I am seeing the same issue and we are using BES to Lotus. That being said I do not think its something in Exchange.
in my case the contacts were all only the Blackberry Device (World Edition) only and not being synced through the BES server in my case to Lotus. There is plenty of memory free, no filters restricting entries in the address book and again these were all local entries not synced entries.
Battery pull had negative results in restoring contacts. My software version is 4.5.0. Not sure what else is could possibly be however it is something that will drive you nuts.

Try:
- Powering off and then back on your router.
- iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
- Change the DNS to either Google's or Open DNS servers
Public DNS — Google Developers
OpenDNS IP Addresses
- For one user uninstalling/reinstalling iTunes resolved the problem
- Try on another computer/network
- Wait if it is an Apple problem
Otherwise what server are you talking about

Help with Outlook 2010 sync calanders and contacts by iCloud! please help!

I've got an quesstion:
I got Microsoft office 2010 x86 on my windows 7 PC.
With the iCloud program V 1.0.1
I checked all boxes : mail, contacts, calanders/ tasks, bookmarks, photo stream
Now the question is..
When i open my outlook, i can see my mail from my icloud account..
But is there a possible way, that icloud sync my outlook 2010 with the contacts and calenders to?
Because all i can see is my mail, my calander and contacts are empty?
Isnt that what iCloud stand for, auto sync?
Or is the only way to put contacts by checking in iTunes the contacs and calanders??
So its not possible that icloud sync auto, like it sync from iphone 4s to ipad, to icloud.com...
So what i try to say is if you add contact on your iphone 4s whereever you are.. that it auto sync with oudlook 2010 like it does on icloud.com and my ipad 2
same idea as photostream..

i download the sofware update on to my pc and the next thing i know all my contacts are gone, the only things that have come up on the icloud CONTACTS app is the service call numbers thats it, i have no idea what to do.. i have itunes on my desktop and i looked for them there but i still cant find them, i dont have outlook i have VISTA so its hard for me to look for my contacts.
im worried that ive lost them. if anyone has some advice please let me know, im new to this and im having trouble understanding it. Thanks

So i recently was syncing my blackberry to the computer because i had added some new contacts. I had done it before successfully, but this time when i had finished syncing (the comp said it was successful), i could not see the numbers of most of my contacts. I can still see all the names, and the numbers i added before i synced it the second time. I can also still call from my address book even though the numbers do not show up, but the incoming calls do not show the caller ID. Can anyone please help me to figure out what is wrong?

If you have all of the contacts on your computer I would recommend wiping the BlackBerry smartphone. To do this we would need to back up the BlackBerry smartphone. Please open the BlackBerry Desktop Manager and connect your BlackBerry smartphone. Click on the Backup and Restore button and select Back Up. Please note the location where the backup is being saved as we will need to access it later to restore the BlackBerry smartphone.
Once backed up please follow the link below to perform a security wipe of your BlackBerry smartphone.

For "Could not open key/write value" errors when reinstalling try b noir's user tip:
"Could not open key: UNKNOWN\Components\[LongStringOfLettersAndNumbers]\
[LongStringOfLettersAndNumbers]" error messages when installing iTunes for Windows.
The technique can be applied to the branch of the registry mentioned in the error message.
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

Check for previous backups in iTunes. Use iPhone Backup Extractor and extract contacts from iTunes backup if they exist.

I have a unique problem and I'm worried that it may not be fixable but hopefully it is. Here is the long detailed explanation.
I was trying to start setup for an outlook account to sync my business emails to my phone (which I never got around to doing) I noticed that under mail/contacts etc. that there was an exchange account.....with it being early in the AM and still in bed I accidentally deleted it. I noticed immedietly after that my texts were coming in with numbers rather than contact names. I don't usually use the start mail (blue with white envelope) I had it archived away.....because I have the gmail app which was much more user friendly. Whoever set up the exchange account must have been at the verizon store when i bought the phone possibly. I did not do this myself. Anyways I have a few more problems that makes this issue worse....for some time now my iCloud has been saying it does not have the appropriate amount of storage......(And I assume is not backing up my contacts) I've never really had to use iCloud before so I think this may not help either. I looked on gmail and only certain contacts....older ones were on there. I went to a verizon store and he helped me re-add my exchange account which im assuming was through my gmail email (Only email I really use) and certain contacts seemed to pop up. After leaving the store I realized that a lot of the newer contacts I've added were still missing......I'm not sure what else I can do to recover these contacts if anything but I am now up for suggestion. This is basically where I'm at right now.....not totally missing everything but missing a good deal. Also would like to get my cloud up and running again so this doesn't happen again. I haven't hooked to iTunes yet but I never really did that regularly so that might not help either. Like I said I am up for any suggestion......maybe a way to look up my exchange account if by chance it wasn't under my gmail email account......Thanks in advance!

Outlook '07 Calendar Sync fails, please help!

I have an unusual problem with a brand new Blackberry Curve and Desktop Manager 4.3.
Initially, phone and computer (Outlook) synched perfectly. After a week of use, the Outlook Calendar stopped synching. It failed at record 17 with an Application Error. Forcing the user to quit desktop manager and restart it to access anything to do with synching. If I removed Calendar synching from the synch tasks--everything else synched normally.
I thought there must be a bad record on the phone or computer--so I started deleting recent events, synching only events within a range of dates, etc.. Nothing worked. Next step was clearing the database on the phone. Didn't help. Finally called my provider---they couldn't help so they forwarded me to Blackberry support. While talking with Blackberry support I was modifying settings, changing settings back and forth--and suddenly it started synching the calendar again--oddly enough without any kind of special setting.
For a week the phone & computer synched perfectly. Yesterday, the same error returned. Nothing I have done so far has fixed it this time. I've gone back through everything I did previously (I think)--and still, the Outlook 2007 Calendar synch fails at record 17?!?
I'm at a loss. The only clue from the end-user is that just prior to the problem recurring he had updated the Calendar on the Curve--all other Calendar updates were entered in Outlook. But I have cleared the Calendar database on the phone and the problem persists.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

** UPDATE 3 -- FINAL -- PROBLEM FIXED ***
I was able to fix my non-working iTunes Windows Calendar sync by going back to iTunes for Windows v11.1.1.
I used the following steps:
(1) Uninstalled iTunes for Windows (and associated Apple software) using this guide:

(2) Installed iTunes for Windows v11.1.1.11.exe
(Got older version from File Hippo)

(3) Launched iTunes for Windows, then connected iPad via USB port
(4) When iPad was recongized, RESET SYNC HISTORY
-- In iTunes select "Edit", then "Preferences", then select the "Devices" tab
-- click the "Reset Sync History" button
-- click "OK".
(5) Sync the iPad replacing the exiting Calendars on the iPAD
-- click the 'iPad" button at the top-right of iTunes
-- Select the "Info" button at the top
-- Check "Sync Contacts with Outlook", "Sync Calendars with Outlook"
-- Scroll down and in the "Advanced" section click "Replace information on this iPad, Calendars"
-- Click "Sync"

Synced phone for the first time, and all my contacts are gone. Please help

I had to upgrade the iOS to 5. And all of the contacts are gone. Is there a way to recover them?

How did you get the contacts loaded onto the iPhone in the first place?
If you used iTunes that would imply the "source" of contacts was either on your computer (e.g. Outlook) or perhaps through a one-time upload from an e-mail service like GMail. In either case, your contacts should (might) still be where they were when you originally put them onto your iPhone.
If all your contacts were manually entered into the iPhone, then you're out of luck since they are not backed up, unless you set iCloud up to sync your contacts (in which case they'd still be in iCloud).

Have you backupd anytime to the icloud or PC ??
or have you Syncd it with your Gmail account or Outlook express ??
If you have done this you can get back your contacts of ease ...
If not, Im sorry to say that you have to manually put it through, you also have an option to Update the same in Gmail Contact list then download it to your device, that way its more easier .
try to keep a backup for your Data as Apple Provides so many ways to do so ...
