If you want to change the state of an indicator at different locations
of your program you must create (one or more) local variables of your
indicator (right mouse click).
Then you can read and write the indicator. This means the indicator is
also an control.
Doing so you can consider your indicator as a variable having its
memory on the front panel.

Technically you are writing to the value of the indicator. Just because you can read from it doesn't mean that it is a control. The best way to explain this is to have you create a property node by rightclicking on the indicator and selecting create>>property node. This will give you the ability to manipulate properties of a control OR an indicator. The local variable is just reading the value property of the control or indicator. Hope this helps. I am sure others might chime in.

It's good to read Antoniad's post. It reassures me that I can use my new iPad as an international communication device which is the reason I purchased the thing. However, I called Verizon today (my provider of cellular data) who told me that I can't just pop in a SIM card as you suggested. He also said that he was from the "Pre-Pay" division of Verizon and he was certain that I couldn't do what I planned to do. I was extremely disappointed as I had called Apple prior to buying the iPad and I read the algorhythm on the website for choosing an iPad before purchasing. Those sources were quite specific and the information seemed clear. I would be able to use my iPad to communicate through cellular connections while traveling on the road, literally, abroad. I was told that I could pop in a data card wherever I was, just as you indicated in your message above, and voila I was good to go. The Verizon rep definitively rained on that parade, but said that I might be able to do this if I have a "Post-Pay" account, a different area of Verizon. I haven't had the chance to talk to this division yet, so I looked to Apple's Support for answers. Maybe I will find out that I can use my iPad as an international communication device while traveling on the road afterall, however, it appears I may need a different type of account (Post-Pay), something I was never warned about. Can I switch to this kind of account? I don't know. I have to find out. If you have any information about this issue, it would be good to share since I strongly suspect there are others who bought the iPad for the same purpose that I have.

Krishna.I did create a rule to determine if anyone coming through time eval is a new hire based on vacation elig. date in IT0041. It compares Today to the vacation elig. date and if they match, set a time type indicator to 1. I also added another decision to determine if they were a part time employee and pro-rate their quota entitlement based on what's in their IT0007 weekly working hours. Instead of setting the time type indicator to 1, I recalculated based on a percentage of 40 hrs/wk and then updated the time type to that percentage. In my quota generation rule I use that time type as a multiplication factor to recalculate their new pro-rated amount rounded up to the nearest whole number.

Steploop and table contol is inevitable in certain transactions. When we run BDC for such transactions, we will face the situation: how many visible lines of steploop/tablecontrol are on the screen? Although we can always find certain method to deal with it, such as function code 'NP', 'POPO', considering some extreme situation: there is only one line visible one the screen, our BDC program should display an error message. (See transaction 'ME21', we you resize your screen to let only one row visible, you can not enter mutiple lines on this screen even you use 'NP')
Now with the help of Poonam on sapfans.com developement forum, I find a method with which we can determine the number of visible lines on Transaction Screen from our Calling BDC program. Maybe it is useless to you, but I think it will give your some idea.
Demo ABAP code has two purposes:
1. how to determine number of visible lines and how to calculte page number;
(the 'calpage' routine has been modify to meet general purpose usage)
2. using field symbol in BDC program, please pay special attention to the difference in Static ASSIGN and Dynamic ASSIGN.
Now I begin to describe the step to implement my method:
(I use transaction 'ME21', screen 121 for sample,
the method using is Call Transation Using..)
Step1: go to screen painter to display the screen 121, then we can count the fixed line on this screen, there is 7 lines above the steploop and 2 lines below the steploop, so there are total 9 fixed lines on this screen. This means except these 9 lines, all the other line is for step loop. Then have a look at steploop itselp, one entry of it will occupy two lines.
(Be careful, for table control, the head and the bottom scroll bar will possess another two fixed lines, and there is a maximum number for table line)
Now we have : FixedLine = 9
LoopLine = 2(for table control, LoopLine is always equal to 1)
Step2: go to transaction itself(ME21) to see how it roll page, in ME21, the first line of new page is always occupied by the last line of last page, so it begin with index '02', but in some other case, fisrt line is empty and ready for input.
Now we have: FirstLine = 0
or FirstLine = 1 ( in our case, FirstLine is 1 because the first line of new page is fulfilled)
Step3: write a subroutine calcalculating number of pages
(here, the name of actual parameter is the same as formal parameter)

How to insert delay without using loops, and how can I use variable to store data in labview
Hi all,
I am new to Labview and I realized that quite often I am in condition to require a delay beween two functions or elements.. how can we insert a delay in such cases?
I know how to use delays in a loop. but don't know how to inser some time delay between two elements.
I have one more question, I know its a bad practice to post 2 questions in 1 thread.
How can I use a temporary variable to store data, So far I am storing it in an indicator by making it invisible in front panel and making local variable of that indicator, is it the right way to do it ?
Thanks in advance.Generally, LV doesn't have variables in the same sense that most languages do. You can use indicators to perform the same function as variables, but as Adnan pointed out, you run the risk of having race condition and it creates data copies, which is a problem if you have a lot of data. In most cases, you should use wires to perform the function of variables, which is to store data and make it available to the different functions in your code. Instead of thinking about variables, you need to think about data (something like "I have the data coming out of this function. Where does it need to go?").

I need to make a report of good/bad parts in daily an mothly basis, I want to put this data on a indicator but a dont want that this value get lost went the operator turn of the machine at the end of the shift. Does anybody knows how can i use some retentive variable? or other solution?
This is pretty comnonly done with saving the values to an ini file. A more professional version would be saving to a network database so everyone could have access to the information at any time and without needing to run your program.

i've MacBook Pro (version 10.6.8) and iPhone 4 (version 4.3.5) so how can i use FaceTime on Mac as well iPhone 4 but tried so many times if i try to Facetime call from Mac to iPhone 4 its showing missed call on my iPhone there is no ringing tone try from iphone 4 to Mac same missed Facetime call indicated on Mac's FaceTime so settings also correct i cann't call to both devices so is there any invitation we need to be send to iPhone or Mac? please suggest me.

How can I use 2 Apple IDs in Itunes? I have 2 IOS Devices. They each have there own AppleID. What is the proper way to sync both of them to Itunes? I wanted my teenager's AppleID to be different from mine so that she couldn't charge stuff to my AppleID, therefore I created me another one. Now when I go to Sync either device, it tells me that this IOS device can only be synced with one AppleID. Then I get a message to erase it, not going to do that, lol. If I logout as one ID and login as the other, will it still retain all synced information on the PC from the first IOS device? If I can just log in out of the AppleID, then I have no problem doing that as long as the synced apps, music, etc stays there for both. I am not trying to copy from one to the other, just want to make sure I have a backup for the UhOh times. If logging in and out on the same PC of multiple AppleIDs is acceptible then I need to be able to authorize the PC for both devices. Thanks for the help. I am new to the iOS world.

I forgot to mention that she has a PC at her house that she also syncs to. Would this cause a problem. I am already getting that pop up saying that the iPod is synced to another library (even though she is signed in with her Apple ID to iTunes) and gives the pop up to Cancel, Erase & Sync, or Transfer Purchases. My question arose because she clicked on "Erase & Sync" by mistake when she plugged the iPod to her PC the first time. When the iPod was purchased and setup, it was synced to my PC first. When she went home, she hooked it up to her PC and then she erased it by accident. I was able to restore all the missing stuff yesterday using my PC. However, even after doing that it still told me the next time I hooked it up last night that the iPod was currently synced with a different library. Hopefully, you can help me understand all this. She wants to sync her iPod and also backup her iPod at both places. Both PCs have been authorised. Thanks -

If you are just visiting Singapore, then leave the account as it is. If you have moved there, then view your account using the iTunes app on a Mac or PC and change the country/region to your current location and address. If you do not have a bank card, you can fund your account using iTunes gift cards if available in Singapore.

The Pages app is also compatible with MS Word. Unlike some of the others mentioned, the document is actually stored on the iPad as opposed to 'the clouds'. Again, most of those mentioned are cut down versions of MS Word.
Stand back and look at this constructively; do you need to regularly access to the document from more than one computer/device without the need to keep amending your document on your computer and sending it to your iPad? If so, Documente to Go etc may be the best choice. -

You shouldn't have to put in a credit card, no, but from time to time the iTunes Store seems for some reason to try to insist on one. If just confirming your mailing address doesn't stop it from complaining, go here:
