Re-install earlier version firefox

owing to compatibility issues I want to re-intall an earlier version of Firefox. If not I will have to go back to using a different browser. I asked more specifically about Norton toolbar etc but got no response. Maybe someone can give me a general answer how to re-install an earlier version.

IMO, there's no good reason why Norton should be surprised when Mozilla releases a security update for Firefox - it's not like Mozilla develops their new minor versions (or any version) behind closed doors and then springs them on the public. New "nightly" versions of Firefox-''next'' are released every morning, and when the new updated version is considered ready, there are RC versions available for testing for like a week before the new version is actually released to the public. Evidently Norton doesn't care enough to even test the security pre-releases themselves - they reply upon user complaints to set their update process in action.

On A Mac you can only install one Firefox version at the time.
So if you really need an older version then try the portable version:

Need to get rid of iTunes update but can't install earlier version

I'm having the same problem many other people are - I installed iTunes 7.4.2 but my computer is running OS X 10.4.5. I've tried to reinstall earlier versions, but the when I go to install it tells me there's nothing to install - there's no application under the .dmg download.
I'm sure this is extremely elementary to everyone but I'd appreciate any help you all can lend. I can't upgrade my OS X because this is a work computer and I'd like to stay away from the wrath of IT. Thanks.

Use Pacifist to extract iTunes and the iTunes support files from the earlier installer or the Mac OS X installation disks, whichever is newer.

The latest update (Reader 11) has screwed up my video viewing (slowed downloads, interrupted viewing, frozen screen etc). I'm on Windows XP Pro (32bit). I want to download an earlier version 10.3. I can download it but it will not let me install it - how do I install an earlier version?

Hello and thanks to anyone who can help. Recently I updated to QT 7.4.5 but I did not realize it would disable a very important function of a program I use called Toon Boom. It's an animation software similar to Flash. When you update to QT 7.45 it disables the quick preview function of Toon Boom which slows down production greatly and makes the animation process very difficult. Toon Boom has been unable to work out a solution with Mac so I've been trying to uninstall 7.45 and/or reinstall and earlier version. I believe anything earlier that 7.3.1 would work, but it seems impossible to uninstall 7.4.5. Does anyone have a suggestion? I've been trying unsuccessfully for days and would really appreciate any help!

In most cases you can simply "upgrade" (meaning downgrade) directly from the installation. It would be a good idea to save your passwords & bookmarks just to be on the safe side.

Install earlier versions of LabVIEW over later versions?

I have LabVIEW 8.5, 2009, and 2010 installed on an Windows XP machine. I would like to install LabVIEW 7.1 and 8.0 on that same machine. Is it safe to installed those without first removing the later versions? Or do I have to first uninstall the later versions, and then install everything in order from oldest to most recent?

Installing earlier versions of Java RunTime

I have an application (Remote Viewer for an Dell IP KVM) that requires Java RunTime 1.5.0_11.
It worked great until I updated my Leopard install and at some point it replaced the JRE.
I've been looking for a JRE for 1.5.0._11 for Mac but Sun only offers it for every other OS.
On Apple's site I can only find it for OS 10.4.
Does anyone have any idea where I can find FRE 1.5.0_11 for OS 10.5.7?

In your Utilities folder there should be a Java folder in which is a utility named Java Preferences. See if you are able to switch to another version of Java.

I've had a lot of trouble with Safari 5 (using all my installed memory within two hours). I decided to go back to Safari 4 and downloaded it. However, it won't let me install it, telling me "You already have a later version of Safari on this volume". How do I go about installing Safari 4?

Is that the only way? An archive and install would take HOURS (it always does - there's the Install itself, then there's the Combo Update, then there's all the Java and Security updates, then there's upgrading iTunes, and finally upgrading Safari - it makes me tired just to think about that, let alone giving up the use of my computer for the best part of a day). Can I not quit Safari and trash the app, then try and install Safari 4 (leaving my bookmarks and top sites in situ)?
Klaus, you will be aware of my main problem with Safari 5, as you've posted in that thread. Nothing has worked, Safari 5 still uses all my memory and I have to quit and relaunch about three times each day. If I could resolve the Safari 5 problem, it would be by far the best solution, but have you any other ideas about that?
