Re-install Tiger, Software Update, now Airport doesn't work

So, I just replaced the hard drive on my Dual USB iBook G3. I completed the installation, and everything was working great. Airport was showing my home network (unsecured, iknow) and I was able to connect to Software Update via the Airport.
First major download was the 10.4.8 combined update for PPC - after downloading it and restarting I lost Airport connectivity. Can't find my newtork, can't manually input IP address, etc.
Next, plugged into Ethernet and downloaded Airport (4.2 ?) and still nothing.
What's the deal? Airport was working before the updates, and now nothing. Other laptops at home are working wirelessly just fine, so it's not my ISP, connection, or router.

Click here to be taken to the Airport Troubleshooting kBase document.
It could be that you need a firmware update following the 10.4.8 update. Follow the steps in the above link, and post back with your results.
Another thing to try is the Mac OS Software update. Click on the Apple logo at the top left of screen while connected to the 'net, choose 'Software Update' and let the computer do the rest.
If all else fails, remove and re-seat the Airport card by following these instructions.

Upgraded Software update - now cable doesn't work!

I went to use the software update today when I was connected to me PC. It told me there was an update to the software and to remove my phone and USB connection while it downloaded and installed. I did this and went through the update which apprently worked fine but needed to also install a cable driver update, did this as advised then tried to reconnect my phone but the PC just doesn't see it anymore.

Just my luck!! Fortunatey its not too big a problem as I have damaged my phone prior to this and am awaiting a replacement from the insurance people. I was updating to see what the update offered and if it sorted some of the issues I have with it as it stands. As for "dont fix it if it aint broke" I have never had this phone working in the way that it should. the N73 has been a big dissopointment and now I hear that it has been discontinued, no surprises there!
It disgusts me that companies like Nokia release software before it has been fully tested just because its cheaper to let the paying public do the tests and give them a greater spectrum of results. Souns to me like they're basing their business strategy on Microsoft.

Recent software update ,now limewire doesn't work

Software update popped up today just a safari and java update, cliked update
now limewire wont work, i tried to open, but it "jumps" once then stops. and nothing happens.
from what searching i did do, I'm guessing java is the problem :S
is there anyway i can undo the update
or has anyone got a fix

Installed the latest update, now Airport Utility doesn't see Airport

I ran the latest update, now my Airport Utility claims to not see my Airport Extreme although I'm still on my network.? Any suggestions before I completely reset the AE to factory settings and start over.

I purchased a new Airport Extreme last week, I run a home network with a G5 desktop and a G4 Laptop running 10.4.10. It took me a while to set it up as I entered the wrong password for my ISP SBCGlobal. After I finally had it going I had a couple of occasions where Airport Utility did not see Airport but I still had the solid green light on Airport. I am not sure what I did that resolved the problem but I know I did a restart one time and my Airport showed up. I may have also reset my base station and re-entered my info but I no longer have the problem.

Moved houses.. now airport doesn't work

I just moved houses and stayed using the same internet provider (comcast high speed internet cable modem). I went to the new house and plugged in my macbook pro and it got on to the internet no problem using DHCP. Now I went to set up my airport extreme, and I set it using DHCP and tried to connect, and it just sits there when it tries to access a page. I was using in my own house an airport extreme linked to another using WDS so I could extend the range and it worked no problem. I tried on both of them just using DHCP and it doesn't seem to work. I tried doing a hard reset on one and setting it up using the assistant, and still no luck. I even programmed in the values that I get when I use my ethernet connection as a manual setting in the airport, and still no good.
Any ideas/thoughts would be appreciated, I am stumped as I figured DCHP should just work.. I do not use any domains/other routers quite yet, and I don't see what the problem should be.

Unplug your cable modem from it's power supply, leave it unplugged for at least 3-5 min. Hard reset you're base station again, if you've got an express, do a factory reset. see article http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=108044 for instructions. use the setup assistant again, and make sure you set it up like it's brand new. new base station, new network, new everything. plug your modem back in. you should be good to go.

Using thunderbird with ATT. Worked Sunday, Thunderbird did an update, now it doesn't work?

I've been using Thunderbird about a year. Sunday evening (4/5/15), Thunderbird told me it had an update. I said "ok". After that, it wouldn't access AT&T for my emails. My server settings are correct. When I bring up Thunderbird, I see this:
Unable to connect
The connection was refused when attempting to contact inbound.att.net.
The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Thunderbird is permitted to access the Web.
All of those things are fine. The only thing that changed is Thunderbird. Please help.

Did you check your firewall to see if Thunderbird is set to Allowed. It is not uncommon for firewalls to block updates as if they are new software.

RAM upgraded – Now Airport doesn't work

So I upgraded a G4 1.33 iBook this morning, boosted the RAM from 256MB to 1.25GB using a 1GB chipset.
After the RAM installation was complete, I booted the machine, first resetting the PRAM using apple-option-p-r, then resetting the NVRAM using apple-option-o-f and the "reset-nvram" and "reset-all" commands.
The iBook booted up perfectly, but is now unable to detect any wireless networks. Any idea how to solve this? I thought I'd plugged the AirPort card back into the iBook properly and reconnected the aeriel correctly, and it all looked OK.

I recently upgraded my apple TV software and now it doesn't work, does anybody know how to fix this problem?

Apple TV no longer works after I upgraded the latest patch. It shows a picture of the USB plugging into iTunes but doesn't do anything. Can anybody tell me how to either reset Apple TV or explain how to get it working again?

I installed lion without software updating and now itunes doesn't work and my computer crashes when loading photobooth?

I didn't bother to install the software updates my computer needed to do. It said something about prepping for lion, but I thought if I installed lion it wasn't neccesary. Now seeing as I have all these bugs, I feel like that was a mistake. I also did not bother to make a time machine thing to go back on, or any copy of my snow leopard hard drive. Is my only option now to make a clean install of snow leopard with the cd and wipe everything, then install lion again?
I tried using command R on startup to reinstall lion, but it says my disks are locked.

I am running OS 10.6.8.
I did a "normal" software update (under the Apple icon).. didn't update the OS to a higher level, it's still 10.6.8. But now certain websites tell me that Java is missing or not working. When I go to the Java site, they say that you can only download the newest Java for OS 7 or higher... that Java is automatically part of OS 6 and should have automatically updated when I do a Mac software update.
Java used to work. Now that I've "updated" my Mac software, it doesn't work. And there's no way to download and install Java (according to them).
It's a never ending circle with no solution.

uninstall pse 10 (properly using the adobe uninstaller).
clean - Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
then try reinstalling using the adobe installation file(s).

Are you only having issues opening Safari? Are you able to connect to the internet with other Browsers or using Mail?
The article below is a good starting point for troubleshooting. I'd start by plugging in an ethernet cable and restarting the computer. If the wired (LAN) connection works, then unplug the ethernet cable and continue troubleshooting the wireless connection.
