My macbook pro needed some refreshing. It is working fine now but I had to revert it. This made it so I lost all of my programs. I had CS5.5 Design Premium but not any more. I still have the serial number but don't know where to find a CS5.5 download. Can anyone help me?

No.
Serial numbers are Mac only or Windows only. There is a platform swap process (from Mac to PC etc) but only for CS6.
As a CS5 owner, your choices are to either pay to upgrade to CS6 for Mac or join the Cloud.

Ok so I downloaded the most current installer CS5.1, My previous installer was version 5.0. It did install fine fully updated to my license version. I just wanted to update in case anyone in the future has a similiar experience. Too bad this advice was not offered by the "experts" here.

Now open Adobe.com and go to Products Trials. Click on Acrobat Try now and once the download page appears then paste the above mentioned link in the address bar and then press Enter. Download should start immediately.

Cannot install Photoshop CS5 Trial

Hello all.
I'm desperately searching help to install Photoshop CS5 Trial on my PC. I have Windows Seven Ultimate 32 bit, and any time I try to install the regular setup file downloaded via Adobe's site I get an error message. Another strange issue regarding a message displayed in a dialog box during setup: after the "INSTALL TRIAL" selection there is a dialog box displaying the components to install. There is only the Photoshop voice, with a red X, and after the selection a new message appears in the right side of the dialog, warning me that "THE SELECTED COMPONENTS ARE DISABLED".

Problem Solved!
I simply checked in the "Add/Remove Programs" panel, discovering a previous CS5 installation (some days ago I've installed CS5 suite trial). Yesterday I have discovered this voice in the panel, uninstalled it and now Photoshop CS5 is perfectly installed and working.

Installed PS CS5 on new computer. Can no longer open .NEF files. Plug in won't install

Very frustrated. Bought new computer. Installed PS CS5. It won't open my Nikon 7000 .NEF (RAW) files. Tried to download and install the plug in but keep getting error saying I need to redownload and reinstall Adobe Application Manager. I do that, and still the same issue.
Anyone have any ideas?

Also, when I go to Help/About Plug Ins/Camera RAW, I find that I am supposed to have version 6.0 of the plug in, but there seems to be no way to update that plug in.
So, I went to the website and searched FOR AGES until I found the download page for the updates. First I tried to update to 8.5. No go. So I searched until I found the first version that supported the D7000 .NEF files (6.3). Tried to download that. Got the error message telling me to download and reinstall the download manager. Did so. Tried to download and install 6.3 again. Same error.

I need to re-install PS CS5.5

I was a beta tester. Adobe gave me a copy of CS 5.5 at the end of the Beta trials.
Now something is wrong inside PS Extended CS 5.5 that prevents it from successfully printing with a Samsung CLP-325W color laser printer.
So I think I need to re-install PS from the internet. (or other suggestions) This, under the assumption that something inside has gone bad.
Recent hardware installation: New graphics card. ATI 5770.
Other programs print fine from the same computer. Previous versions of PS print fine. Preview prints fine. Photoshop CS 5.5 starts the printer up, but the sequence doesn't execute entirely and a blank page comes out.
I've zapped the PRAM, repaired disk permissions, re-installed the printer drivers—nothing gets me back to where I was last week when all was printing fine.
So how do I keep all my Actions and internal settings intact while re-installing PS over the net?

I just installed my CS5.1 on my new Lenovo Laptop Win 8.1. Problem -- On Image Adjustments none of the adjustment options respond.

I just installed my CS5.1 on my new Lenovo Laptop Win 8.1. and everything worked for a day. On day 2 I ran into Problems -- On > Image >Adjustments none of the adjustment options respond. None of the toolbar functions such as >Crop etc respond.
I then installed the same download on my PC and everything works as it should.
Can anybody help please

The software worked on the first day, problems appeared next day. I uninstalled and deleted the exe.file, then redownloaded and reinstalled but same problem persists.
I then downloaded and installed on my PC and everything works.

Exit code 6 when installing PS CS5 Extended with Win7

Hi all,
I'm sorry to do this again, I know it is a fairly common problem but I've tried everything and still can't install.
As the subject line states, I'm trying to install PS CS5 Extended on a Win7 machine.
I had installed this same disk successfully on my old computer running Vista but now that I've upgraded my computer, I can't install this program onto it.
I have tried starting win in 'safe mode'
tried 'run as administrator'
tried copying the disk onto the hard drive and running startup from there
tried the clean up file download
tried fixing windows install logs
tried switching off conflicting applications
tried uninstalling anything Adobe, cleaning and then installing
tried turning off all firewalls etc
I'm really at a loss.
If anyone can help me out, that'd be fantastic because I am frustrated and just want to play with my photographs and have some Photoshoppy good fun!

Imogenhodson I would recommend running the Adobe Support Advisor to analyze your installation logs. It will review the logs and attempt to provide a solution to your difficulties. Alternately you can follow the steps listed in Troubleshoot CS5 and CS5.5 installation with install logs. How can I download and re-install Photoshop CS5 Extended Student and Teacher Edition (for Mac) for which I have a licence? I lost the previous version in a disk crash. I tried downloading the full Photoshop CS5 installer, but I was told I couldn't run the installer because I didn't have permission.

Cannot install photoshop cs5 extended on 10.7.3

I am having an issue trying to install photoshop cs5 extended trial on my macbook pro. I was able to download the file from Adobe's website, but when I go to click to install and it asks me for my apple password, as soon as I enter it, the install freezes at 0%. I have tried it numerous times, all with the same result. I have to force quit the application. I am running 10.7.3 with no prior issues up to this point. Any help is highly appreciated.

Re installed photoshop CS5 onto new computer & now plug ins won't work?

I recently bought a new computer & re-installed photoshop CS5.1 successfully, but can't get the plug ins to work (phototools 2.5 & perfect effects 3, which were a free download with purchase). I am running windows 7 64bit. I copied & pasted them into the plug ins folder (in both applications of photoshop - there is the 32 bit version on 'program files (x86)' & the 64 bit version in 'program files'), but neither will work.

You probably won't get those plugins to work by just copying them.
I'd remove the plugins that you copied and pasted and use the phototools 2.5 & perfect effects 3 plugin installers, as they probably install some other files besides just the plugin itself.

Touble re-installing Photoshop CS5

When re-installing Photoshop CS5 on my computer from, http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-product-downloads.html, I get an error message saying "the following disk images coudn't be opened" with the reason being, image not recognized. I used the same site and for Dreamweaver CS5 and it worked just fine.
Any suggestions?
