Re-install apps after OS upgrade to iPhone
I installed the new OS on my iphone 3gs. It deleted my apps and music. I have 2 iphones on this computer and do not want all the apps and music, just the ones that were deleted. How can I get them back?
As long as the apps and music are still available in the store, and you use the same iTunes account as you originally used to buy them, then you should be able to re-download them for free : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519 (though music can't currently be re-downloaded in all countries). If you download the apps to your computer's iTunes you could then try restoring to your backup and see if that restores them and their settings/content (and that should only copy the apps that you had on the iPhone) - a backup doesn't contain the actual apps, just their content/settings, so for the restore to work fully iTunes needs access to the apps so that it can restore them.

I rechecked each question you posed; I even turned off and turned back on the Apple TV and iTunes Home Sharing, deleted the app and redownloaded it several times. I am still getting the message on my phone to turn on Home Sharing in iTunes on my computer or on Apple TV. I can't think of any changes I made since the REMOTE app worked except I downloaded the iOS 7.1. About a week before uploading the new iOS, I moved my router. Could this have been a cause of my problem? Everything else seems to work. Do you have any other suggestions? Or do you think the REMOTE app isn't working correctly with the new iOS 71.? i cannot install apps that are upgraded to ios4. im using iphone 2g 3.1.3 this makes me sad.. why does apple need to updates many apps when we cannot update an iphone 2g anymore..
I am having the exact same problem with trying to sync my iPad with my computer. To make a long story short, I had to reinstall Windows for my computer and therefore had to reinstall itunes.
I have done back ups in the past for my ipod touch and other ipods with no problems, but unfortunately I have never been able to back up my iPad. During a sync, the iPad would always disconnect from my computer and it would never finish. it would say the connection was lost, but nothing is wrong with the connection.
So now I have over 100 apps and thousands of pictures that I am afraid will be deleted if I run the sync in itunes. I have tried to transfer purchases and it goes through the list of apps, but nothing is ever transferred.
Any help would be appreciated. I am not interested in jailbreaking my iPad to solve this problem. There should be a fix for this and I want to upgrade to ios 4.3 as the original poster. Please help -
After I upgraded my Iphone 4 with the ios 7.1.1 it locks up while sending text messages. I can usually send a few then will have to restart my phone(often more than once) to get it to send and receive messages again. I have done a back up and complete reset and that has not fixed the problem. Have been told that the ios 7.1.1 just isn't compatible with the Iphone 4 so that's why it is locking up so often, but I am hoping someone else may have a better answer since it can't be undone. Thanks!
7.1.1 is certainly compatible with the iPhone 4. Just try a reset first.
Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
Reset your device: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss) -

This too started to happen to me when I upgraded iOS 5 and moved to iCloud.
I have since purchased 3 apps and got the waiting que and nothing.
I noticed though that with my Mac on, I went to IPad settings/general/iTunes sync and sync now, suddenly the three apps started o download and install. Why it's doing this I'm not sure until I dig a bit deeper. -

Have an iphone 3G and wen to install the Facebook app from the app store. Wen I selected install app, it said that the iphone requires IOS 4.3.
I then plugged the phone into itunes and it said the phone was up to date (IOS 4.2.2 I think it said?). How can i install these apps, the same happened and other apps i tried to install. Any advice would be much apprecaitedUnfortunately there is nothing that you can do and you CAN'T install these apps becuse your phone is too old. A 3G cannot be updated beyond iOS 4.2, which is the most it can support and these apps need iOS 4.3 or above to be installed and there are no versions of these apps available.
Developers have to place a cut off somewhere and keep developing for the most recent software that does not now include the 3G.
If you want to install these apps on your phone, then you will have to upgrade to either an iPhone 3Gs, iPhone 4, 4s or 5. That is all you can do because you won't be able to download these apps on an iPhone 3G - just not possible any longer. -
OMG! No Services and Touch ID no longer working anymore after i upgraded my Iphone 6 from IOS 8.00 to 8.02 today!!!! Any Idea how to fix this?
Go to settings do a reset after that tou will need to enter you Router wireless key Then wait for iPhone to come on. This worked for me on iPhone & ipad. Bsydd uk

I can no longer update apps on my iPhone 4s after the IOS 8 update. The IOS 8 update took a very long time to complete, maybe 12 hours, and afterwards, it worked but updating packages were very slow. Package updates have since been problematic and about 4 days ago, it stopped being able to update any packages. I click on them to update and they never make any progress. I have 2.8 Gbytes free and I keep deleting more and more packages, pictures, etc. It seems like, from the amount of stuff that I have deleted, I should have more than 2.8 Gbytes free.
Is anyone else having this kind of problem?16GB iPhone4: Go to Settings, scroll down to iTunes & App Stores and touch. At the top of the next page it shows: Apple ID. Touch this. Select Sign Out. Your Apple ID will go away. Re-enter Apple ID and password. Try App Store again.
Other solutions were to go to Settings:General:Date&Time and turn off auto-update, then change date to next year. This didn't work for me, nor a lot of other users on the forums. It took reading a lot of threads to find the log-out, log-in solution. Even on the official Apple Website all I saw was: Make sure your connection is working, battery is charged, desktop is plugged in when you try to sync. OK I exaggerate, but with all the users posting this problem, you'd think they'd post their solutions when they work with a Tech Help call. -

Another way is to just easily go the App Store on your iphone or ipad and look under purchased arrow. Click on it and all your apps you've downloaded or purchased are right there, no connection needed. Just hit the icloud button and download them. The reason I think you "lost" them is you forgot to back them up to your original back up on your mac in itunes.
I can now see all my apps via icons right in itunes, which is cool for me.
If your apps are in itunes then they should, should have backed up to your restore. If they didn't that's weird.
Too many people are screwing up the update by not SLOWLY reading the instruction options when they begin, not Apples fault. Also, so many people are impatient and thinking that when it says "restoring" "backing up" they freak and think they are losing everything and prematurely stop the upgrade, unplug or whatever.
People take a deep breath. This is a MAJOR undertaking for Apple and all of us.
Perspective - over 100 Million iOS devices.... Think about it. No company has attempted to do what they are doing -- all at once. -
N8 Ovi Store unable to install app after downloade...

Ovi Store in my N8 unable to install app after downloaded. App are succefully downloaded but hang when start installing, i follow the prompt instruction in N8, which is click Smart Installer but prompt same installation process box & the box disappears after that without a successful installation.
App face above problem include Lyrics, Youtube Downloader, Different Tack.
My Nokia N8 firmware details :

I'm not sure app at above are Qt app or not. Is it current firmware PR1.1 in N8 doesn't support Qt app yet? Anyboby has idea what's wrong for the Ovi Store?

Go to Solution.It can be solved by 5 steps :
1. Close Ovi Store and uninstall app using Application Manager.
2. Clear your browser cache data (Nokia browser>Options>Clear privacy data>All).
3. Go to file manager to clear installed app file (Menu>Application>Office>File Manager>Options>Find>Select Drive C or E depends where you install the app>Root folder>Type app name you want to remove>Delete founded file).
4. Restart your phone.
5. Open Ovi Store and install the app again.

The error 1009 error is normally associated with a blocked country. There are a list of countries that Apple is not allowed to sell their software to due to US restrictions

After having upgraded my iPhone 4S to iOS 7.0.2, I can not turn on Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. After trying various tricks I found via online forums such as software reset, enable Airplane mode, and resetting the network settings, I have now also completed reset of the phone WITHOUT success. Is there something more to it? If not learn hardly be any more iPhone for me. Really disappointed. Grateful for help!
If you have tried all of the steps in this support document http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1559 and have completed all of the user troubleshooting, restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new, then make an appointment with the Apple store to have the hardware checked.
