I have CS6 Design Standard, changing to a new computer....
How do I do I switch my license to the new computer?

and if I'm already using the '2nd' activation ?
I have 1 on my home computer so I can work from home if I need to...
we are changing computers at work.....
Can I uninstall/de-activate on old computer and reuse the serial number on the new one?

I bought the Creative Suite 6 Design standard about 2 years ago. I just got a new computer (Microsoft Surface Pro 3) and it does not have a disc port so I was wondering
if there is a way I can download it and then use the product code on the box to activate it. It is already installed on my old laptop so this would be the second computer it would be installed on. Also, I just made a new adobe account because I forgot my old one, can the product code only be used for one account?

Reinstall CS6 Design standard onto a new laptop?

I purchased and installed CS6 Design Standard onto a laptop that previously bit the dust. I am unable to locate my serial number, but I do have the installation CD's and product codes. Is there anyway I can install the Adobe CS6 Design Standard onto my new laptop?

You could only get the serial number (which is required) if the product was registered. You could check on Adobe.com.

Unable install CS6 design standard on Mac OS 10.8.2

I having problem when installing CS6 design standard on Mac OS 10.8.2
i was using the online .dmg to install everytime when the installation seem like almost done (the progress bar shown 99%). suddenly it just fail.
I was using admin id and tried adobe clean tools to reinstall.

A quick look at the error log, indicates a permission issues. Are you logged in with an Administrator account and have sufficient privileges to install software?

Two days ago I bought CS6 Design Standard. Now I wanted install it but in the beginning of the install process I had to type in the serial number. I did it. But after pressing the enter button I always gets follow message, even the serial number is right:
"Couldn't proof the serial number for Creative Suit 6 Design Standard. Contact support." (Translated from German)
1. There is NO support on the weekend. Why not?
2. What do I have to do, so that the serial number wil be accepted. It can't be, that I bought a programm for severall hundred EUR and then I can't install it.

I JUST bought my student edition CS6 Design Standard last week. Got everything verified, registered with adobe. Oh ****, I have no cd drive. OK, what do I do? I have read the FAQ. I have tried to install a trial. No Design Standard option with the handy Download Assistant. I tried the Help Chat. There were 88 people in front of me. Well I'm frustrated and am wasting time at this point. I'd really appreciate if someone would please tell me how I can get this installed and use the software I paid for.

How do I install CS6:Design Standard onto my iMac? I already had it on my MacBook Pro and should get 2 downloads with the student version?

I bought the student version of CS6 Design standard 3 years ago and installed it on my MacBook Pro. I now just purchased an iMac and would like to download it onto this as well. I should be able to download it onto two computers from what I understand, but when I insert the disk for download, there is no install.app on the disk any longer. I only see set-up.exe (which is for windows). How can I get the programs downloaded onto my iMac?

Question: Instaling CS6 Design Standard

Problem with instalation of CS6 Design Standard, remain only for 5 minutes, I quit all the apps but the prompt "Pleas close these applications to continue". The help instruction insists that Safari is sill runing. I tried both, usual Force Quit and Utility > Activity Monitor > Quit Process. No efect what so ever.

When you check the Activity Monitor, look for the processes from All Users else restart the machine in Safe mode and then install the software.

Need help with installing CS6 Design Standard

Hi all,
Bought CS6 Design standard as a download from Currys the other day. I have a list of 4 files to download.
First one is a PDF to tell me how to activate my student software.
Second is a download .exe file for design standard
Third is another .exe for illistrator content installer
Fourth is another .exe for indesign and incopy content installer.
I've donwloaded all 4 files and once i've clicked on the two content installers i then click on the design standard .exe file and up comes this error message "the file archive part of adobe cs6 design standard is missing. you need all parts in the same folder in order to extract adobe cs6 design standard. please download all parts."
As google automatically places all the download items into the downloads folder, I'm assuming I've done the correct thing and placed them all in the same folder.
I have read that you need to extract a .72 folder or something. however i cannot see that on my downloads list.
Please could someone help, or is this a case of taking my laptop into currys and demanding someone to help me??

you should contact your vendor to see where that 7z file is.
btw, it should not be manually extracted. the exe will extract the 7z file's contents.

I bought a new MacBook but it doesn't have a CD drive.. how can I reinstall my Creative Suite 6 Design Standard Student & Teacher Edition there?
Is there a download link for it - I can only find buy links.. And can I use the product code that is on the back of my CS cds??

How do I reinstall Creative Suite 6 Design Standard on a new computer when the computer repair shop completely destroyed my old computer?

The computer repair shop destroyed my old computer when they attempted to replace the fan. They tell me the motherboard is shot and they are buying me a new computer. I need to know how to reinstall on the new computer the Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design Standard Student and Teacher edition that was loaded on the now broken computer.

Thanks for getting back to me. I am not sure if you understood my
situation. What I needed was to contact Adobe customer support so that they
could deactivate the CS6 on my broken computer. The problem I had, and you
might want to address this as part of Adobe customer service moving
forward, is that there is no way to contact customer service for issues
with CS6. The only support option allowed on your website is to post a
question in the Forum.
If you follow the link you sent me to Adobe customer service, and believe
me I did, you will be taken to a page that will ask you for some
information about your product first. Once you go thru the series of
questions and windows, you reach a page that tells you that your only
support option is the Forum. It will literally not allow you to initiate a
chat session!
I finally found that their is a small statement at the bottom of the page
from your company president saying that customer service is important to
him and to let him know how Adobe is doing. By clicking on that link I was
able to send an email and within a few hours a customer service rep named,
Sandeep Singh, responded to me and told me that he had increased my
activation count so that I could reload CS6 on my new computer.
Given that the average computer lasts 3 to 6 years and that Adobe products
are quite expensive, their should be some way for your customers to contact
customer service directly without the need to navigate through a system
designed to make it nearly impossible to contact someone. This kind of
support should be available for at least as long as one might reasonably be
expected to use your product, say 5 years.
In contrast to this difficult experience, I also contacted Microsoft
yesterday for help with transferring software from my broken computer to
the replacement. It was extremely easy! I went to their customer service
site answered a few questions and was presented with the option of either
chatting with a rep or having one call me. I chose call and withing 5
minutes someone called me and helped me with my issue. They even sent me an
email confirming the resolution with a case number.
This process has really made me wonder why Adobe has chosen to offer such
limited and deliberately difficult customer service. I hope these comments
can help you address these issues internally so that Adobe can improve its
customer service experience.

I am trying to run my registered CS6 Design Standard programs for the first time after install. InDesign runs OK, but Illustrator and Photoshop will only run in trail mode. How do I activate those two?

I can't get my registered versions of CS6 Photoshop and Illustrator to run in full mode. I installed CS6 Design Standard online end of June (an upgrade from CS5.5), on my old MacBook Pro. I didn't run the programs then as I was waiting on arrival of new MacBook Pro. I migrated the programs from my old MacBook to the new, and today tried to run those programs for the first time. InDesign work OK (after an initial hiccup) but Illustrator and Photoshop will only run in trial mode, and won't let me save files. My CS6 Design Standard shows with it's registration in my Adobe Account. All seems in order, but Illustrator and Photoshop won't run in registered mode. Can you please help?

Please use the uninstallers to remove your current installation. They are located in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder. Once the uninstall is complete you will also want to run the CC Cleaner Tool.
