libfml32.so accessible to the oracle o/s user and the so itself readable/loadable by oracle?
You neglected to supply any details of platform and versions - please always do. Full Oracle version and version of o/s.
If you are using Oracle 64bit (quite likely on Unix flavours), confirm that libfml32.so is a 64bit so. If 32bit then the loadlibrary call will fail as 32bit objects cannot be natively loaded into a 64bit process image. -
Error loading external library (Oracle 8.1.5)
I'm running Oracle 8.1.5 and am trying to configure the interMedia Text option to enable long test searches using the "contains" operator.
I've installed (and re-installed) the interMedia text option trying to get this thing working. The installations (including the re-installation) were successful and starting the ctxsrv process was successful as well. No matter what I do, however, I get the following error when I try to create a context type index:
SQL> create index z$long_ix on z$long(data) indextype is ctxsys.context;
create index z$long_ix on z$long(data) indextype is ctxsys.context

ORA-06512: at "CTXSYS.TEXTINDEXMETHODS", line 34
ORA-06512: at line 1
I have tried everything in the online newsgroups, FAQs, etc, but still seem to have this error come up.
My tnsnames.ora contains:
EXTPROC_CONNECTION_DATA =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS_LIST =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = IPC)(KEY = EXTPROC0))
(CONNECT_DATA =
(SID = PLSExtProc)
My listener.ora contains:
LISTENER =
(DESCRIPTION_LIST =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = IPC)(KEY = EXTPROC0))
SID_LIST_LISTENER =
(SID_LIST =
(SID_DESC =
(SID_NAME = PLSExtProc)
(ORACLE_HOME = /dbmsu001/app/oracle/product/8.1.5)
(ENVS=LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/dbmsu001/app/oracle/product/8.1.5/lib:/dbmsu001/app/oracle/product/8.1.5/ctx/lib)
(PROGRAM = extproc)
(SID_DESC =
(SID_NAME = SWOW)
(GLOBAL_DBNAME = devlab)
(ORACLE_HOME = /dbmsu001/app/oracle/product/8.1.5)
I restarted the listener each time I made changes to listener.ora and I restarted ctxsrv process each time as well to make sure. I run ctxsrv as "ctxsrv -user ctxsys/ctxsys -personality M -log ctx.log &". I exited SQL*PLus and restarted to make sure I got a new session under the new listener process.
I don't know alot about libraries and external processes, but from what I've read, I have everything setup properly. I checked the dba_libraries view and it shows the proper filename and path for the libctxx8.so file. It should be correct as it's the same file/path I entered while installing the interMedia text option.
I've also tried setting text_enable = FALSE in initXXX.ora to make sure that doesn't interfere. Somewhere I read that having that parameter set to TRUE may cause some problems as it's only for version prior to 8.1.5.
If you have any additional information that can help me get this working, it would be greatly appreciated. I've spent countless hours and am just spinning my wheels now with an ever increasing level of frustration.

Boston, MAThis might be best asked in the Oracel Text forum...
But, it appears that you have extproc configured correctly, the problem is that extproc cannot find the shared object in question. It cannot dynamically load the shared object becaus it cannot find it.
In my experience, this is due to a LD_LIBRARY_PATH unix environmental variable that does not include the directory where the shared object is. You should set this variable in the login script for the oracle user.
From the installation guide.... I am not sure if this library is in ORACLE_HOME/lib, if not add the directory to LD_LIBRARY_PATH
LD_LIBRARY_PATH
Required when using Oracle products that use shared libraries. Set LD_LIBRARY_
PATH to include $ORACLE_HOME/lib. -
This is the full error message. It's a 2011 Macbook Air running Mountain Lion. It crashed today and now will only boot into safemode. I've tracked the error down to this but this is the limit of my knowledge. Any help!?

Servicegen: unable to load type library from classloader weblogic.utils.cl
Hi,
I am new to weblogic. I am encountering an error on trying to run the 'servicegen' command from my ant build scripts, on weblogic 9.2.
Please find the build.xml snapshot, and the stack trace given below.
Please help me out with this.
Points to be noted are:-
1) The ejb-jar.xml specifies the bean class, which is very much present in the classpath. The ejb-jar.xml is generated by xdoclet. Snapshot is given below:-
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE ejb-jar PUBLIC "-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD Enterprise JavaBeans 2.0//EN" "http://java.sun.com/dtd/ejb-jar_2_0.dtd">

2) When I replace the "ejbJar" attribute in the 'service' command with "javaClassComponents" attribute, I am able to run the servicegen command successfully. Not sure why the ejbJar is creating problems.
3) Build.xml snapshot:-

Unable to Load JdbcOdbc library -- Linux
I know this question has been asked a lot, but I couldn't find a helpful answer in all my searches. I'm trying to use JdbcOdbc to connect to MySQL via ODBC on Linux. I have to use ODBC as part of an assignment, which is rather annoying, since the MySQL J/Connectivity JDBC driver works perfectly. But the assignment sort of assumes I'm on Windows and using MS Access, although I did have a choice to use MySQL.
That's the background.
This is the error I'm getting when trying to connect to ODBC. It's loading the driver all right (ie: no problems if I comment out the lines that tries to connect to the database).
*Driver.connect (jdbc:odbc:flightData)

at testData.main(testData.java:17)
I've tried variations on the URL and the connect pattern, but it seems almost certain that it cannot load the library, and it's not the URL that's the problem yet.
What I've done:
I did a search on google and on this forum. I found that the directory containing libJdbcOdbc.so should be in /etc/ld.so.conf. I added it and I ran ldconfig -v; the library is listed in the output of that command, so I think it is loaded. I don't know how to check if a particular library is loaded?
In this forum, I found that there might be a problem with the access permissions. I read that I should set the AllPermission policy to see if that's a problem, but I'm not exactly sure how to do that. Policytool is kind of cryptic, and on top of that, its GUI window is not displaying properly for me. If somebody could tell me the contents I should put in ~/.java.policy to enable all permissions, it might help.
In addition, I've tried using the JDBCTest tool, and it also was unable to connect to ODBC. However, if I use the tool called DataManager that is a part of the ODBC implementation, it can connect to the database easily (which indicates that the database is properly set up via ODBCConfig, I think).
My System:
I'm running Debian Linux 3.0 (Woody) / unstable. I'm using the Blackdown version of Jdk1.4, which I retreived via apt-get. I'm not absolutely certain what I've got running ODBC; I also got it via apt-get. As mentioned, the tools odbcinst, ODBCConfig, and DataManager are all installed on my system.
I'm really confused by this problem, since all the advice I've been able to find has helped other people, yet I'm still lost!
Thanks,
DustyAfter running ldd on libJdbcOdbc.so, I realized I had to make a couple of symlinks from odbc.so.1 in /usr/lib to odbc.so.

Hi,
I´m trying to install Oracle 9i on a PC with Suse 9.2.
when I put the first CD it comes with this error:

I´ve seen that there was a similar issue in 2004 and I´ve trying to do what it says but it didn´t work this time.

Could everyone help me to install Oracle??? I´ve been trying it for a few days and doesn´t work.
Regards,I had same problems long time ago. Ok, I try to remember.
First I read the recommandation. You need a special GLIBC-Library to support the JAVA 1.1.8 runtime environment.
Some of the Oracle9i tools are compiled with gcc 2.95 compiler.
You may need gcc_old for SLES9 for linking of those tools.
gcc_old-2.95.3-175.2.i586.rpm is included in SLES 9 SP2 CD1
For Suse you can obtain a package called orarun. You will get further support for installing, starting and stopping ORACLE. Please look at http://ftp.novell.com/partners/oracle/docs/9205_sles9_install.pdf.
Good luck.
