Re-installing teredo after un-installing due to error 10

I had a problem with a Teredo tunnelling adaptor- apparently an error 10 - and followed the instructions I found in help. I am not very experienced in this field and soon found myself lost in some of the explanations and jargon. The directions given
told me to update the driver, try troubleshooting and if this did not work, un-install and then try re-installing. I did all of this, but ended up without being able to find how to find the Teredo to re-install. Could
you possibly help? It would also be extremely helpful if you could possibly point me in the right direction to find understandable literature explaining exactly what all this is about.
The error stated was that it was possibly configured incorrectly and could not start up.
Thank you for your time and patience.

Hi walkerlaw1,
Am not sure what files you have saved to the Cloud. Is it the setup file or the Folder in your Program Files?
Adobe recommends archiving the setup file for future use.
Acrobat 8 Std. is no longer available on our website to download. If you have purchased an Electronic Download (ESD) version from Adobe then you can login to your account on Adobe and find the download link in your Adobe account. Yes, this would be the same program you purchased. And as recommended by your computer tech, you can download and install Acrobat 8 Std. and then run the updater within the program to update it to the latest patch.

Why can't I install apps after I installed IOS 5? The app sits there waiting..

This too started to happen to me when I upgraded iOS 5 and moved to iCloud.
I have since purchased 3 apps and got the waiting que and nothing.
I noticed though that with my Mac on, I went to IPad settings/general/iTunes sync and sync now, suddenly the three apps started o download and install. Why it's doing this I'm not sure until I dig a bit deeper.

  • Can't install OSX after I installed new hard drive

Okay so my 2009 MacBook pro would not start up, took it to the genius bar and they said I need a new hard drive. I installed a Western Digital blue Scorpio one from Best Buy and now when I turn on the computer I just get a flashing folder with a question mark.  I've tried holding down c or option when rebooting, and rebooting with and without the OSX install DVD. I'm never given any options and it either starts up to a blank screen or to the question mark. What am I doing wrong?

You need to prep the drive first:
    Drive Preparation and Installation
    1. Boot from your OS X Installer Disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button.  When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
    2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area.  If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing.  SMART info will not be reported  on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
    3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
    4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
    5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Security button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
    6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.
    7. Quit DU after formatting and return to the installer. Install Snow Leopard.
Booting From An OS X Installer Disc
    1. Insert OS X Installer Disc into the optical drive.
    2. Restart the computer.
    3. Immediately after the chime press and hold down the "C" key.
    4. Release the key when the spinning gear below the dark gray Apple logo appears.
    5. Wait for installer to finish loading.

I create a file creator-2004q2-windows-en.sp or Creator-ea-windows-en.sp with is.debug=1, but still no install.log. how to deal with this.

Given the archive name, the platform is windows.

  • Install iTunes After Re-Installing Windows 7

I am going to be reinstalling Win7 from scratch.  I will wipe everything out and reinstall.  What do I have to backup or make copies of, so that I can keep all my iTunes stuff?
I've looked to see where my Media folder location is.  I have music and audio books as my primary media assets.  When I look in this folder I see some music and some audio books, but not all.  I can understand the music since I had a bunch of ripped CDs that I added to the library and did not have them copied in.  I thought my audible books were all under control of audible, but I see some of them in the iTunes media folder, but not all.
I've noticed that when I download an audible book using audible software, it is automatically added to the itunes library.
I am trying to figure out what filies/folders I should backup to minimize the work of returning my iTunes to what it looks like now.
BTW, I am doing ther reinstall of Windows 7 because I'm running 32bit and want 64bit.  I'm not sure if the Win install would just allow me to "upgrade" but I figure tthis is a good opportunity to clean out a lot of crap.
BTW, I currently have 3 devices that sync wiht iTunes: 2 iPhones and one iPod.

I just noticed I have on another drive the following directories:
    E:\iTunes\Music\Audiobooks
    E:\iTunes\Music\Music
These libraries contain the missing audiobooks and music, or at least appear to.  I haven't crosschecked to see that everything is there.  I wonder why I have this data there?  I don't see a place in iTunes to configure it to look there.

  • SCCM 2012 R2 MDT 2013 Install Features after OS Install

I have a question in regards to installing Features on Windows Servers Post OS Install/OSD.
I have MDT 2013 integrated with SCCM 2012 R2. I have created a MDT TS doing the following:
Microsoft Deployment Custom Task Sequence (All other ones were for OSD)
I removed all the steps in the TS except for the "Use Toolkit Package"
Added Several MDT Sequence for Install Roles and Features, Selected SNMP for Server 2008, 2008 R2, 2008 R2 Core, 2012, 2012 R2.
Removed the boot image since it is not needed.
    Deployed to my Test Collection.
I see the TS Running on the test servers but when I check Server Manager the SNMP is still not installed even though software center shows installed on the TS.
Am I missing something here? Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks!!

Disregard my previous post. I was tinkering with the Compliance Settings and corrected my ignorance.
    Here were my steps:
    Create Configuration Item
General: Put the name, Set Type to Window, filter set to "Server"
Supported Platforms: All servers 2008 and newer
    Settings: Name,
    Discovery Script -PowerShell
    $FeatureName = "SNMP-Service"
    If (Get-WindowsFeature | Where {$_.State -eq "Enabled" -and $_.FeatureName -eq $FeatureName})
        $Compliance = "Compliant"
    Else {
        $Compliance = "NonCompliant"
    Return $Compliance
    Remediation Script - PowerShell
    $FeatureName = "SNMP-Service"
    Import-Module ServerManager
    Install-WindowsFeature -Name $FeatureName -IncludeAllSubFeature
Compliance Rule: Name, Rule Type = Value, Must Comply Equals Compliant, Checked Run remediation script when not compliant, set Reports to Information
Created Config Baseline, Assigned Config Item for SNMP Service and then deployed to my Servers.

  • Cannot install software after re-installing Tiger

I recently had to wipe my hard drive clean and reinstall Tiger.
Ever since then installing new software does not work. Whether from Apple (wireless mouse driver) or a third party (stuffit) I double click the open box icon labeled install X and I get an error 10660 message.
Anyone know what this means and how to fix it?
I have a lot of drivers and utilities to install.
    Matt

Cornellius: Your link looks like exactly what I need, however I got "can't find link" message and a "Looking for something in the Discussion Boards?" message. Any tips?
Allan: I started having trouble with my iBook G4 running 10.4.7 not shutting down properly. I ran Disk Utility a couple of times for temporary fixes. Then the iBook wouldn't start. It couldn't find the system folder. I could start on some utility disks, (Norton's, TechTool, Tiger Install with Disk Utility) but none of them could fix it. Something about error upon exit. I took it to the Genius Bar at the local Apple Store and the Genius there tried Disk Genius and Disk Warrior and got some scarey infinitely repeating message in red ink saying there was damaged key something-or-others. He recommended I do an erase install of my hard drive. Which I did and everything works fine. Luckily I have a back up schedule and didn't lose much. Mostly just preferences and my some keychain passwords.
And of course the problem I outline here. I have some utilities I need to install but all the ones that have that open box icon won't open. I get the erro message quoted in Cornelius' message.
    Thanks everyone!

  • Problems Installing CS3 after CS4 install.

About 3 weeks ago or so i downloaded the beta for Dreamweaver CS4. And just a couple of days ago i tried to reinstall Flash CS3 from my CS3 Master Suite and i got this message.
Component install failed. The original installation media has been moved or deleted. Please replace the media at its original location: C:\Documents and Settings\Lucas\Desktop\AdobeCS4\Dreamweaver CS4 Beta\payloads\AdobeALMAnchorService2-mul\AdobeALMAnchorServices2-mul.msi
Right now i am trying to uninstall the DW CS4 but has anyone ran into a problem like this or have any advise on how i can fix this?

    >SURELY that is implied?
Absolutely not! My guess is that the average user knows what "beta" means and the implication not to use it for real work, just in case. If they can take the time to warn you about that then they could at least let us know of potential problems in simply removing the damn thing. In fact, not so much removing it, I can live with it on my machine, it's the realization that it can seriously interfere with further installations - of their own software! If I remember correctly the beta release was displayed prominently on the Adobe homepage - "BE THE FIRST TO TRY IT!" or something similar, the implication, to my mind, is that it's safe to download.
With my fingers crossed, I hope that my upgrade to CS4 will be trouble free so it may not be a problem, but it obviously is to Lucas at the moment. I've downloaded numerous betas and removed them without any problem and assumed Dreamweaver CS4 would be the same. As I said, the average user thinks of the bugs being in the operation of the program. I now know that there's much more risk involved (with Adobe at least) and I'll be more cautious in the future.

  • Getting kernal panic when trying to install OS after HDD install

I just replaced the HD in an iBook G3 I have laying around with a toshiba 40gb. The install went fine and I formatted it in disk utility using mac os x extended (journaled). I ran it for errors and it checked out fine. I also ran the apple hardware test CD and everything checked out there too.
The problem is I am getting a kernal panic no matter what I do. I started off installing 10.3 and the first disc installs fine, but then when it restarts it gets an instant kernal panic. I tried 10.4 with the same results. Then I tried the 10.2 discs that the iBook came with and it would get the very last step of the install on the 1st disc and would not go any farther. It said "one minute remaining" for over an hour.
I have taken a picture of the error log that shows up and you can see it at the following link:
The top line got cut off but it says "panic(cpu 0): Unable to find driver for this platform: "PowerBook4,3"
Like I said, everything checks out hardware wise and i have tried three different versions of OS X. I'm at a loss of what to do so any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Did you format the hard drive before attempting the installation(s)?
In order to format the hard drive:
Start up from the Install disc by holding down the c key as the startup chime is ending. Hold down the c key until you see the progress indicator (which looks like a spinning gear).
In Tiger, select the language and continue. (In Panther, click continue, but do not go further.)
In Tiger, go to the Utilities menu (in Panther, the Installer menu) and open Disk Utility.
Click on the top hard drive icon in the left side panel.
Choose the "Partition" tab in order to format the drive to a single partition.
    Click the Options button.
For PowerPC Macs, choose "Apple Partition Map." For Intel Macs, choose "GUID Partition Table."
    Click OK.
Choose to format as one partition.
Name the hard drive by typing the name in the "Name" field.
Choose Mac OS Extended (Journaled) as the Volume Format.
    Click on the "Partition" button.
    Choose Erase tab.
Select the named volume of your hard drive in the left-side panel. (The hard drive icon which appears under the top hard drive icon.)
    Click "Erase."
The hard drive is now ready for the installation of the OS.
Go to First Aid Tab and Repair Disk, then Repair Disk Permissions.
    Quit Disk Utility.
Be certain to use either the install discs that came with the iBook or a retail version of the later OS. Installation discs made for other Mac models may not work on the iBook.
    Good luck.

  • Installation problem; can't install anything after failed install

    Hi everybody,
I have just changed computer and I tried to instal Cubase LE4 on my new macbook air running on OS X Mavericks (10.9.2).
I have encouter similar problems of others that tried the same operation on SL years ago, namely: when the installation started, it went well, but in the end it will say 'install time remaining; about a minute'. No matter how long I leave it (literally hours), the loading bar won't move an inch, even though it looks like it's loading.
Now I have to force quit to get rid of the screen.
However every time I try to install something else the problem is still there. The installer tells application says: "Waiting for other installetion to complete".
I can't install any other program.
Here's the link to the old post:

The solution proposed on that post do not work for me unfortunately.  I was wondering if anybody has some new solutions.
    Thanks

  • Installation problems: can't install anything after failed install.

I believe this may have been posted before, but I have a different OS than in the question I read so I thought I should ask again.
I have a Macbook Pro running OS X Lion (late 2011) and a while ago I was dumb and decided to install old Cubase LE 4 software onto my brand new Macbook. The installation stalled with "less than one minute remaining", I force quit, tried several more times, and ever since then I can't install anything else. I heard of some hotfix that can remedy this problem, but since I have the new OS I was wondering if that would still work.
    Any suggestions/answers are greatly appreciated.

  • Will my Bootcamp Windows Install Remain after SSD Install

I currently have a i5 Mac Mini 5.1 with the standard 500gb hard drive installed. Presently the drive is split as 340gb for OSX and 160gb for Windows 8.1 running under Bootcamp. My plan is to install a 250gb SSD in addition to the original 500gb HDD onto which I will clone over my current OSX install, then format the 340gb partition onto which I will then move over my home folder and files whilst keeping the SSD for OSX and applications for optimum performance. My plan is to leave the Bootcamp partition as it is.
My question is will the 160gb Windows 8.1 Bootcamp partition still work or will I have to wipe that partition and start again by re-bootcamping my mac?
Any help and advice is greatly appreciated.
    John

    Hi Bobthefisherman
Thanks for the reply. That's a real pain having to have them on the same drive as I was hoping to keep the SSD purely for OSX and its applications.
    Thanks

I was prompted to update itunes this evening. I did and in the process, it came up with the following error message: Service "apple mobile device" (apple mobile device) failed to start. Verify you have sufficient priviledges to start system services. I unistalled itunes completly and reinstalled but am still getting the same error message. If I click "ignore" the program will finish downloading but will not launch due to "not being installed correctly".
