By default, WLDF stores harvester and instrumentation data in the file store. WLDF can be configured to use a data source to store this data in a database. This is transparent to clients such as wlnav, which access the data through the accessor interface.

Mapping TOOL to IDL

Anyone,
Here's the situation: I have a Library that was generated when
I imported a .pex file(that was created from the idl) into the Forte
env. This Lib has Structs, Structs of Structs (sequence of structures)
and a control class. In the control class I have a method with two
parameters of type StructStruct. Another Forte class method has the
same two parameters but they are of type Array of... I want to map the
Array of type from the calling method to the StructStruct type of the
interface method so when I call the interfaace method there is no type
mismatch error ..

I am a little confused right now... so I turn to you for help!

It details how to do a message split using the Graphical Mapping Tool. WHich is exactly what I want!
But then I found this on help.sap.com:

I have a simple mappling split where I want to take a file containing multiple materials and send them one by one to a PROXY into SRM. To send to proxy I want to use the HTTP adapter which is not listed above. BUT if I read it correctly it will work, as long as I dont try to do the interface determination based on the mapping.
Is this correct, that it will work I mean? I think so but not sure about the wording in the sentence above, and wanted to check before I go destroy my mapping.

Hi,
If your scenario is simple and straight fwd like from one source to one target then you can split message without BPM. As Priyanka said in the message mapping go to Message Tab and set the target message occurance to unbounded. Then in the Interface Mapping in the target interface section you will find the occurance in the last column, change occurance to unbounded.
While doing configuration you have to go for Enhanced Interface Determination thats it.
Provided you are above sp14, incase of any lowere SP'a you will not even able to activate your mapping program as it will expect ABSTRACT interface to do multimapping.

Bug in exists() function of XI Graphical Mapping Tool?

Hi!
If I connect a source field with the exists() function in XI Graphical Mapping Tool and the tag exists it returns TRUE, otherwise it returns FALSE, so everything works as expected.
But I have to connect a user-defined function with exists(). The user-defined function will either calculate a value or set Resultset.SUPPRESS.
If there is a value the exits() function returns TRUE, however if Resultset.SUPPRESS is set it does also return TRUE! This looks to me like a bug in exists() function. Shouldn't it always return FALSE if the input is Resultset.SUPPRESS?

Ok, so it's not a bug and the exists() function is working as expected.

Yes, that's how I actually solved the problem. The UDF was used at several places where the ResultList.SUPPRESS output was needed. So I copied the UDF and changed it so that the output was TRUE or FALSE instead.

Mapping tool creates new columns one at a time

Hi All,
I'm using Kodo 3.2.2 with MySql 4.1. I have a fairly large table (over
2million rows) representing one persistent class. I need to add several
new fields to the object, which will require a refresh mapping on the
database to add new columns for the fields.
It seems when I run refresh mapping on the database, Kodo is adding each
new field individually in seperate ALTER TABLE statements, rather than
adding all the columns in one ALTER TABLE statement.
With MySQL and large tables, this can really increase the time required to
refresh the mapping - I've tried with MSSQL and that database must handle
ALTER TABLE commands differently because it doesn't take a fraction of the
time that MySQL takes.
Is this a bug (I doubt it), but rather a feature improvement?

Thanks Abe for the reply - I've been meaning to look at the process of
creating SQL scripts to perform the refresh mappings on our databases.
I'll have a look at this process before we talk contracting!

Which can take source XML & Target XML and upon doing graphical mapping

I don't think there is any tool which will make use of graphical mapping to create an XSL Mapping.
But the point is, if you are creating a graphical mapping, why you need XSL?

BPM has no special mapping tool. You can use Java, ABAP, XSLT and graphical Mapping (Message Mapping) at XI, for any case - BPM or not. 3rd Party has nothing to do with BPM or Mapping. That means a non SAP system.

Mapping tools ?

Hi,
Most of my flows are "IDoc -> file" or "file -> Idoc", and I need to manage several transcodification tables for different countries (I prefer a DDIC table to FixValue or Value mapping) and with an amount of Business systems (more than 300).
Before this week, I used Graphical mapping... but with some difficults to manage correctly several levels of IDoc segments. Graphical mapping is easy to use when there are one or two "0...unbound" segments but no more. And you cannot have an easy access to a DDIC (need to use an RFC in BPM).
Since I'm trying to use abap mapping... but with some difficults to manage correctly the creation of an "0..unbound" messages, in order to distribute them to one or several receivers. Abap mapping is esay to use when there is only one receiver (no management before a block "Multiline to single line"; and it is interresting for requests on DDIC tables (very easy). But it seems there is some differences between a testing with tcode "sxi_mapping_test" (thus in foreground ==> easy to debug) and with the execution of the scenario (thus in background ==> difficult to debug).
I don't know yet the XSLT mapping and the Java mapping (a complete one, not a java function inside graph mapping).
Inside XI 3.0, for such flows, is there a mapping tool which is better than the other with IDocs?

You can call Java programs from XSLT mapping.
So any lookups you can code in Java and call it from XSLT program.

we have strange problem in File2BAPI Scenario that in Message-Mapping no tools are available. I mean this smal row where you e.g. arrange automaticall dependencies and show lines between the fields - i have no clue if these tools have a name.
Can somebody help?

which source filed is mapped to which target field if this is what you are searching for then....
you can find a rectangle box in the mapping tool ...which have the option of show all .... which shows the mapping links

How to enable message mapping tools in design integration buldier?

The message mapping tools like 'Map selected fields and substructures if names are identical', 'Clear mapping', 'Data flow editor', 'Text Preview', 'Dependencies', etc are not enabled in our PI. The version of PI is PI_BASIS 2005_1_700 and the java version installed on PI server is 1.4.2. Is it something to do with compatibility or options to be enabled in some settings? Please help.

When i want to use mapping tool in middleware for the backend adapter, after mapping the fields, during activation i get the error:
Referential integrity between node DETAILS and it's parent is not complete.
Referential integrity between node LOCATION and it's parent is not complete.
What does that mean? How can I solve this?

Design approach help : BIC Mapping Tool Conversion

Design approach:
we know that BIC mapping tool can be used for EDI to XML conversion. also i know that its a Any to any converter.
But we prefer EDI to EDI XML conversion only via this tool and do the mapping in SAP PI as it would be easy to do mapping change if any in PI than redeploy the mapping in module location every time.
My question is:
we know that sender file adapter supports FCC for max of 3 hierarchy levels.
Can we make it a practice of accepting requirements in SAP PI which has complex Flat file structure (more than 3 levels). and use BIC mapping tool to convert the Complex flat file Structure (with more than 3 levels) into PI required format and proceed with the mapping and Configuration. (Note: hear the assumption is that the organisation has BIC Mapping tool procured for some EDI message scenario's ).
or is it best practice to ask the Source system to supply flat files strictly in Header,with 1 line item format?
Suggestions would be deeply appreciated.

I am very well aware of that. we have Seeburger SFTP adapter installed in our PI system. and for EDI conversion we use BIC for converting to XML and deploy the module in the adapter level.
Now my question is that: weather is it the rite way to start accepting requirement from source which has complex flat file structure (non edi messages) and using BIC module in adapter to convert it into XML and proceed with configuration or better to ask the source system to send the flat file in a format which is accepted by our file adater FCC.
what are the drawbacks/bottlenecks we see in using BIC module for converting non EDI complex flat files into XML format? in PI

Reverse mapping tool in 3.0.1 ignores "-schemas" option

I believe I have discovered a bug in the 3.0.1 version of the reverse
mapping tool.

Note the first line of logging output here: the schema is listed as "all"
instead of the limited scope I had specified.
This run eventually crashes due to the fact that the account which I am
running the mapping tool in has access to thousands of tables, and thus
eventually the JVM runs out of available heap.
My workaround is to fall back to 3.0.0.

Thanks for the report. We noticed this ourselves a short while ago.
The bug will be fixed in 3.0.2.
