  • Hp 14 d006tx touchsmart laptop

August 30, 2014, I bought HP 14-D006TX touchsmart laptop  bundled with a licensed Win8.1 single language operating system and a HP 1515 all-in-one printer at one of your retailer store here in Dagupan City, Pangasinan namely Joycomp Computers.
In its first week with me, I noticed a tiny dot on the lower right part of the LCD touch screen which at first glance it look like a dust or dirt. I wiped it with a soft cloth but it seem that the tiny dot was stacked inside the LCD touchscreen.
Monday, September 8, 2014, I went to the retailer store where I bought the unit to show what I’ve discovered as well as to inform them that there are times wherein the mousepad of the laptop does not respond as you scroll over and also noted them that the task bar frequently appears while scrolling the mousepad like when your scrolling some documents in MS Word. The retailer store told me that they will forward it to their supplier for check up. Due to this experienced I ask the retailer store for a unit replacement, and they told me that they will try to ask their supplier about my request.
September 11, 2014, the retailer store texted me that my unit was ready for pick up. Their supplier reported that the tiny dot in front of the LCD screen was not covered in the warranty and the mousepad of the laptop is just so sensitive that when your finger is wet like “pasmado” sometimes it’s normal not to respond at once and the frequent appearance of the task bar when scrolling down the mousepad was also normal. Therefore, the supplier did not replace my unit.
A week after, I’m having a hard time in opening and shutting down my unit and there are times that there is no display but the power indicator lit up and when I press the capslock key the light indicator switches on, therefore there is a power but no display at all, so I pressed the power button again and my unit’s power turned off, I pressed again the power button to turn it on, there the unit turned on and had a display. And the start up sound sometimes makes a “grounded-like” sound. So I texted the retailer store about my problem. Again, they advised me to bring the unit to them and forward it to their supplier and had it tested. Again, I asked for a unit replacement; but then again their supplier reported that there is no problem about my unit. They just suggested reformatting the system and making sure that all windows updates be installed. The retailer store did what the supplier was advised them to do.
But still, when I used the unit, there are times that I still experience those problems I first encountered before the unit was reformatted. And got even worse because I also noticed that the unit heats up easily eventhough it was used for a short period of time. And it took me long enough to boot up my unit and unable to shut it down. So I used to press the power button in order to turn it off.
September 30, 2014, I reported these problems to the retailer store, and again they will have to forward my unit to their supplier. After 3 days, the retailer store told me that my unit was forwarded to BITSTOP (your official service center here in Dagupan City, Pangasinan).
Again, I demand for a unit replacement due to these uncomfortable experienced I had with the given unit. But they keep resisted my request because it depends upon the findings of BITSTOP.
October 7, 2014, the retailer store texted me that the unit was ready for pick up, because BITSTOP reported that there were no hardware problem and the overheating of the unit was just normal with HP laptops. They also commented to keep the windows update regularly because they concluded that these causes the booting problems that were encountered. So I texted the retailer store to burn in my unit and install some software I requested and they said “yes”.
October 10, 2014, I picked up my unit, but due to my son’s scheduled exams, I was not able to use my unit at once because I need to tutor my son on his coming 2nd qtr. Exam that will last for a week. In short, I only got the time to use my unit on October 17, 2014. But I used it only for a short period of time…then on October 19, 2014, I noticed something in the upper center of its LCD screen, because the opened window does not appear whole on the upper center. And when you turned it off you will notice that the LCD screen appears to have a curved on the upper center of the screen.
So again, October 20, 2014, I returned the unit to the retailer store and complaint what I have noticed. I started to get mad about it, because there seem to appear different problems with the unit. Again, they forwarded my unit to BITSTOP. I join them so that I can talk personally to the technician who will handle my unit. So while checking my unit, they also encountered booting problems, and I asked why is it that the said problem cannot be eliminated nor resolve and the technician just told me that it’s a windows 8 software bug. Then they asked me, what’s the new problem of my unit, I told them to check on the LCD screen. And after an hour or more they reported that the rubber of the LCD screen was misaligned. And they suggested replacing the panel of the unit.
So we went back to Joycomp Computers (the retailer store), and forwarded the report letter of BITSTOP. Again, I demanded for a unit replacement not only for the panel to be replaced but for the whole unit to be replaced. They just told me we will see. I’m not comfortable with their answer, so I’m letting you know about my case. I fear that if they just replaced the panel, what comes after it? Are there other problems that could arise in the future? I do not trust the unit’s performance already, that’s why I am demanding for a unit replacement.
Honestly, I am not happy, with these unpleasant experienced with your product; those time and effort bringing back and forth the unit to the retailer store plus my transportation fee…huh brought a lot of headache to me and made me feel very disappointed.
I am looking forward that you can help me and grant my request because I believed that your company will not let your customers feel unhappy and dissatisfied. Especially in my case that the unit was bought just recently but already encountered so many problems. I hope I will not regret choosing your brand over other brands. Please act on my case. Prove that customer’s satisfaction is still your main goal.
                      Thank you.

  • Can I attach multiple external monitors to my Pavillion dv7 laptop?

I have one monitor connected through the HDMI interface and I would like to have another one attached as well. Can I use the VGA port (or the other flat one -- I do not kjnow what it is called) and have the monitors work in concert?
    Thanks!

    Hi, Jerry:
Theoretically you should be able to connect as many monitors as you have video out ports.
Since I don't have your model, I can only speculate.
I know that this is true of desktop PC's (where the onboard video is not disabled by an add on card).
I believe the other HDMI-looking port is a display port.

  • HP Pavillion dv6000 laptop computer will not power on

My HP Pavillion dv6000 laptop computer (s/n CNF72132WJ, p/n GH783EA#ABU) will not power on - it gives 1 long beep followed by 3 short beeps and then does nothing. I've been told that the problem is the NVIDIA graphics card but am unable to find this part in the HP Parts Store. Is the NVIDIA graphics card a separate purchasable item for an HP Pavillion dv6000 laptop computer or is it integrated into the system board (p/n 443774-001)?
Where in the UK can I purchase either a replacement NVIDIA graphics card or a replacement system board (p/n 443774-001)?
Thank you in advance for any help you can give me with this problem.

The Nvidia graphics card is soldered on to the motherboard and you need to replace motherboard for the Notebook to work according to your diagnosis.
The Part# - 443774-001 is Out of stock and curent not available in HP Parts store however I just did a search for you on Ebay UK website and was able to find it in search results over here

  • Poor webcam image quality (HP Touchsmart Notebook

I recieved a HP touchsmart Notebook as a Christmas gift and the image quality is  horrible! Even in a well lit environment, the image is still not clear. I have adjusted the settings to try to improve the image quality, but there is still not much of a difference in the way the images appear. I have also tried to reinstall the Cyberlink YouCam application but the image quality is still the same (poor). I like some features on my laptop, yet I'm still getting aquainted with it. However, the image quality along with a few other technical issues such as (freezes), has negatively impacted how I view this product. I hope that there is something that could be done! Please help!

  • HP pavillion touchscreen laptop

For the last few days I have been having issues with the touch screen on my HP pavillion laptop. Why is my screen flashing white bubbles, white streaks and moving icons all around, shrinking/expanding my icons and jumping from one screen to another? It makes my laptop inoperable having to cold-boot it and restart.

Hi there , I am jumping in to this thread as , is unavailable for the next while.  Just to clarify what I have read, do you need to restart your system because the touchpad, mouse or touchscreen no loger respond at all? Was there any recent change to you system ,such as new software installed, system updates or new drivers? Since it just changed so recently, a quick fix to try is a System restore to a point before this all started. If it was a few days try a restore point that is as close to the present date, but still before the time the trouble started, whatever you have available. Then test and see whether it is recurring. Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 8)
Let me know if that works for you and if not, please post any other details you can about what is happening. Any error messages, other performance issues, that sort of thing.

  • 5.1 Audio Support for Touchsmart Laptop

Greetings! First post on this forum
I have a Touchsmart TXN-1274NR laptop. It has RealTek audio drivers that support surround sound audio (5.1, etc.). However, the laptop's only audio jacks are three jacks in the front edge of the latop, two of which are labled with a headphone symbol, and the other with a microphone symbol. Is 5.1 audio or greater supported by my hardware? If so, where do I connect the output to?
    Thanks!
    joe

    Hi, Joe:
Welcome to the HP Consumer Support Forum.
I am not an audio expert but looking at the specs for your notebook at the link below and reading the users guide, it appears to have support for enhanced audio.
The product specs state it has Altec Lansing speakers with SRS Premium Sound
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01801117&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&cc=us&dlc=en...
I looked up what SRS Premium Sound is and it appears to describe 5.1 quality audio.
    http://hothardware.com/News/SRS-Introduces-Premium-Sound-Suite-for-PCs/
Chapter 2, page 4 of the users guide indicates that the jack labeled 5 in the illustration is an S/PDIF jack and the description of the jack states:   Provides enhanced audio performance, including surround sound
    and other high-end audio output.

    Hi KaseyMarie,
You don't say which operating system you're using; if you're using Windows 8:
    1. Press the Windows key  + Prt Scr (Print Screen).
    2. Windows saves the screenshot to your Pictures folder as a PNG image file.
I hope this helps solve your problem!

  • Restoration disks for Pavillion dv9000nr Laptop

    Hello
Re: Restoration of old HP Pavillion dv9000nr widescreen laptop.
I would like to know if any forum members has a set of recovery disks or thumbdrive that could be loaned, rented,  or sold to me.  I am attempting to get this aging widescreen laptop to work again.  I could also send you 3 new blank disks to copy your recovery disks to send back to me.  Or I could send you a new blank thumbdrive, but I do not know if it will boot from USB port.   I can pay you for this favor.
I bought it just before HP switched to Vista, so it ran XP, when it ran.  However, I don't think that's an issue since the restore media replaces the operating system as well.
I am NOT able to create recovery disks from the HD.  The machine is totally messed up.  HP has no copies of any kind of restore media left.  Running Restore media is my last chance.  Have tried everything else.
If you could possibly help me out. I would be forever grateful.  Please contact me directly if possible.  Or thru the forum.

  • DO NOT BUY HP PAVILLION TOUCHSMART 20 ALL-IN-ONE

My experience with this desktop has been very poor.  I have owned a computer since they have been offered to consumers and I say from experience that this is the worst computer I have owned.  I have been on the phone with techs twice for over an hour.  My computer works ok for a little while and then becomes unstable.  My internet truly never closes.  Scary, if I backspace the application I logged out of is open.  Sometimes I will click on an item and the computer will go blank. I have to turn the computer off to clear whatever is going on with it. I have only owned this computer three months.  Maybe it is the all in one feature & maybe not.  My advise is that it is too many issues with this model to think about investing in it.

    Cselas1962, welcome to the forum.
Here is the Win 8.1 driver for the printer.  I suggest checking to see if the driver that is installed is the same or newer.  If the one in the link is newer, you should install it to see if that helps.  It could be that there is a driver conflict with the driver for the Touch screen.

    Hi,
Yes and no. Why ? because it will work with the right driver, won't work if can't find the right driver. How can we know you can get a right driver when we don't know your computer. HP has dozens if not hundreds of models/products called Touchsmart.

  • Loss of Sound HP Pavillion Entertainment Laptop DV6820ea

    Hi,
    Operating System:  Windows Vista
Sound Driver :         Conextant High Definition Smart Audio 221 (SPDIF INTERFACE)
    Other Programmes: I Tunes
Problem :     Sudden loss of sound, I have tried the obvious such as is the touch sensitive mute switched off and the volumes switched on . I did briefly have my i-touch connected via USB but don't remember doing anything other than connecting and disconnecting the USB cable. Then there was no sound. I have also tried via control panel testing the devices and the speaker test works correctly but other than this I am unable to get any sound from the laptop. I did find, although I can't remember where, next to a  I-tunes file name  yellow triangles but was unabe to delete. This will probably be a very obvious and simple solution! but I would greatly appreciate any help!    many thanks

This often occurs when you plug in an HDMI device, on my machine.  Try manually setting the playback device:
Right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar.
    Select Playback Devices.
Right-click the audio device you want (i.e. Speakers)
    Select Set as default device.
If this does not work, try logging in with an account that has administrative access.  I discovered the wireless network can not be enabled by a non-administrative account, when it is disabled while logged in as an administrator.  You have to go back to the admin account, enable wireless, and then log back to the other account.
Avoid updating your driver, unless the device no longer functions.
