RE: How to Create Personal number in SAP HR

Hi Guys,
I am new to SAP HR and i want to Create Personnel number in HR, can any one guide me the procedure.
I went to PA30 and entered some 8 digit number and typed in infotype 0105 and subtype 0001 and clicked on create button, but it returns a error saying personnel number is not yet assigned.
can any one tell me how to create a personnel number and assign it to the user.

As I have checked that Number range for generating a new Employee ID is already created in my system. Gone to TCODE PA04 and check that the number range is already created as below:
Number         From Num      To Num           Current Num              Ex

But when i am trying to give the personnel no. for maintaining master data in pa30 for actions for new hiring its giving error saying "could not find interval for number range 07". Here i am getting confused that what no. range i have to take? or which no. range i have to choose? or create new no. range? Please help me out..

Hi ,
To create OM infotype:
1. Go to SE11 and create a structure HRI9XXX (9XXX --> name of the infotype). Add the required fields to this structure and save and activate. then come out of it.
2. Go to PPCI and enter Infotype number (9XXX) and description.
3. Click create.
4. In the infotype category select details for the infotype.
5. Click create button. It should create the infotype.
6. Click on Check. A window with menu will open.
7. In that window navigate to Table Entries.
8. Under table Entries, select T777I and click on change.
9. It opens SM30. Click on Maintain.
10. Select the infotype and add information for "Time Constraint" and "Infotype Per Object Type".
11. Save.
12. Go back to check menu, see if all entries exist. Do not worry last 5 table entries. And you are done

As per my understanding -
Notification - This report sends out notification of dialouge workitems in ready status to the agents and also to substitutes. This is nothing but email in outlook/lotus/any other mail system. The content is decided by the description of task of the dialouge workitem. This is basic functionality along with several other add ons too
Send out WI - One of the option in the above report is to attach an executable attachement . There are three types of attachemnt - execute workitem, display workitem, display inbox. If this is what can be called as 'sending out WI' then yes it sends out WI.
If say; you are using position then as agent determination then it will find the user name attached with that position and send out work item to that user, but it wont derive the email addresses
I understand using position as agent determination
but i dont understand using position in send mail step of workflow. what is the use of putting position in the recipient section of send mail step ?
Coming to the actual question: Maintaining Person is not the solution. For external users, ztable should suffice or use SAP's TVARV table :
is it not possible to use Person as suggested above ? which i am putting in steps below.....
1. Create Person object (I dont know difference btw Person and CP, will check that)
2. Maintain email address of Person object as infotype 0105
3. Place the Person object as required in the heirarchy in Org staffing (PPOMW)
4. insert a step in workflow that will pick that correct Person object as required and read the email address in 0105 and pass it to the SOXNA table container element of workflow
5. Pass this SOXNA container element to the send mail step by putting 'Expression' in the recipient section
This way you can accomplish sending email notification to external email address of non SAP users.
I am doing these steps to check andwill let you know the result.
I cannot use Z table , the client strictly disallows that. I will check in TVARV.

Please follow below steps
(1)Create a class name
SBDSV1 (TRANSACTION) --> New Entries --> Class name (SOME NAME) --> Class type (OT).
2)After entering the above details and saving, the fields Class object name fields   will be blank, make entries as shown below .
1)     Class : BDS_LOC1
2)     Class : BDS_POC1
3)     Class : BDS_REC1
4)     Object name : BDS_CONN00
3)- Now next time logging in to OAOR you can directly refer to this Class name.
4)1)     Go to transaction OAOR, give the class name created.
   2)     Give class type as OT
   3)     Give some name in object key its like sub folder
5) a) Click on create drag down standard doc types will get no. of option chose one
    b) double click on the class name in this new screen.
    c)in the below screen are, you have tabs for details,documentinfo,keywords,create, click on create TAB,
   d)By double clicking on screen you can browse the folder where image is located and select it
   e)Once the image is selected it will be stored in the folder that is created with object key
6) now double click on the image you uploaded & in below screen area select the Details tab, you will get object id,use this object id & code as below

Syntax

Effect: draws a box of the specified size at the specified position.
Parameters: For each of XPOS, YPOS, WIDTH, HEIGHT and FRAME both a measurement and a unit of measurement must be specified. The INTENSITY parameter should be specified as a percentage between 0 and 100.
1. XPOS, YPOS: Upper left corner of the box, relative to the values of the POSITION command.
Default: Values specified in the POSITION command.
The following calculation is performed internally to determine the absolute output position of a box on the page:
X(abs) = XORIGIN + XPOS
Y(abs) = YORIGIN + YPOS
2. WIDTH: Width of the box. Default: WIDTH value of the SIZE command.
3. HEIGHT: Height of the box. Default: HEIGHT value of the SIZE command.

ok i understood u want the img path for maintaing
positions ,jobs , Org units
Path:IMG->Personnel Mgmt->OM->Basic Setting->Maintain Number ranges.
IMG go to Personnel Management -> Organizational Management -> Basic Settings
-> Maintain Number Ranges.
Select subgroup $$O to maintain number range for Org Unit and click on Number range Maintenance. Then click on change Intervals. Now you can create both internal and external number range for Org Unit according to your requirement.
Similarly for Position select subgroup $$S and follow the same process.
