Re-installing CS6 on computer after upgrading to windows 8

hi there
I was wondering if anybody could help me with this - I had CS6 installed on my computer but then I wiped it and installed windows 8 on it. I transferred CS6 to my external hardrive but when I came to re-install in on my computer it won't work.
Having researched the problem I see that I should have de-activated it before doing any of the above but its too late for that now!
So basically wondering how I get CS6 back on the same computer without having de-activated it first?

HI, I have an Acer v3 572g. I upgraded from win 8.1 to win 10. Everything is working fine except that the upgrading process completely removed the Dolby Home Theatre application and its drivers and automatically installed the Realtek high definition drivers, after I found out about it, I tried some tips I found online , this is what I did: Downloaded the audio drivers from the Acer website, uninstalled the default audio drivers then, I installed the acer drivers followed the installation process restarted my computer after that, I try to run the DolbyHomeTheater installer found in the PCEE4 folder but after I open the setup file it says: DHT cannot be installed. it doesn't explain why it cannot be installed whatsoever. I can't get this app installed no matter what I do, I've tried different things like installing and uninstalling multiple times, running the setup in compability mode... I don't know what to do now Any help will be very appreciated.

Hi! Thanks for your reply, I did exactly what you suggested but it didn't work for me. I'm able to install the audio drivers but when I try to run the Dolby Home Theater setup, it gives the same error "DHT cannot be installed" I now tried running the setup in troubleshoot compability mode it says: "Settings applied: Windows compability mode: Skip version check.Then, I click on test program but get the "DHT cannot be installed" error.After that, Windows compabilty troubleshoot asks me whether the problem is fixed or not, I click "no" then it says: "issues found: Incompatible program: DolbyHomeTheater is incompatible." But the odd thing is I'm able to install Dolby Advanced Audio v2 and not DHT v4,
I don't know if this is an issue with Windows 10 and Dolby, Acer or both are working on it or something went wrong during the upgrading process...

This is then followed up with the following msg: HP support assistant not installed successfully. An error occurred during the installation: -3 Then it rolls back the installation and will not install. HP support assistant was working under Vista.

Did you first go to the Control Panel and make sure that the HP Support Assistant software was not listed (uninstalled)?

Adobe IX did not down load on my computer after upgrading to Windows 8, Why?

I installed Window 8 upgrade. I see my Adobe that I purchased last year in old Windows file under the program files. I paid over three hundred dollars for the full version. Adobe reader is on my desktop, how can I tell if it's the full version that I bought last year?

You need to reinstall Acrobat 9 properly. UPgrading your operating system does not carry over the required install information and there may be al lsorts of otehr sideeffects. Download the installer from here and reinstall:

Computer does not sleep automatically after upgrading to Windows 8.1?

I have Windows 8.1 and my laptop will not sleep even though its settings are set on a time frame to automatically - used to sleep perfectly fine without any issues before on Windows 8. I'm sure I don't have any applications such as, Windows Media Player
running or etc. that prevents my computer from sleeping because I've tested it with no applications running and does the same thing. The only thing it does is dimming and turns of the display on time. This is frustrating and inconvenient that I always have
to manually sleep through power settings, please help me fix this!

Thank you for your suggestion, Carey Frisch! I've left homegroup but it doesn't seem to temporary band-aid the issue. I've tried the other solutions there but I'm left to no avail.

I hope Microsoft addresses this issue as I'm not the only user who has this problem and fixes it in a soon coming update! Do something about it Microsoft!

You will need to identify your CPU and chipset. CPU-z is a free and safe utility that can do that for you.
If your system has an Intel chipset with disccrete or onboard graphics or an NVIDIA chipset with onboard graphics, then the drivers are here at this Realtek download page.
If your notebook is an AMD CPU and NVIDIA chipset, with a discrete graphics module installed, then the driver for your Conexant CX20549-12 will be here.
Post you results here in your thread so others rsearching for the same information can benefit from it.

No Audio Output after Upgrading to windows 7; Soundblaster Card is installed

After upgrading to Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit), I found that my speakers (which are built into my HP w2207 monitor) are not recognized. In the notification area I have the speaker with a red x in it, and it says “No Audio Output Device is installed”.
I have a HP Pavilion D4890Y with the Sound Blaster Audigy X-FI 24-Bit Xtreme sound card. I tried looking in Device Manager, and found “Multimedia Audio Controller” under Other, which states no drivers could be found.
I tried following some of the advice online, and downloaded the latest Realtek High Definition Audio drivers, but and the download seems to run successfully, but I don’t notice any differences. When I reboot as prompted, I’ve still got the same error.
I then tried forcing the Audio Device to use a Realtek driver, but Windows protests (saying it’s not sure it’s compatable with my device, and I end up with “Realtek High Definition Audio” under “Sound, video and game controllers”, but it has a yellow exclamation point. If I click properties, the device status says “This device cannot start (Code 10).” If I try to update the driver I get the message that it cannot find the driver software.   If I uninstall the driver I’m back to the original problem (multimedia audio controller under original devices, with no known drivers).
I also tried downloading various files from the Creative site, but it’s not clear which one to use, and the 4 or 5 different ones I tried (including their recommended beta version for Windows 7), when each of them opens it says it can’t find any supported devices.

"If the driver is a previous revision install it using the TROUBLESHOOT COMPATIBILITY tool that is part of the Windows 7 OS.
To use the tool, uninstall any drivers for the sound card you show listed in Control Panel/Programs/Uninstall Programs  list.  Delete the Device from Device Manager.
Download the revision of the driver from www.creative.com  website to a folder you've created and placed on your desktop.
After the driver is downloaded, navigate to the "setup.exe" of the driver and Right Click - select Troubleshoot Compatibility  ----
Let the compatibility tool select a possible solution then use its suggestion of TRY RECOMMENDED WINDOWS SETTINGS, if it does not find a solution it will submit only CUSTOMIZE SETTINGS and let you install it as you designate."
The preceding information comes from a Microsoft Windows 7 forum regarding an issue similar to yours.
the information you provided did verify that it is a sound blaster XiFi Extreme card as checked against the Vendor / Device list.

Can't install cc-patches after upgrading to windows 8.1

Hi Adobe-Team,
after upgrading to windows 8.1. I can't install updates and patches of the creative cload programms. I'm able to uninstall programms. I'm able to install programms, but i cant't patche them. Got this message: "Installation erfolgreiche, aber Fehler beim Patch (U44M1I210). I've no idea what to try further more.

Error Code: U44M1I210 means failed to extract the downloaded ZIP file of update.

I'm using an OS X 10.5 Leopard "Upgrade DVD" I bought with the up-to-date program when I bought a 2007 Macbook Pro (3,1) with Tiger bundled.
I tried to use it on my PowerBook G4 500 MHz (PowerBook 3,2), but it gave me the message:
"Mac OS X cannot be installed on this computer"
My upgrade DVD looks like the retail version (aside from the "upgrade DVD" text), and it doesn't have any text explicitly suggesting that it's a restore DVD for any specific model. Can I still assume this is effectively a retail DVD?

Came with 2007 Macbook Pro (3,1) implies that it can't be use with PowerBook G4 500 MHz (PowerBook 3,2). That violates the terms of use. Additionally, it's machine-specific, as described in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2681 If you want to put Leopard on the PB, buy the retail version.

Hi.....my laserjet 1536dnf mfp was working perfectly with win 8 pro....then I installed win 8.1 pro and now the computer ,which is part of a network,can not communicate with the scanner of the printer--it prints just fine. On another computer (running win 7 ) on the same network, the scanner and all other printer functions work just fine.
I have tried installing the latest drivers from HP......scanner still not "communicating" with computer.....also temporarily disabled firewall.....please help...all the best -David G (gossat)

You can also try to install the older version in compatible mode:

Solution: revert your network adapter driver back to an older version

My HP LaserJet 1536 Scanner will not work after upgrading to Windows 10

I just upgraded to Windows 10, and now the scanner will not work, although I can still print. I downloaded the latest driver, but this does not seem to help. The error message I get states that scanner communication cannot be established. Please let me know if you have any suggestions. Thanks!

Greetings , I saw your post regarding the problems you are having with scanning after upgrading to windows 10.
I would start with the simple, have you tried just restarting the computer? Have you made sure your computer has all of it's windows updates? How can I tell if my computer is up to date? Most products do have updated software available for Windows 10, did you install the correct driver?HP LaserJet Full Feature Software and Driver I've also seen a few posts that say the Windows 8.1 driver will work for Windows 10 as well, so you could try that too.  HP provides a free tool called HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and resolve printing and scanning problems. I recommend downloading and running the HP Print and Scan Doctor, if it doesn't fix it automatically let me know what errors or messages you receive.  Do you know if you are able to scan using Paint? (It's the same for Windows 10, from what I've been told)Right-click the Start button () in the lower left corner of the screen, click Search, and then type ...Click Paint in the results.Click File, and then click From scanner or camera.Select your printer, click OK, and then click Scan. Sabertooth is right. If you are able to go online from your Router then you don't need to install LELA software on your Computer.

After upgrading to Windows 8.1 firefox longer works. I got it to load but screen is either blank or doesn't go to target address

after upgrading to Windows 8.1 from 8 nothing works correctly. Firefox 1st received 'unable to load XPcom' After resetting and uninstalling several times Firefox now loads to either a support screen or blank screen. It accepts address input but doesn't execute to target. So far I have been unable to roll back upgrade.
Although IE11 works, it doesn't work correctly.

It is possible that your security software (firewall, anti-virus) blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

If you keep having problems then do a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder before (re)installing a fresh copy of the current Firefox release.
