Re-hiring and Payroll!

Dear all!
I have to face a problem involving all employees who have re-hiring date. I mean they separated before and then one day they joined again.
My example is:
Employee A joined on 01.02.2009. and the A separation on 25.09.2010. Then A re-hiring on 04.10.2010.
However when I running PY for current month (Oct 2010) the PY run again from the first day of him in this company. I mean from the 01.02.2009. I expect that PY will running from the 01.10.2010. How can I configure them?
At system now, PY will run again from 01.02.2009. And the Current month (Oct-2010) will be divided into 2 parts:
part 1: from the 01.10 to 03.04.2010 and part 2: from the 04.10.2010 to the end of month 31.10.2010. I don't know where to configure to PY will run so.
Please help me solve 2 points above.

I also had same problem in the past and I did what is mentioned by Rémi. You can updated it0003 so it won't go back in the payroll. How to do this? You can do it in PA30 directly in IT0003 and change the fields Earl.pers. RA date and Earl.pers.rec.date. If you need to change any of the field that are block, once you are in PA30 click in Utilities and then on Change Payroll Status. This will allow you to change any field.
If you have more than one emloyee and want to do it all at once you can run program RPUTRBK0.

    Org reassignment is possible on the same day.
    But you can try out on next day, tax will be deducted to the TAN number where employee was on payment date. Hence no impact on tax.
    EPF will also not be impacted if both company has the same trust. If they have seperate trust then it will be splitted. This you can control by changing IT0587 to the latest trust effective from 01.01.2011. In this it will not create any issue.
    Before going ahead test it properly.

    We are currently implementing SAP HCM in ECC 6.00 SP60
    Could you please clarify the following queries:
    1. How can i pay  Internal Instructor / Trainer for few Business Events through Payroll.
    When i create a internal trainer for a Business Event, automatically attendance type gets recorded in IT2002 based on below mentioned configuration, unfortunately for all business events only one attendance type for instructor and attendee gets recorded in IT2002
    SEMIN     AINST     0001     Attendance type for instructor in T554S
    SEMIN     APART     0002     Attendance Type for Attendance in T554S
    But is there any way where i can send different attendance types for different Business Events for a instructor /Trainer? So that in payroll i can query on the attendance type in IT2002 and pay him depending upon the attendance type.
    Else
    Is there any other way where i can pay the internal trainer automatically from TEM to Payroll?

  • CATSDB  and Payroll Hours Reconciliation

    Hello,
    The problem is this: Given a date range from the selection screen, get the hours worked (catshours) from CATSDB and then match it up from the payroll hours (ANZHL) from RT to see if there is any discrepancy.
    To solve this problem, I am reading the RGDIR and looping where PAYDT is between pn-begda and pn-endda and strza eq 'A' (active) and void ne 'V'. Then getting the sequence numbers in an internal table and calling the RT table for all the sequence numbers. Finally adding the ANZHL based on LGART.
    From CATSDB side, select catshours where pernr eq pernr-pernr, workdate between pn-begda and pn-endda, status eq (from select options), awart eq (from select options) into an itab. Then adding up  the catshours in the itab.
    The problem is the data is not matching up..is it because the dates (pn-begda pn-endda  and payroll periods are not matching up?) what is wrong?

    Thanks Manu...I appreciate it.   Actually I realized that I was counting the hours multiple times for the same For Period because of the Off-Cycle Payments/Additional Payments etc.  I will use "PAYTY EQ ' '" to exlclude the additional runs/off cycles etc. Lets see if it works..

    Time and Payroll Gets integrated through Sub Schema XT00
    OT can be paid with the help of Time evaluation by Passing no of hours from TE to Payroll and valuating them in Payroll
    or else in case of No time Evaluation you can Process the overtime thorught IT2010 and process in the payroll
    so wht exactly are you looking at for

    We tried to go around this issue by creating a URL iView and then calling the URL iView from the SAP Backend. So instead of a valid URL we entered the location of the iView (ROLES://...) in the backend. This also, had the same result as before...The URL iView is launched, however the URL iView has the second URL.
    Not sure what is causing this...any ideas?

    Thanks for your reply! I created a resource with fields Window Properties populated with "_blank" and a URL specified in the URL of Resource Object field.  I then create a Service and assigned the Resource to Link Resource and chose "Direct Url launched in separate window" for the Service Type.  I then assigned the Service to the a Subarea. 
    The result was the link did not show up.  When I add the URL to "URL of PCD Page" and "Directory Path" in the Resource area the link shows up but does the above with the URL.

    You didn't say what platform you are using. I have done clustering with 11i (CRM and HR/Payroll) on Solaris 8 using Sun Cluster 3.
    If you look at http://docs.sun.com/db?p=prod/cluster you will see a number of documents on the subject of clustering. The Data Services guide will tell you clustering an Oracle database and TNS listeners.
    If you want to cluster other components to failover (Apache, Concurrent Manager, Forms Server) you will have to write start, stop and probe scripts for Sun Cluster 3 GDS to use.
    Payroll is the 11i Application suite that delivers payroll functionality, though Oracle are not the only ones that provide this type of software.

    Employee Loan in AR can be tied with Element Balance of payroll.you should have to develop some mechism to get the money from AR and update into Payroll element balance, this way you can manage your employee loan without touching bank.
    There is no seeded functionality comes with AR that have such capability.

    I configured Time Management and Payroll....
    Before It created a problem in time management in absence quotas...
    for testing payroll I deactivated schema DAYPR that is time data processing....
    Generated absence quotas correctly
    Now I activated DAYPR still in display log i dont see any integration with time management....
    I changed the time management status to 7 and 9
    still its not integrating with Time Management
    what is that I want to do to integrate time management with payroll

    Under SPRO -> Payroll -> Country Payroll -> Benefits, are the options u must configure.
    Be sure to create wage types copying the standard ones.
    In this case is better that you copy wage types from the standard option
    In table V_T512Z, select infotype 0167 to see permitted wage types, your new wage type must be in this group.
    Value of the wage type will be automatically taken from the benefits cost configuration.
    You must assign a wage type for a plan.

    We are implementing PA & OM modules in HR. Time Management and Payroll is not in the scope of the project.
    I need to know what aspects of Time and Payroll to be configured for PA & OM implementation. The client has hourly and salaried employees. The hourly employees submit their time sheet (excel) to their managers and then it is forwarded to Payroll (Ceridian). The LOA records are also forwarded to Payroll. So the time, absences and pay are not tracked by HR department. All time and pay details are maintained in HR legacy system, but not processed by HR. In this scenario, what aspects of Time Mgmt and Payroll to be configured? Is there a need to maintain IT0007?
    How to set up Payscale Type, Payscale Area, Payscale Group and Level?
    Please guide.

    Do you have plan to maintain It0007 (Planned working time) and IT0008 (Basic pay) as part of PA means do you need to maintain working time and basic pay info for ell employee in SAP system? Ifyes, then you need to configure below steps for IT0007 & IT0008.
    For IT0007:-
    a) Configure public Holiday and Holiday calendar
    b) Define grouping PSA for work schedule
    c) Define grouping PSA for daily work schedule
    d) Define break
    e) Define daily work schedule
    f) Define period work schedule
    g) Defind ESG for work schedule
    h) Set work schedule rules
    i) Generate work schedule and assign to employee in IT0007.
    Path:- SPRO > PM > Time management >
    work schedule (You will get all nodes under that)
    For IT0008
    a) Configure wage type
    b) Define ESG grouping for PCR and CAP
    c) Define pay scale type (Path:- SPRO > PM > PA > Payroll data > Basic pay > Define pay scale type)
    d) Define pay scale area ((Path:- SPRO > PM > PA > Payroll data > Basic pay > Define pay scale area)
    e) Define pay scale group & level (Path:- SPRO > PM > PA > Payorll data > Basic pay > Define pay scale group & level or SM30 >T510)
    Then you can maintain IT0008 info for employee.
