Re-installing premiere elements on a new computer

Hi. I bought Premiere Elements from the Adobe sight, about a half a year ago. now my computer broke down, and I want to install Premiere Elements again. I don't know how to do it and I can't find the serial number. I do have the emails sent to me from the sight while buying. What should I do?

What version of Premiere Elements and on what computer operating system?
The key is the purchased serial number.
If the program was installed successful before it is likely to be registered automatically at Adobe.
Go to the adobe web site http://www.adobe.com.
Sign In.
In the Search field, type in My Products and navigate to My Products and your products.
When you get to the list, look for the name of your version of Premiere Elements.
Click on the name of that product to reveal the serial number.
Did you purchase the product from Adobe? If so, you should be able to get new installation files,
this time under the Search for My Orders. There are alternate places to get new installation files, but
let us start here with getting the serial number as the key issue.
How many computers do you have that purchased serial number on - just the broken down computer?
Adobe allows for the same purchased activated serial number on no more than 2 of your computers.
If this matter is involved, then you may have to contact Adobe via its Adobe Chat to get the purchased
activated serial on the broken down computer off your "count".

But, I would clarify this Deactivation business as it relates to Premiere Elements 4.
True, Adobe allows you to use your purchased serial number on no more than 2 computers at a time.
With the later versions, you need to go to the opened project and deactivate the program with Help Menu/Deactivate or Help Menu/Sign Out (version 12).
There is no Help Menu/Deactivate in the workspace to do for Premiere Elements 4. The deactivation option may or may not be offered you in an initial uninstall dialog during uninstall.
So what did you do about Premiere Elements 4 on the old computer? Uninstall with or without the deactivate option selected in one of the uninstall dialogs?
Depending on your answer, you may not have to contact Adobe about this type of matter.

My laptop crashed and I bought a new PC, but I can't find the key code for my Premier Elements 4.0 disk so it won't let me install it. What can I do (without being required to buy a new one)?

No way around using Premiere Elements 4.0 without the purchased serial number.
So, let us see if we can find the serial number. From what you wrote, you have been using this Premiere Elements 4 copy before
on another computer. So, the product and the serial number "should" be registered at Adobe.
Go to the Adobe web site http://www.adobe.com, sign in, and, in the Search field, type in My Products.
Follow the My Products search until you reach the page with a listing of your products.
When (if) you see Adobe Premiere Elements 4.0 there, click on it. The serial number should be revealed.
Please let us know the outcome.

Installing Photoshop Elements on a new computer

The hard drive on which my copy of Photoshop Elements 6 was installed has crashed and cannot be restored. I will receive a new computer tomorrow and wish to install the program on that. How do I deactivate the program and reactivate it on the new computer?

There is no activation for PSE 6 unless you bought your serial number via the Buy It Now button in the trial, so you can just go ahead and install it.

Installing LR5 & Elements 10 on new computer

Last year I upgraded from LR3 to LR5 (upgrade version) running on a PC. I need a new PC and I am thinking of going for an iMac. I know the disks have both PC & Mac versions on them…my question is…do I need to install the LR3 version first, then install version 5, or can I just install version 5 and enter the product key for version 5...I presume Elements 10 will be ok as a straight install!

Installed Photoshop Elements 10 on new computer and clone tool smears dark spots around photos. Spot healing brush smears dark colors around. Lighten and contrast work ok. Have deleted program and reinstalled but same problems.

Anybody have suggestions as I am stumped?

On the clone tool's option bar, top left, click on the little triangle. Since you are having a problem with two tools, suggest that you reset all tools. Let us know whether or not this resolves the issue.

How to install adobe photoshop elements 12 and adobe premiere elements 12 on a computer with no cd drive?

A few months ago I bought Adobe Photoshop elements 12 and Adobe premiere elements 12 to my old laptop. But a few weeks ago I had to buy a new computer and that one has no cd drive :S How can I install my programs on my new computer?

There isn't much good news to offer. The first mention below is probably your only shot without purchase, unless you could find someone to transfer licenses with.
You won't be able to install a Windows version on the Mac unless you install some Windows emulation software on the Mac.
You won't be able to activate a Mac version of the software on the machine because your license/serial number is only valid for Windows.
CS5 is too old to qualify for a platform swap and Adobe no longer sells CS5 so you would have to take your chances with a third party vendor if you decided to purchase a Mac version.
Just to clarify, there is no such thing as a student version of the software... the license dictates the status of the software. So you won't be able to find a student version either

Cannot install premiere elements 10 on my new macbook pro

cannot install premiere elements 10 on my new macbook pro. keep getting exit code 7 half way through installation and disc ejects. running OS X 10.7.2 (lion). have installed acrobat reader, flash player, tried safe start mode...nothing works...HELP!

Yes ..thats the log in Library/Logs/adobe/installers/
The log is called
Adobe Premiere Elements 10 10.0 12-01-2011.log.gz
it has more entries in that one log but they relate to earlier fails and are identical each time....
there is a photoshop log in there as well (I bought the bundle) but that installed succesfully.
It clearly falls over trying to install Sonicfire pro 5 for premiere elements but WHY is the question
I really dont know what else to suggest...curious that the original poster on this thread had the same error on install as me it seems on a macbook pro
I really would like this to be sorted obviously if possible as soon as possible given I paid for t and cant use it
any other thoughts?

I can't install Premiere Elements {new purchase} because of "Error 2350. 'FDI Server Error.'"

I can't install Premiere Elements {new purchase} because of "Error 2350. 'FDI Server Error.'" I cannot "ignore" I can only abort. Adobe says that my purchase is not supported even though it's new. Help anyone?

What is the computer operating system involved? Can we assume Premiere Elements 12 as the new purchase? And, are you trying to install from an installation disc or from purchased online downloaded installation files?
I have not run into Error 2350. FDI Server Error before, but here are some links that talk about Error 2350. Please see if any of them apply to your situation.

You are allowed to have two activated installations. If you happened to have one on this Windows 8 machine before, it is possible that the activation used for it was never deactivated (did you deactivate it before you upgraded Windows?). Talk to Adobe support thru chat. They might be able to resolve this with you:

What are the computer operating systems involved? Are you installing from installation files (from online download purchase) or from installation disc
(from purchase in boxed packaging)? Answers to those questions would probably get you the best possible answer to your question.
If installation files.....
You are not going to be able to install a Premiere Elements Windows purchased serial number on a Mac computer or a Premiere Elements Mac
purchased serial number on a Windows computer.
If installation discs...
Box packaging typically comes with two installation discs....one for Windows and one for Mac. In this type of situation, typically you use one
serial number for them both. If that is the case, then the following applies...
Adobe allows you to use the same purchased activated serial number on no more than 2 of your computers. And, you do not use them at the same time.
If you are dealing with two computers with the same operating system, then you should be able to use that same purchased serial number for that operating system on no more than 2 of your computers. Again, you do not use them at the same time.

Installing old Photoshop Elements on a new computer

I have an old version of Photoshop Elements and a new MAC. It was previously installed on my PC which crashed. But the new MAC won't let me install this software - it tells me there is an error with the install.

OK... so this is an OLD version - it is 4.0 (2006). My MAC is running OS X Version 10.8.2. The installation begins and some of the files begin installing then it quits and the message reads: "The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance."
