I didn't want to open a new thread since I am running into a similar issue. If anyone thinks that I should open a new thread, I will do that.
I have setup the ERPi and my target application is a planning app. I have setup the data rule mapping for all the dimensions but it doesn't show me the Currency dimension. The EBS data pulls Functional Currency USD, but I want to load it to Local. When I run the data load, I can see the data in TDATASEG table in EPM_ERPI schema but I don't see the data in my Essbase cube. If someone can breifly explain how is this all connected, that would be great.
- If FDM is selected in ERPi, how does ERPi know which location in FDM to load to.
- If data load is successfull from ERPi, how do I validate the data in FDM or ESSBASE. I don't see the data in FDM and data is not there in Essbase.
- How does ERPi load data to Essbase database, which is through a Planning app since I don't see a Essbase connection in ODI.
- Are there any logs in ERPi that I can check which would show me the errors or data load success.

Hi,
I'm afraid that this is large problem... and it's not related to J2ME.
The first question is whether you want to use some map provider and its API or you have a bitmap and you want to place a cursor of your position in the map.
In the first case find an API to use (I don't know any). In the second case you have to understand what the GPS coordination mean, know projection type of the used map, then find and use the transformation formulas to transform GPS coordinates to map coordinates and vice versa.

Regarding the projections - my map I tried to use in my application uses Lambert conic conformal projection http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lambert_conformal_conic_projection
but it may differ from map to map.

How to Stop Versions and Return Save-As

Death to Versions, Long Live Save-As!
I got rid of Versions and got back Save-As for Pages, Numbers, Keynote, and Preview. It also works for TextEdit.
I have done a clean install of Lion from a bootable Flash drive, reinstalled iWorks 09, refused to let iWorks do a software update, and now I have Pages and Numbers without Versions and with Save-As. Once you update iWorks it uses Versions so don't let that happen. Also you can't go back to the original iWorks programs once you update them. It says they do not work on your system when you reinstall them. You have to reinstall Lion fresh then install iWorks. I use manual updates and I remove iWorks 09 update. It is annoying but it works. No full screen support which I never used anyway as I have multiple screens.
I have also deleted the Preview program and installed the Preview from Snow Leopard. Now that is also without Version and Save-As. I don't use TextEdit but I read you can also take that from Snow Leopard and it works. The details of how to do this are on these websites:

I have made a summary:
1. From Snow Leopard, make a copy of these:
FILE: /Applications/Preview.app
FILE: /Applications/TextEdit.app
FOLDER: /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/MeshKit.framework/
2. Rename the Snow Leopard Preview.app to “Previews.app” and the old TextEdit.app to TextEdits.app (Adding an S at the end)
3. Copy Previews.app and TextEdits.app to the Applications folder.
4. Copy “MeshKit.framework” to /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/
5. Download AppZapper from appzapper.com. You can use the free version 5 times, you only need to use it twice.
6. Empty your trash. This helps for the final step.
7. Drag the existing Lion Preview program to AppZapper.
8. It will tell you that it cannot delete a system App unless you change the settings. Do that.
9. Drag the existing Lion Preview program to AppZapper which deletes it.
10. See if it automatically uses this Leopard Previews to open images. If not then set this as the default program for each image type.
11. Go to the trash and collect the files for the Lion Preview program and store them in a folder in case you need them again.
12. Drag the existing Lion TextEdit program to AppZapper which deletes it.
13. Set this Leopard TextEdit as the default program for each document type you want it to use.
Now for what I do which uses Pages, Numbers and Preview, I never see Versions (thank God) and Save-As is my little friend again. 3 days to sort this out.
If Mountain Lion has not fixed this I will consider going to Windows 8. This is madness.

Apple don't force me to use Apple. I happen to have hardware and files and emails that are all linked to Apple and iWorks. I could use Microsoft if I want to. I'd prefer to use what I am already invested in the way I want it. I don't want to invest more money to make a system that worked for me continue to do so. I found a solution and I shared it.
Apple do force me to use Versions if I run the latest update of iWorks on Lion and they do force me to not use Save-As. I have made it clear that this response is for those people who WANT to use iWorks on Lion without Versions and with Save-As. I have seen a forum with over 66,000 views of people looking for this solution. If I could have posted it there I would have. The forum was closed. Those 66,000 people are not you. You don't want this. I get that. Don't be here. Leave this discussion for those that want the particular setup I also want. Free choice. That is what this is about.
There are also forums with people complaining about Preview and TextEdit. They WANT to use these programs with Save-As and without Versions. I don't use TextEdit. I do use Preview and I WANT to use it with Save-As and without Versions. I found a solution that works for me. Therefore I offer a solution for those that want to use it the way I do. I can use other programs. I can view images in a browser. I can use Photoshop to edit images. I can ALSO choose to use Preview the way it was before. I have that choice and Apple have tried to stop that by making Versions compulsory.
If you have a better way to make Snow Leopard Preview the default program for images please tell us all here now. I would like to know as well. I don't mean having to right click and choose Open With. I mean the automatic default program. If Apple allowed me to change my preferences to use Snow Leopard Preview I would have done that. Unfortunately they force my preferences back to Lion Preview against my choice and I had to Zapp it away.

How stopping a version and start a new one from the previous

May be someone could help me to erase my basics questions on Robosource control.
We have to manage several versions of our product documentation and It is not clear how it is managed by robosource control. The documentation tells what can do RBSC (and it seems to be what we need) but they do not explain how to do it (prerequisites, ordered steps, etc), and I do not really succeeded. May be I missed the basics.
All our projects are added to Robosource control 3 from RoboHelp7 Html from a local directory.
In the database, we inserted them in a directory corresponding to a version V01.r01.
I would like to stop this version and start a new one V01.02 with the projects which are V01.01. What is the best way to do this:
Do I just label the directory V01.01 and "Pin" it ? In that way how can I recover all the projects and files that were labelled and pinned for version V01.01, if I need them later ?
Copy and rename directory V01.01 into V01.02 to continue the file modifications without modifiying the same project in V01.01?
My questions are quite similar to Kristen's questions.

How to retrieve version and encoding info from SAX parser

I want to have access to the version and encoding info in a parsed XML document (when using SAX2). Who knows how this works?
If not possible with SAX2, what other solutions are there?

How to load BeginningBalance and movements into HFM via FDM from ERPI

I have a file generated by ERPI with the columns of |AMOUNT|BEGIN_BALANCE_DR|BEGIN_BALANCE_CR|PERIOD_NET_DR|PERIOD_NET_CR|
among many other columns.
How can load them via FDM into the Custom1 dimension in HFM, which contains BeginningBalance, Additions, Disposals, etc.
So basically I will have a trial balance, which I can compare with GL and OBI.

Please check transaction WE60 for IDOC documentation and there are many old threads with information about this IDOC.

How to map text from Request Offering to custom textbox

Hi!
I have new custom Tab in Incident form with new textbox. I need this textbox fill with text added by user on Portal, but I can't figure out how to map user input to this text box. I can't see it in Request Offering form. Also when I create binding from this
form to extension of Incident Class, I can't change older Request Offering mapped to Incidents.
What can I do to make this work correctly?

User's answers from Request OFfering are stored in one field called UserInput. As result:
You can't bind control to specified answer
You can create your own control\converter to parse UserInout field (this is XML text)

How to map a cube to a non-leaf dimension level?

Hi,
I'm using AWM 11.2.0.1.0 and Oracle 11.2.0.2.0 on a CentOS 5.4 64-bit system.
I have a time dimension with levels Year, Month, Day, Hour, Half-Hour and several cubes mapping to the Half-Hour level. Now I'm trying to populate a cube using a time hierarchy Year/Month/Day, i.e., the mapping should be done at the Day level, not Half-Hour.
When adding the time dimension, although I specify that aggregation should be done only on the Year/Month/Day hierarchy, I still see all the levels in the mapping view. And when I try to map the Day level to the fact table, I get the following error:
The transaction is not committable: "Invalid Metadata Objects:
Invalid Object "OLAPIN.SSD_BALANCE.MAP1.DATETIME": "XOQ-01930: The cube dimensionality map has no mapped dimension."What is strange is that this used to work on version 11.1.0.7.0 (I have an example of it right in front of me). Am I supposed to do things differently with the new 11.2 version?

My guess is that this is a result of
BUG 8264467 - REGRESSION FROM 10G : CANNOT LOAD CUBE DATA AT MULTIPLE LEVELS
This was fixed in 11.2.0.1 on the server and may appear to have nothing to do with your problem. Unfortunately there was a bug in the corresponding change in 11.2.0.1 AWM that can cause the symptoms you are having. It may be related to the following AWM bug.
BUG 8889693 - SUMMARY LEVEL MAPPING DOES NOT WORK IF USING DIMENSIONS WITH SURROGATE KEYS
There is an AWM "A Patch" for 11.2.0.1 (Patch 9672534: AWM 11.2.0.1A) that fixed the above bug and several other mapping related problems. You could try this to see if it fixes your problem.

How to use Version and Comments column in Finder

Hi,
in Finder you can choose to show the Version column and also the Comments column.
Can someone please explain how to use these features?
I hope there are some type of configuration managment feature hidden behind this column but I haven't found any info on this when seraching the web. To begin with I'd like to be able to add info to these fields.

Applications can have version numbers, like Safari 5.1.10 or 7, or Image Capture, as above.
Files that the user can write to, may have 'spotlight comments' added via the Finder - Get Info window. Those can be displayed in a Finder listing, as you've noted, and entries will be indexed by spotlight so that they show up in a search of file contents.

How to find version and arch of Oracle client installed

I have sles 10 sp2 x86_64 on which oracle client 10.2 is installed. this installation was not done by me!
so i dont know what version/architecture (32/64 bit) mode of the oracle client is installed on the client.
from sqlplus -V i get only the version which is installed and not whether it is 32 or 64 bit. how can i find that out.

The answer to "why", is that the 11gR2 Client software is the first version that includes syntax so that a 32-bit object is linked.can someone please throw more light on this?

If you want to remove CC from Mac, you can find uninstallers in Applications/Utilties/Adobe Installers. On Windows use Control Panel -> Programs.
What about deleting Adobe ID - you can't delete it. All you can do is to try contact Adobe Support.

How to map 0LOGSYS and 0SOURSYSTEM

I want to upload master data for Profit center
Activated the business content and the 0PROFIT_CTR info source contains 0LOGSYS and 0SOURSYSTEM additionally.
So when I assign the data source 0PROFIT_CTR_ATTR which contains the feilds namely DATEFROM , DATETO, KOKRS, PRCTR, VERAK, WAERS.
The data source doesnt have any related fields for 0LOGSYS and 0SOURSYSTEM so my tranfer rules are partially maintained
So i assigned a constant to 0SOURSYSTEM (The source system id with F4 help) and shall i ignore the 0LOGSYS ??
or what value should it be assigned

Hi Naveen,
You can ignore the 0LOGSYS and leave it un-mapped (if you have the situation as follows): As per SAP 0LOGSYS is used if more than one Source System is grouped to one Source System ID. 0SOURCESYSTEM denotes 1:1 mapping of Source System and Source System ID.
