Hi again Andieco, It is good to hear back from you! If your computer is not freezing when you are referring to a white circle, there may be an issue with the touch screen software installed on your computer. To correct this, I suggest re-installing all of the original software and hardware drivers that first came with your computer. This can be done by following the steps in this document on Using Recovery Manager to Restore Software and Drivers (Windows 8), and then update the software by Using HP Support Assistant (Windows 8). If the white cursor will not stop blinking after performing the steps in the documents above, I recommend returning your system back to a previous restore point to before the issue occurred. This can be done by following the steps in this document on Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 8).
Should the problem continue, I suggest performing a backup and recovery of your operating system. This can be done by following the steps in this resource on Backing Up Your Files (Windows 8), as well as Performing an HP system recovery (Windows 8). This should return your system back to factory defaults.

Wheel next to faces will not stop spinning

So iPhoto was merrily plugging along when, the other day, I noticed that the update wheel next to faces began to spin...and spin...and spin. I quit iPhoto and, much to my chagrin, the wheel returned.
The wheel continues to persist, even after I have wiped out all my faces. There's an empty corkboard and yet the wheel continues to spin. It did the initial scan fine, yet persists with the updating wheel.
Very frustrating! I think other people have mentioned the problem to some degree, but I'm posting my experience (and unsuccessful fix attempts)
Any advice???
I have attempted the following "fixes":
Trashed the two faces db files and allow faces to rebuild.
Trashed the iphoto plist preferences files
Rebuilt the entire iphoto library from automatic backup.
Repaired disk permissions.

well looking at this thread (http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2123582&start=275&tstart=0) i could solve the problem, but partially.
what i did:
1- got the iPhoto library rid of movies by exporting them to another folder.
2- reindexed iPhoto library with iPhoto Library Manager.
it worked right away.
but after finding a lot of photos to have the faces on it confirmed, iPhoto quit suggesting faces - although there are still a great lot of photos yet to have their faces confirmed.

Try system preferences>desktop,click desktop tab. Click the Apple folders, iPhoto, or folders. Click the pic you want on the icon, it should put the pic as your wallpaper. You can change the picture if you change picture if you click it and the time. Unless I don't understand your question. ATB

HT1414 I had an update to do, did the update and was doing the setup. when the question Apple ID security came up, I check not now and hit next, but it will not continue anywhere

Entering values in TableMaintenance,cursor does not stop at error record ?

Very Good Morning!
When creating new entries in Table Maintenance, Cursor does not stop at the error record. It display's an error where the error is. But, cursor will skip to the first field of the record.
Ex : Sales Org, Mater, Sales Obj %, Frist arr date.
Suppose these are the fields available and I want to create a new entry.
When i enter incorrect value in Sales Obj %, it is displaying error message saying that i need to enter correct value. But the Cursor is skipping away to the first field Sales Org.
PLease help what to do...I tried using set cursor. But, I am not sure how to excatly use it and it was not working.
Any help will be appreciated.....

Two: You may have a problem with interference which could be from a TV set, particularly one of the new smart TVs, anything electronic you've either moved into the room or changed its position.   That could include another mouse or trackpad.

Click on the apple in the top left corner of the computer. If it doesn't let you, open another application such as finder, and then click it, then go down the force quit, then click mail and then press force quit.

MacBook Pro has a grey screen with circle and slash and will not start up or start into safe mode.

MacBook Pro has started to get a grey screen with circle and slash and will not start up or start into safe mode. This happened once previously, however, it allowed a safe mode reboot and then worked for a week or so. While utilzing the machine, it started with the spinning beach ball for about 5 minutes, went into a shut down mode and then rebooted and came back up with the grey screen with a circle and slash after a few minutes. For the past three days it has been stuck and will not allow it to boot into safe mode. Any idea or suggestions?

Try starting the MBP with the OPTION key down. If you see two HDD icons, select the recovery Icon. From the 4 option menu, select Disk Utility. Select Disk Utility>First Aid and run Verify and Repair.
If you cannot get into the recovery partition, make an appointment at an Apple store genius bar.
