Re-installing the PSE 11

when doing so, I always get the error-message 'specific path is empty'.
When starting the installer, it only offers the de-installation of PSE 11; never the INSTALLATION.
I've worked on the de-installation with special de-installer-programm, that normally kills everything.
I deleted all registry-entries concerning PSE. Problem is not resolved.
I think that there is a hidden location, where the first install puts some information, that forces the installer only to offer DE-INSTALLATION, but i can't find out, whre it is.
I also tried creating a new user-account with admin-rights. No result.
I hope somebody can help

How restrict help to the PSE 9 Editor?

When I search for something in the PSE 9 Editor help system I get results for Orgainizer (which I never use) and Premier Elements (which I do not own). How can I restrict the help system so that it only returns results for the PSE 9 Editor?
The only method I have found is to use local help only and only install the PSE 9 help file. While I can live with that if I must it is certainly not the ideal solution.

Hello, I have been experiencing similar problems and followed the suggestion and yes, the raw icon comes up as illustrated but there is nothing there to indicate any further action can be taken. So I am presuming that means it is installed and no further action required?
Here's my problem: I have had no problems getting my pics into my organiser in Elements 12 from either my Nikon D7100 or my Fujifilm X100S - until last week. Suddenly when they are imported all I see is the timer icons but they don't open to let me view them. If I click on one it will open and I can then edit it but it will not save an image onto the grid for me to view so it's really frustrating not being able to view all my photos in order to decide what to edit and compare them.
Here's what action I've taken so far - restarted the computer (endlessly), checked the updates and installed them, checked I have the latest raw plug in (I do) and gone into edit/update thumbnail (doesn't do a thing) - and torn out a fair amount of my hair. So anyone out there experienced this and can give me some advice? Please?

PSE 6 for Mac, how to install the new layer mask tool

I just bought the new PSE 6 for Mac, whew what a change in the color of workspace.
My classmates and I are wondering how to install the free layer mask tool that Sue Chastain has on her About site.
Or perhaps first, has anyone used it and do you like it?

I was hoping it was platform agnostic, but when I looked at this, the difference between the 2 versions,

How to Install Elements 5 Without Installing the Flash Player that is On the Photoshop Elements 5 CD

Having just changed the operating system here from Microsoft Windows XP Pro to Microsoft Windows 7 Pro (64 bit), it is desirable to install the Existing Photoshop Elements 5, Without Installing the Flash Player and Adobe Reader programs on the Elements 5 CD. The Elements 5 Setup Wizard does not appear to offer an option to "uncheck" or otherwise prevent the Flash Player and Adobe Reader programs from being installed. It is not desirable to install and then uninstall the unwanted Flash Player and Adobe Reader programs. It is also not desirable to purchase a newer version of Elements at this time.

If you cancel out of the Setup Wizard and then go to Start>Computer and right click on the cd and choose explore, you should be able to go to the folder
that has photoshop elements 5 and run the Installer or Setup.exe and bypass all the other out of date stuff like flash and adobe reader.
Also, after installing pse 5 you'll want to apply the 5.02 patch so pse 5 runs better on windows 7.
(it says for vista, but works on windows 7 x64 as well)

How to install the widget development plug-in Tool -URGENT

Hi I am new to the widget development.
I have already installed the NWDS7.0 SP9 , doing the development for the webdynpro and protal .
To work on widgets i have found the pulgins in the following url in the zip format.

SAP Widget Development Tools - zip file.zip file when i unzipp this file i have got the following dirctory structure.

When i copied these whole directory in my IDE installed plugin directory
C:Program FilesSAPIDEIDE70eclipseplugins
then i restarted the my IDE . But i have nt find any prospective or plugin enable with respect to widget.
I have went through the widget development guide (SAP Enterprise widget development guide.pdf). There it is explained that download the eclipse3.3.1 and then extract the eclipse.
so it is really confusing how to proceed.
My question is , will it be possible to installed the plugins with the installed NWDS by copy the plug-in tool (when i doo that it is not working, because when we extract it is giving 3 directory's seperatly "features, plugin, site.xml". do we need to copy this way to IDE plugin directory.) If i done this it is not workng?
or
Do i need to install the Eclipse seperately to install this widget development plugin.
Please help me to setup the eclipse development setup.

But which version of jdk is supported by SP3 is not given at the site.
Do u have any idea, if i install the CE7.1 SP3. and then can i install the SAP widget Foundation also along with that.

In the SAP Widget foundation guide has given the steps for the installation.
But the url it has given will be going open in the SAP networkonly.

The PSE 10 process doesn't stop after closing the application. Why??

On Windows 7, the PSE 10 process doesn't stop when closing the application, therefore the PSE 10 app. will not restart once it is closed. The user must stop the process from task manager or reboot before PSE 10 can be restarted on a Windows 7 machine. The forum suggestion to double-click the exe (instead of the shortcut) as a solution, obviously isn't a solution and can't work. There are no updates to PSE 10 and the only access to any support is through this forum. There have been complaints about this on blogs all over the Internet. Why can't Adobe come up with a fix/update or if they have where is it posted?

First of all, there is no difference between the files on the disk and those downloaded as the trial. The only difference is that one comes with a serial number and the other does not. You can put your serial number into the trial version and it will then be activated. The only way the disk would behave differently is if there is some physical flaw (scratches, warping, etc). Usually such damage will cause the installation to fail, it's pretty difficult for such damage to modify the files in such a way that they still install but behave differently.
If you are dropping a file on the shortcut and the Photoshop Elements Editor is opening but the file is not, there could be a few different things going on there. Check your shortcut properties first: does it go to PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe or Photoshop Elements 10.0.exe? If the former, then there are probably some missing support files. If the latter, this is the Welcome Screen, which has likely been configured to launch the Editor automatically. However, you would be sending the file to the Welcome Screen, which doesn't do anything with the file. It is not capable of passing the file off to the Editor, only capable of launching it.
Also, double-clicking a shortcut is generally the exact same thing as double-clicking the file the shortcut points to, but you can add modifiers to shortcuts to make them behave differently.

Where do I install the Camera Raw plug in for Mac?

I'm not sure my question relates to Elements, but here goes:
I recently installed CS4 for Mac and have Elements as well. When opening Adobe Acrobat I keep getting a message from Adobe that it has an update for Camera Raw and I choose to install it. However, I invariably get a message that Camera Raw cannot be found on my computer. Should it have been part of the CS4 installation I made, part of Elements, and now somehow it's not there? I have downloaded the 4.6 Camera Raw update and have the plug in on my desktop, but I'm not sure where I should install it? Whether I should or should not install it? Whether there's a Camera Raw application that missed the installation process?
As you see, I'm pretty much in the dark as to this Camera Raw deal. Any tips from someone out there?

Elements can never, never update ACR automatically the way bridge and PS CS can. You need to download and install the plug-in manually and you need to be sure you have the correct version for PSE. You can find it here:

You don't say which version of PSE you have, but most versions can use a newer plug-in than the list states ( you can use the latest version in PSE 6, for example).
If you have PSE 6 or 8, bridge will autoupdate the plug-in if you go to Help>Updates.

Premiere Elements 10 install require PSE trial to install?

On the Customer Information screen of the Premiere Elements setup there is a check box at the bottom labeled "Install Photoshop Elemtns 10 (Trial)" that is checked, but greyed out so I can't uncheck it. I don't want to install the Photoshop Elements 10 trial because I already have a licensed copy of Photoshop Elements 10 installed. Is there a way to install Premiere Elements 10 without installing the Photoshop Elements 10 trial?
Note that this is not the package that contains both Photoshop Elements 10 and Premiere Elements 10. I purchased both products individually.

If you use a trackpad and don't want to switch to a mouse, you can uninstall and reinstall all day long and will still have problems, but if you really want to try it, you can download PSE 12 here:

Custom cookie cutter shape install in PSE 11?

I need some help. I've spent 2 hours online and I can't find an answer. I need a cookie cutter of a full bow tie. Not the outline one like the one tha's pre-installed in PSE shapes/cookie cutter.
1. How/where do I look for more cookie cutter shapes? What are they called in search?
2. How do I install them?
3. How do I find them once installed so that I can cookie cutter out bow ties out of patterened papers?

Help Needed To re-install my PSE 10. new OS (Win 8.1).

I am trying to re-install my PSE 10. I am having difficulty in doing this. There are two separate files. I have a new OS (Win 8.1). The live chat person had me download both files. Now what do I do? Can someone walk me through this process? Thank you for your time and help. Much appreciated!

hey kglad, thank you for that info. I am still having a problem. I did as the agent told me and copied both files to a folder I created on my desktop. I then selected both files and extracted the files. But nothing. Can you please tell me how to do this with a bit more detail, as I am not pc literate very much. Thank you for your time and help. Sincerely appreciate both! p.s.. when I click "open" it asks me what program do I want to open the file(s) with.
