Re-installing app to iPhone?

PLease excuse my ignorance, but as I haven't been able to find out for myself I hope you experts can give a helping hand/ advice:
My iPhone 3GS had to be resetted/ restored as I was unable to get access to the original files and updating them. Please don't ask me what happened ...it just did
After doing so I lost the apps that I had downloaded, including those bought and given through Black Friday and 12 Days Of Christmas schemes. Is there a way that these can be restored to my iPhone? After all, they should've been registered with my account at the app store.

Yes. Since you're restoring as a new device, it doesn't really matter what computer you use. Just make sure you sign into iTunes using YOUR Apple ID first.
You should be aware, by design, iPhone syncs or manually manages iTunes content with ONE computer at a time. Every time you switch computers, ALL iTunes content will first be erased from your phone, to be replaced with the content from the new computer.

Installed app from Iphone but widget doesn't appear

Applications installed from my Iphone doesn't appear on my home screen. I went back to Itunes and it shows installed. I have 9 pages of apps, I was thinking it's because the apps are maxed out but when I delete a few they still didn't appear. Any suggestions?

Try resetting the iPhone and then remove and sync the application to the iPhone again.

Just lost most user-installed apps with iPhone 4 sync

I just plugged in my wife's iPhone 4 (iOS 6, Mac OS 10.7.4, iTunes 10 -- not 11 yet!), received a message I've seen before about finding items on the iPhone that weren't on iTunes and did I want to transfer them, and thinking that they were tunes I had deleted on iTunes recently, said no I didn't want to transfer them back to iTunes. (This has happened before and I had to re-delete the stuff I'd deleted from iTunes previously.)
Then the phone synced, and lo and behold, I think every single user-installed app on her phone has disappeared. I can't find any record of them on the Apps tab in iTunes, they're just gone!
After some research that yielded no help, I decided to restore her phone from an earlier backup, but the only backup that was available was not dated, and when I restored the phone to that backup, it was in the same state as before -- no user-installed apps!
Doesn't iTunes store multiple backups from which you can restore your iPhone? Shouldn't I be able to restore her iPhone from say, yesterday's backup and get back all those apps?
She wants my head, mates, and I don't even know *** happened?
Please advise, if you have any...

You should be able to go to the App Store on her iPhone, click "Updates" in the lower right, then "Purchased" on top, and see all her purchased apps there. You can restore them from there.

Unable to install apps on iphone 3

Hi Can any one help please.
My iphone for some reason will not update or install any further apps. I select the app that I want to install and it prompts me for my password, I put in my password and the icon appears for a short second then disappears. No errors, no indication why it failed. I have checked the usual stuff, restirctions and space, (I have 7.4 Gb left from a 16Gb phone). Also have rebooted, re-sync'd but still has the same problem. thought it might be my account, but I have downloaded the app successfully on my itouch, so i am rather a bit confused...
Anbody got any ideas?

I am also not able to install apps on my iphone. The problem started right.
I click on application and the installation icon appears and immediately disappears without giving any message.

Cannot install apps on iphone 4s

I have recently started using an iPhone for the first time (after using sony ericcsons for years) and this is the first smartphoen I have bought.
I cannot seem to install apps, I can use my apple id to connect to iCloud, iTunes and anything else I need it for. I can login to the App store using the icon on my phone, when it comes to selecting an app I can view it, click on the greyed out button and it turns green saying 'install app' once I click on this the install begins and I get an alert 'Improve your Apple ID Security' and I get asked to choose 3 security questions with the options of 'not now' and 'continue'
Click 'Continue'
I get asked to enter my apple id password where I am in a permanent loop of entering my password, when I enter it it loads for a secod then asks me for the passowrd again
Click 'Not Now'
Install stops and nothing happens
I have tried clearing my cookes, signing in and signing out of the app store several times and I still get the same result. Also when in the app store and signed in, if I try to view my apple id details I get the same nedless loop again
Has anyone esle expereinced this incredibly frustrating problem? The only reason I bought this phone was for apps!

I cannot install apps on iphone 3gs. It shows that app is installing after entering password and then it quits. I can still update apps

After I enter my password, it shows that it is installing app then it goes back to the install app screen. I can still update apps though. I updated my software to iOS 6.1.3 and that did not help. I do not receive any error messages.

Did you find a solution for this? I have a user at work with this exact issue but on their iPhone 4S.

How to hide pre-installed apps on iPhone 5s that aren't in use?

I'd like to remove or hide pre-installed apps that I don't use on my iPhone (also iPad). For example, I NEVER use the "Stocks"; "Game Center"; "Newstand" or "Weather" apps. It's pretty annoying that the apps are there taking up screen space (yes, I'm a tad bit OCD'ish). Is it possible to hide or remove the pre-installed apps? Thank you!

I thought this was supposed to be a seemless transistion. How do I get the info from the apps from my last iphone (2g) onto the 4S? Do I have to re-register and sign in to the apps?

Failed installing app on iphone 4s

helllo everyone,
i just downloaded a game called SIXGUNS from itunes..its abot a 440Mb file.
then i tryed to sync on my FACTORY UNLOCKED IPHONE 4S which is not jailbroken..
it completely synced but during installation it said SIX GUNS failed to install.
please friends help me..i do have windows 7 PC.
is there any setting or different method.

You mean iCloud from Apple ore just a cloud? Try using youre iCloud account and download the musci back to your iphone.
It should work the same a your itunes account; you can dowload apps multiple times.

Can you install any apps from the App Store on your iPhone?
If you're syncing the apps from iTunes to your iPhone and aren't going over but you don't see any errors, try resetting the sync alerts.
Also, make sure you've authorized the computer with the correct account name. Right click an app, Get Info and look for the account name listed, then make sure iTunes is authorized with that account too.

You just set your target to your device and when you click "run", it will install it into the simulator and run it.

If I click on APPS, there are too many choices including "white pages". None appear to be the pages I have on my I-Mac.

I was dragged kicking and screaming into getting an I-Phone last Feb. because several clients text me. Up until then, I was perfectly happy with my flip-phone!
I have been on computers since 1967. Yes, 1967. The realization has finally washed over me that technology is outstripping my need for it. So I have resigned myself to using I-Phone for telephoning, texting, an occasional GPS, and a small amount of Internet. That's it. No streaming, photos, music, games, or nonsensical apps.
Lessons at Verizon and Apple just cover the basics. I have gotten more info from Youtube and Apple Communities.
The party will just have to pass me by!
