Re-installing Photoshop gets error 213:5

My HD crashed last week. Replaced it yesterday. Re-downloaded Photoshop CS5 twice last night and twice this morning (2x each for 2 different links) and each time I get error message 213:5 -- I'm in HOUR SIX of trying to get back the software I paid for and have used almost every day for the past 3 years. I want to get back to work. How?

In the summary of what the chat is for, I'd put something like "Error 213:5 installing Photoshop on new computer", and leave out that it's CS5 unless they ask, so they can't immediately tell you know because that version is no longer supported. In their mind you paid for it years ago and that revenue has long since been spent, so someone taking time to help you on an obsolete product is being nice since they have so many people using the newer products. Hopefully you'll get someone nice that'll help you.
I think Twitter is more about monitoring announcements of system outranges or scheduled maintenance, or for widespread problem just after a major release.

Have you updated your iTunes on your computer? WIth a device running iOS7, you need iTunes 11.
When you removed iTUnes, did you see something named 'apple mobile device support' or something like it? (The exact name varies from operating system to operating system). If you see that, uninstall it too. That's the drivers for your iPhone and they should self-install when you plug your device in.
If all that is fine, have you checked your cable and USB port? a malfunctioning cable can keep you from syncing.

How do I launch trial software? I get Error: 213:5

I downloaded Illustrator CC and Photoshop CC trail and neither one will launch, I get Error 213:5 on both programs. I tried the Finder to SLStore permissions, and still nothing. Any ideas?
Configuration error, but no clue how to get it configured correctly.

These ones are typically caused by underlying problems on the PC that also often cause Windows Updates to fail to install. If we can fix the Windows Update trouble, we can usually get the iTunes trouble cleaned up en passant.
Go into your Windows update and try to check for new updates. If updates install, stock up on the ones you're behind on, restarting the PC if requested to do so. After the restart, try installing iTunes again. Does it go through this time for you?
If windows updates fail to install, go into your Update History and doubleclick the failures. What alphanumeric codes appear for you? (For example, 8007000B.)

Bought Adobe software a few weeks ago, but when I try to launch (after "successful" install), I continue to receive the following error message when I click on the Editor: Error: 213:5
Help appreciated.
Have found Adobe Support to be absolutely sub-par (by-any standard).
Now a FORMER Dreamweaver, PhotoshopSuite and Elements user.
Anybody want to buy some shares of a worthless corporate stock?
"Hats-off" to those who pirate, at least they get software at the cost for what it's worth, ZERO.
I, on the other hand, had to pay dearly for the privilege of buying this junk.
Somehow, Adobe may resolve this dysfunctional issue (by deleting my support request), hah.

Installing Photoshop CS6 error?

I got these error messages while installing photoshop CS6, and illustrator cs6 on my laptop.
ERROR: DW050: - Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x64): Install failed

After I read about this error message, I was able to download (86) version from Microsoft's web, since it was installing it as a new, but failed to install (64) since it was trying to
repair it, and failed.
I have Windows 7 on my laptop.
I was able to open programs, and I am not sure what the consequences are of these errors.

Installing Photoshop 5 -- Error on launch

I am trying to install Photoshop 5 on an XP machine. It installs fine.
However, once it starts I get an error message saying "Adobe Photoshop has encountered a problem" and must be closed.
Any ideas how to fix this issue?

Are you talking about photoshop cs5 or the old photoshop 5?
Is xp updated to the sp3 service pack?
Do you notice if the splash (startup) screen is hanging in a particular spot (ie Reading preferences) or does the startup screen complete and photoshop opens, but then you get that message?
