Re-installing my Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 on my Macbook
I have a Macbook Pro, OSX Version 10.9.2 which does not have a disc drive on it. I would like to reinstall my Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 onto it, but am having difficulty with figuring out how.... can someone PLEASEEE help me with this?

Just user to user....based on past and current history, Adobe Tech Support is not going to help you with a technical issue which is preventing you from using your purchased serial number for Photoshop Elements. Version 12 is not the current version. And, the Adobe Tech Support is limited even for the current version which is 13. If this matter involves a purchased activated serial number trapped on a crashed computer while you are trying to install on a 3rd computer, then probably Adobe Chat Activation can be of assistance. b. Have you verified your Photoshop Elements serial number at the Adobe web site (http://www.adobe.com) - after signing in with your
Adobe ID and Password, type My Products in the Search field and follow the path to your product in My Products. Click on Adobe
Photoshop Elements 12 in your list to reveal the serial number.
c. Do the install with antivirus and firewall(s) disabled.

start at the top and work your way down applying applicable fixes until your problem is resolved.

if, your error is:
"Installer failed to initialize. File not found." or "Installer failed to initialize. This could be due to missing files."
first, rename OOBE Folder to OOBE.old.
to find OOBE:
64 bit win OS: Program Files x86\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE
32 bit win OS: Program Files \Common Files\Adobe\OOBE
mac os: HD>library>application support>adobe>caps
mac os: USER>library>application support>adobe>OOB
if that fails or isn't the exact error you see, uninstall, clean (http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html) and reinstall.
if you're using a dvd to install:
copy the disc contents to a desktop directory and install from that directory.
if you're using a mac:
1. Try to Create a new user account in Mac with Administrator Priviledges.
2. Login to the New user, Navigate to Mac HD> Application> Utilities> Adobe Installer folder, Locate products like Adobe Reader, Adobe Flash, Adobe Air and un-install them
3. Navigate to User Library> Application Support> Adobe and move Adobe to Trash.
4. Navigate to Mac HD> Library> Application Support> Adobe and move Adobe to Trash.
5. Start the installation again.

Is only disc 1 required to install the Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 program? Because when promted to put the 2nd disc in & clicked continue it pops back that the program has successfully installed. I ask because I'm having issues saving a slide show, (WMV file). It gets to about 60% saved and stops??? I even tried installing a 2nd time

I had purchased Adobe Premiere Elements along with Adobe Photoshop Elements for my MacBook Air OSX Mavericks. Due lack of space I had to reiinstall OSX and could not retirieve from Seagate Back-up drive software in workable condition. Options please?

All you should have to do is to go to the Adobe web site http://www.adobe.com.
Sign in with your Adobe ID and Password.
Then go the web page's Search field and type in "My Orders".
Follow the "My Orders" link to your orders, find the order corresponding to the version in question.
There should be an opportunity there to download a new set of installation files.
Do you have your purchased serial number? If not, I am not sure if it will be included in the "My Orders"
area. But, it should be in the "My Products" which you can access from the Search field. Click on the
name of your product in "My Products", and the serial number should be revealed.

The following may help you understand about deleting photos from a library:
Deleting Photos from an iPhoto Library:
1 - from an Event or the Photos mode: select the photo(s) and use the Delete key to move the photos to the trash bin. Then empty the iPhoto Trash bin as follows:
2 - from an album, smart album, book, slideshow, card, etc.: select the photo(s) and use the key combination of Command+Option+Delete to move the photos to the trash bin. Then empty the trash bin as above.
NOTE: deleting a photo from an album, slideshow, book, etc., with only the Delete key only deletes that photo from that item. Deleting a photo from an Event deletes ALL occurences of that photo in the library.

Have searched Adobe website for answer - most recent is 2013 answer, saying no.
Contradicted by a staff ember who only referred to Photoshop, not Elements.
Reason I need it is that iPhoto does not support very high resolution photos - which I have now scanned onto my MacBook and do not want to re-scan!! After 90 minutes at my local Genius bar (lovely folk, very conscientiously searching for an answer...), re-scanning was their final piece of advice.

I understand you are having issues with your HP Monitor on your MAC. I am providing you with an HP Support document: Updating a Monitor Driver, where it states under the sub-heading Using HP monitors on a Mac "HP monitors are not supported in a Mac environment. However, newer Macs use graphics with VESA modes and can display to most HP LCD monitors. To do this, connect the monitor to the Mac while the Mac is off, and then turn on the MAC. The monitor should operate at 60Hz. The INF and software for the HP monitor are for Microsoft Windows and cannot be run in a standard MAC OS environment."
This being said all I can advise is that you check to see that the monitor is set to operat at 60Hz and contact Apple for assistance if that does not get your monitor displaying correctly.

I'm trying to install Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 on my new MacBook Air, but have no cd drive. Is there a way to download this without a cd drive?
Trials of almost all software are available for download from the manufacturer's website. That's one of the reasons that the MacBook Air has no DVD drive.
Invariably the website trials are more up to date than the physical disk so you often don't have to install updates after the initial install.
Visit the website and follow the links. Or just use Google to find it. -

Trouble re-installing my Adobe Photoshop Element 9
I made a careless mistake few months ago by uninstalling my Adobe Photoshop Element 9 from my computers without deactivating the serial numbers first. Now I am trying to re-install the software again but I keep getting a message that I need to de-activate the copies from one of the computers before I can install the software on this computer. What happened was my computers got very slow so I thought that by uninstalling some of the softwares on my computers would help speed up the machines. Evidently I was wrong. Can someone please help me and tell me what to do? I'd appreciate it very much.
