This patch package could not be obtained. Verify that this patch package exists and that you can access it, or contact the Application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows installer patch package.Message when I try to reinstall after registry repair. Where is this patch package?
Can you please try copying the contents of install CD to your desktop to see if there has been a failure of your install media.
As for Windows 7 you maybe able to get Acrobat 7 itself to install but you will not have the capability of producing PDFs with Windows 7 and Acrobat 7.

Installation Media for Adobe Acrobat Reader and Flash without Extra Software
Is there a Installation Media format for Adobe Acrobat Reader and Flash which does not have McAfee, Google Chrome or Google Toolbar associated with the installation? This deployment is for a IT department. We do not want Google Chrome, Toolbar, or McAfee installed on our workstation, and we want to prevent our users from installing them when performing the upgrades to newer versions. We want installation media without the extra software for deployment. Does Adobe supply these?

I need to install (transfer) a license of Adobe Acrobat 9 on a new PC. I have the serial number to register the product but I can not find an installable file on the current PC with the 9.5.5 license to transfer to the new PC. Where can I find a downloadable link?

Invalid Serial number for Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Pro downloaded from your site
I understand that you no longer will activate Acrobat 7.0 Pro...so I went to adobe.com\go\activation and downloaned the file for Acrobat 7.0 pro...which is file 22020134.exe and noted the serial number provided which is <removed by mod - kglad>..however I am getting the Invalid serial number error whether i try to use the serial number you provided or the serial number on the cd.
Can you pleaes provide a valid serial number?that is the correct serial number. recheck your downloaded file and recheck the number you used.

Per http://www.adobe.com/go/kb403246, there's a new setup.exe to let you install "all" updates to AAPro8.0 at initial install time.
Does this also include installing the Security Update 1 for 8.1.2, or, does that still have to be done separately?
Thanks.Yes on both accounts. We're running Sophos and I've shut down the process that auto-starts and runs it in the background. The user herself is an administrator and I've tried both on her account and the root workstation administrator with no success.

There is no single "manual" explaining Acrobat (any release).
The reality is that a comprehensive "manual" would, in print, be more like volumes comprising an Encyclopedia set.
(...anyone remember those? )

I am on Windows 7, and I was on Adobe.com. I went to downloads and clicked on Acrobat XI standard. It downloaded. But when I went to run it said Acrobat XI Pro and would not accept my serial number. I have done this now 4 times. I think that the system is downloading the wrong version. I am getting very frustrated and unhappy with Adobe!!!!
