Not very computer savy old man has the opposite question. How can I a delete an email from either laptop or iPhone and also have it deleted on the other automatically?
Jumping between the compaq laptop with vista and new iPhone 3Gs is driving me nuts.

With an IMAP account which is designed for this. With an IMAP account, all server stored mailboxes are kept synchronized with the server with each email client used to access the account.

You can't. It doesn't work that way.
the new album that you created doesn't contain a copy of the actual photo. It contains a pointer to that photo. If you delete it from the camera roll, you will delete it from the album that you created as well. Albums that you create on the iPad in the Photos app are for local organization only and cannot be transfer or imported to your computer, because there really are no photos in those albums

So the first account is really "yours" and you are setting her up with her own account? It helps to know this because if both are "hers" then there isn't an issue with her having full access to both accounts. If in 10 years she moves 2000 miles away and she is pretty much independent then you may not want her to have full access to your AppleID just so she can authorize a device.

You can only delete them one at a time on the iPad. If you have an IMAP email account, go to your email in on the server using a web browser and select as many as you can at a time and delete them that way. That action will be reflected on the iPad. In IMAP - whatever you do on one device syncs across all devices. If you have POP email - start deleting one at a time.

How can I delete multiple emails on my Samsung Stratosphere at once? I use AOL and when I delete the emails off of my computer, they do not delete from my phone. When I go to the trash folder on my Stratosphere, I can check individual emails and then hit "Menu" and "Delete", but if I hit the "Menu" button before selecting any e-mails, then I see the "Delete all" button, but it's greyed out, so I cannot select it. There's also a "Restore All" button next to the "Delete all" button, and it's also greyed out. So, currently the only way I can delete the 100's of e-mails in my trash is to put a check mark next to each one, which is painful. Anybody else have this problem or know of a solution?

You can't. Return the phone for a refund, if you can, because without the previous owner's Apple ID/Password, you will not be able to re-activate the phone. It will be useless to you.
