I have the same problem with ebuynow. I bought a Sharp skype camera the first week of October, and have only gotten a run-around from ebuynow. Sure, they respond to my 'tickets' asking where my order is, only to tell me it is once again delayed. I'm starting to think this company is scamming everyone. I don't want excuses and delays, I want my camera I paid for. Skype should be ashamed to be affiliated with such a poorly run company. Someone should start a class action lawsuit against them stealing our money and not shipping any product.

Per the advice of Chad at Best Buy (Maine Mall, South Portland, Maine) I bought a Freetalk Conference HD Camera for my P Panasonic Plasma/3D TV (TC-P50ST30) to use with Skype. There are two problems: 1) no video output. As I began to research this problem this is a KNOWN issue - even at the Tech level at Best Buy. Apparently they don't pass this information along to the sales force. Problem #2: audio output only through the TV speakers, not the home theatre system.
As to issue #1 - Freetalk support suggested that I update the firmware. Great idea, except they assumed that I would update through a PC. I have a Mac. No response to date on how to update the firmware via a Mac.
Issue #2 - anyone have any ideas?
I wouldn't recommend this webcam to anyone, not even my worst enemy. I have paid $130 and spent hours trying to get it to work, I can return it to Best Buy but they have no other webcam for use with a TV that they sell (how does THAT work?) Any suggestions for an alternate product?

#1 - Best bet is to find a friend with a PC that will help you out.
#2 - Look in the manual for your TV on how to use the ARC (Audio Return Channel) HDMI port with your reciever.

would the FREETALK conference HD camera for Panasonic TVs would work with my Panasonic Blu-Ray with Skype built-in?

I would not recommend as I purchased the Panasonic BDT110 blu ray player and freetalk conference webcam combo from the Skype shop and the video does not work on the webcam. I have received zero technical support from either the freetalk manufacturer and was instructed by Panasonic to buy their TY-CC10W webcam.

I have a MacBook Pro Retina display: 15.4-inch late 2015 with OS X Mavericks install, only on second week.
Insight works on FaceTime, Skype, but yahoo program does not show insight cam in dropped down.
Now when I got my new MacBook Pro, I down loaded all new Skype (worked tested), FaceTime (Worked Tested), Yahoo (not worked)
Fix:
With the new Maverick you have to use there messager program Version 8.0 (4218). Once I add my yahoo account video works again.
It also supported AOL, AIM, Google Talk, Jabber.
Guess I miss it frist time... hope this helps...

FIX:
1. You need Time Machine
2. Go to folder /Library/CoreMediaIO/Plug-Ins/DAL/
3. Copy AppleCamera.plugin to good place (usb memory stick is the best place).
4. Go to Time machine in date that skype work fine.
5. Change AppleCamera.plugin with file from Time Machine
6. Restart system, Now skype need to work with camera.
If that doesnt pass,

Use FreeTalk for Skype for Business usage?

I do not know how to start a new chat so throwing this in here. I want to find ou about the free talk adapter for home phones. Can this be used for a business phone too? I have two business phones and do not really need another, but would like to do skype calling from my phones as I have complaints from people I call using the computer and hope useing a phone would correct some of the problems. Please someone reply. Thanks!

Panasonic TV and Skype Camera only send video for ...

I just bought a TCP50ST50 TV and the TY-CC20W camera for Skype. Incoming video is fine. Audio in and out is fine. Sending video lasts for 5 seconds, then the camera turns off. I hit the ok button on the remote and the video starts sending again for about 5-10 seconds, then turns off, hit the ok button, working again. Terrible way to have a video chat between grandparents and grandkids. Please help...

Lots of luck getting your problem fixed. Skype will tell you it is Panasonic'c problem and Panasonic will tell you it is Skype. You have a great deal of company and if anyone knows of a class action suit I would like to know. The error "the far end party cannot receive video" just bounces off the clueless script reading tech support who just answer questions with moronic questions of their own. This has seriously turned me off buying any other Panasonic product for the rest of my life. Can't I get some redress for all the prominent Skype hype on all three products, TC-P50GT30, DMP-BDT310 and TY-CC20W, no small bit of cash when purchased. Crimony

How can i change the setting for audio-video for my face time to built in only so i can have my skype camera ?

The last few days my I lost the ability on Skype to be seen by the other party ... I can see them but they cannot see me. At the same time my Face Time sent me some messages error.
When I open my Skype and go to Preference and go to audio/video I see my image ... and when I go back to make a call the camera is off (no light). When I look at the bottom where I can have a drop down arrow I have Face Time (built in).
On my other Macpro (that work well) I have at the same place built-in only.
Cannot change anything on my MacBook air ... no drop in.

Skype camera option is grayed out

I'm using Mac OS X Yosemite version 10.10.3. Skype version 7.9 Whenever I call, the camera option is grayed out. I went to preferences > audio / video and the option for camera drop down list is grayed out. Can someone help please?

there may be other options. If the report is ALV based, you can choose the export button from the ALV toolbar. There you have the options "Local file" and if you are on 6.40 SP 15 or higher "XML export". With "Local file" you can save the report i.e. to a excel file in the file system of your PC. It saves the data but not the visualization. Therefore it might be required to do some tune. The "XML export" option is more sophisticated because it presaves the visualization.

Skype camera model cy-stc11000 no audio

I have a sansung smart tv model un60d8000 connected to a Denon home theater system. Sansung camera cy-sctc1100 connects well, hover no retun sound fom 2nd party. No audio from home theater speakers. Sansung support horrible. Passed along to several groups but no answer. Basically they said get a new home theater system Any help?

The Skype Application on Samsung has been designed so that the Skype audio always comes out of the TV speakers. The reason for this is that if the audio came through your surround sound system, you would get terrible echo and howling whilst on a Skype call.
If you increase the TV volume whilst on a Skype call, you should be able to hear the person you are calling.

Facetime application camera VS Skype Camera app. (Macbook Pro)

I currently dislike the way the Skype app or anyother non-apple made apps look when you use the built in camera with it. I've taken two pictures with my mac, one on Chatroulette (I rarely use that site, but just wanted to take a quick photo so i could discuss what my thoughts are about this.
Now i'm a 'new' Mac user. I've used Windows all my life up until September when i bought my Macbook Pro (Satisfied owner).
The thing is, when i use any of the Apple made camera applications the camera will be zoomed in. (Just like i want it to be). But when you go on any other apps/sites where using your camera is needed, (Like Chatroulette, or skype) you're zoomed out. which i don't like. as the camera because 'mirrored' like when you take a picture of yourself using the iPhone front camera.
I'd love a way to use the Facetime camera app look for my Skype. Is it possible?
PS: tell me if you want me to explain some more. as this may be hard to understand.

I think firewire is your only shot. See if you can get it working in Photobooth. I'm going to say if you can't get it there, there's not much hope.

it works in facetime and photobooth but in skype it says no camera
I tried a lot of triks with skype - but it is Mac OS issue
how can I resolve it?
maybe cancel update and returns to 10.8.4?

I found this in another post. A Skype for Mac engineer explains the problem in more detail and explains that the Skype engineers are working with Apple to fix it.

Should I Freetalk or Skype phone?

Hi,
Can I use my regular cordless phones using Freetalk to make my Skype calls (I have an annual subscription to Canada)? I have my own Linksys wireless router with a parental control filter/router called iboss.
Also, I don't know if it would be easier if I just get a Skype phone instead. I currently use Vonage (voice IP phone) with my own cordless phones & answering machine. I don't know what's the best way to utilize my Skype capability.
What I'm trying to achieve is-
1. use Skype for all my phone needs (US and Canada).
2. be able to use my own answering machine.
3. if possible, to use my own 3 cordless phones.
4. be able to use my own router.
Please give me your expert advice on the options that I have.

Skype Camera for Sony XBR65X900A

Hi, I would like to use Skype with my Sony XBR65X900A but I am confused what camera to use.
I bought the Logitech HD Webcam C615 and hooked up on the TV but TV says it is not compatible. Went to the Sony Store and the one advertised there it is discontinued. I am sure there should be a model I could use, does anybody know what model would be for sure?
