Re-install Magic Canvas

The hard drive was replaced on the unit and a fresh windows 8.1 was installed.
How can I re-install Magic Canvas?
I don't have the original cd/dvd with the recovery options.

Sorry, Magic Canvas is not compatible with Windows 8 and will not work.

According to the specifications for your pc, you should be able to reinstall Magic Canvas from the Recovery Manager. You can find instructions for the process in this document.

I want to be able to arrange the icons myself on the MC.
Unfortunately, I don't think this is possible. These are the only settings available for the Magic Canvas related to desktop icons:
Strangely enough, none of my desktop icons show up when this is enabled though

Magic canvas recipe box

I just got a galaxy tablet and would like to transfer the recipes from the magic canvas recipe box either directly to the tablet or to a thumb drive. I can't figure out how to go about it. I have Windows 7. I was successful with the pdf files. Any help will be appreciated.

I understand you want to transfer your recipes in your HP TouchSmart Recipes Box app to your tablet.
To the best of my knowledge, and I don't have a touchsmart accessible to me at the moment, but it seems the recipes are not exportable based on this option being excluded from this document.
This thread offers a workaround to get them into a more universal format.

How Can I install Magic Mouse on my IPad 3?

Hi there,
I have just received new iPad with retina display. I want to install Magic Mouse on it, but I can't find anywhere instruction for it. Any suggestions ? Thanks

Other than a stylus, this is the only "mouse" that will work with the iPad.

Magic canvas photo software will not interface with snapfish

I have a touchsmart pc 520-1047c. I have windows 7. When in the magic canvas photo program there is a button to link to snapfish. you must put your snapfish user id and password. Even though I am entering the correct information, I am receiving a message that the log in failed. I tried to report this error to HP support, but they had me remove the magic canvas software, and then try to restore it. Long story short, it cannot be reinstalled without doing a system restore. They also had me remove and restore the magic canvas photo program. These actions did not fix it. I am 100 percent sure that I am entering the correct log in info. Any ideas on this?
I aslo have a problem with the magic canvas music program. I have all my itunes purchased and converted cd's in my itunes library. The music program sees all of my albums, both converted and purchased, but won't play the purchased ones. The message is that itunes can't be found. This is a new installation of itunes 10.6.3. This problem may be caused by the newer itunes version not being compatible with the latest music program.
Both of these problems aren't deal breakers since I can post to snapfish directly within snapfish, and I can play my itunes purchased music within itunes, but I think that these softwares should be updated to fix these problems.

Let me start off by saying that I'm not entirely versed in the magic canvas software, but want to see if we can come to some kind of resolution.
With that being said I'm relying on this support documention in regards to using the Touchsmart photo application and uploading to Snapfish.

From my understanding of reading the section where it starts talking about snapfish ( HP TouchSmart Photo ) there are other options available, Facebook and Flicr. Do those accounts work? If you create a new snapfish account (not ideal, but it at least helps us isolate the issue) does it work?
As for your music issue. So all music you have purchased in itunes doesn't get seen by the music application. Do you happen to know if these are DRM protected files? You say it may be a new installation of itunes 10.6.3, do you know if they worked on previous versions of itunes?

How do we log in to FACEBOOK touchsmart APP with Magic Canvas?

Please try this:
1) Log in to Facebook using Internet Exprorer.
2) Go to security
3) Disable sure browsing
4) Log in to Facebook app & click remember log in.
5) Go back to Internet Exprorer and enable secure browsing.

Imac with snow leopard does not go to sleep after installing magic? trakpad

i have a 9,1 imac and still have snow leopard(10.6.8) and installed magic Trackpad two weeks ago since then the computer does not go to sleep. I have changed energy saver settings but no effect. Only programs running are gogle new and gmail. Does any one has come across this problem, any solutions?

I had the download file open all the time and closing that has solved (looks like) the problem. However, this was not an issue while I use the regular mouse.

When I am installing this plug ins I receive a message saying: your graphic card did not meet the minimum requirement but actually my graphic card did meet the requirement and I was looking at the requirement for this in website and my Gcard met the requirement. Why is it not installing?

My graphic card is: NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT (Microsoft corporation-WDDM v1.1)
The minimum requirements for the plug ins are: Magic Bullet Looks supports a wide range of cards from both ATI or NVIDIA. For ATI cards, we require a 9600 XT or greater, or an X series card starting with the X700 series. Cards with greater model numbers and at least 128 MB of RAM can run the Looks engine.
For NVIDIA cards, we support the 6600 model and higher or QuadroFX 1300 and up. Cards with higher model numbers and a minimum of 128 MB of RAM can run Looks. For users working with HD images, we require that the video card have at least 256 MB of RAM. In all cases, we suggest using the latest video drivers for your graphics card.
Please Note Since all media is processed at 32 bit, you will absolutely need a 256 MB graphics card or larger. For newer cards from ATI and NVIDIA, we recommend a minimum of 320 MB of RAM. For 2K projects, we recommend 512 MB or a larger amount of RAM on the graphics card.

Unable to install magic trackpad driver on Windows 7 on MBP

I recently purchased a Magic Trackpad and it's working perfectly on the Mac side of my MBP. However, I downloaded the 32-bit driver for my Winfows 7 Bootcamp side and every time I try to run the driver I receive the following error:
"Windows Installer
The installed product does not match the installation source(s). Until a matching source is provided or the installed product and source are synchronized, this action cannot be performed."
It then tries to point me to the following source "C:\ProgramData\Apple\Installer Cache\Boot Camp 3.0.0\". If I press OK it tells me that the file there is not valid. I also tried pointing it to the OSX install disc in my optical drive and it doesn't work. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Stefan, I checked the version on my Boot Camp drivers and they are in fact 3.1. Checking a little further I seem to have found two issues:
1. It seems that it's not only this, but any type of update I try to do it tries to find the drivers in folder 3.0.0.
2. The Boot Camp install I'm asking help with is actually one I migrated to my new MBP using winclone. I moved from a 2009 2.4GHz MBP to a 2.66GHz MBP. I tried to update the old MBP's driver and it does so successfully, so this leads me to believe that the winclone install didn't go 100% perfectly. I will try to reformat my Boot Camp partition, reinstall Windows 7 and then try to update to see if this resolves the issue.

Unable to wake screen using magic mouse or trackpad after installing magic mouse

I am using mbp 15 inch early 2011 with 2 GHZ intel i7 processor and a 4gb ram. I would like to tell you that i have installed the mac os x lion and quite happy with the improvement. however, there are same changes which i am not sure whether it is that my mac that causeing theproblem or the bug from the lion itself. i am unable to wake my mbp screen using my magic mouse or trackpad after installing lion. i believe that my mbp has not really enter sleep mode as i dont see the sleep indicator at the bottom right corner flickering. i also believe that it is only the screen that goes to sleep while the hard disk is not. Normally a single swing of the magic mouse or a single swipe of the trackpad will normally wake the screen. in order to wake the screen now is only to click on the magic mouse or trackpad. furthermore, scrolliing page using magic mouse also become unusual after installing the lion. does any of u happen to come across these problems as well? Is there any other way to downgrade to snow leopard back? (i ask this in case that this issue really cannot be fixed). Please help me on this issue. First, Lion does not wake on mouse or trackpad movement, only clicks or keyboard presses. This is presumably to avoid waking the computer from display or full sleep accidentally, and is just how Lion works. It's going to take some getting used to, personally, but I've noticed my mac hasn't woken up on it's own. Apparently moving about my apartment moves the mouse enough that Snow Leopard used to wake the iMac. This is not a glitch, and unfortunately, a downgrade is a complicated matter, involving erasing the HD entirely, and restoring from a backup created in Snow Leopard and not used with Lion at all, or manually importing important bits of data, as libraries upgraded by new versions of Mail, iCal, etc will not be compatible with the old versions.
In terms of your mouse scrolling, describe it in a bit more detail; Lion introduces "natural" scrolling, where instead of the mouse wheel moving the "window" over the contents, it moves the contents through the window, like scrolling on an iPhone or iPad. In other words, think of your finger on the mouse as pressing on the page you're looking at and dragging it upward through the field of view. I remember long ago thinking my very first scrolling mouse was backwards, and then adjusting to "down is down, up is up". If this is the behavior you're experiencing, this also is the way Lion works. This, however, can be changed in the mouse or trackpad preference pane in system preferences. Simply deselect "natural" scrolling.
In a more general sense, its usually not a good idea to do a major software upgrade on your primary machine unless you're willing to deal with some zero-day glitches. It sounds like the issues you're having aren't actually glitches, and you should be happy for that, but in the future, you might want to wait a few weeks for other users with more experience with major OS launches to find those bugs and point them out to the community for Apple to fix. In terms of an OS launch, I think this has been absolutely one of the best. I'm seeing very few major glitches resulting in lost data, few things that would really destroy my personal workflows, and compatiblity issues with other products seems to be well documented or negligible. It's also a bit hasty to assume that mere hours after launch Apple would have any ability to fix ACTUAL problems with the OS. My recommendation would be to get used to the change; having to click the mouse at least means you'll never accidentally wake your machine bumping against your desk.

I updated bootcamp to 3.1

add device
switch on your magic mouse
i had the same "freezing" problem with detection when i clic the next button, so don't clic it...
instead right clic your newly discovered mouse
you should have 2 options - add device and properties
clic properties
the properties windows should have a services tab
check the only checkable box "drivers for keyboard, mice, etc...."
(what i did) i clicked apply first and i noticed windows was installing new stuff and then i clicked ok
my mouse works =D
the scrolling up and down IS working but not the left and right
i restarted my computer just to be sure with the mouse still on and it remained operational
i didnt try to fix the left and right scrolling, not really important anyway

IMAC won't turn on after installing Magic Mouse

I Have an intel 2 core duo aluminum. I installed the magic mouse and now I cannot star it. I get the Grey screen, Some time with the apple, some times just the gray screen. When I load the installer disk and run disk utility, the hard drive does not show up. Any Idea on how to fix my problem?

Installing magic mouse

Hello... first time poster. Be nice to me!
Just had a first generation i-pad and went to the apple store today and bought a wireless keyboard and magic mouse. I specifically asked the person helping me at the Apple store if the Keyboard and mouse were compatible with the 1st generation i-pad. I have installed the keypad with no problems but would be grateful for any advice (with any links) of house to install the mouse

The keyboard is compatible with the iPad, the mouse is not (there is no cursor to move so the mouse would only be of use when entering text).
