Re: Internal Batch Generation for Process Order while release

Hi All,
While releasing the Process Order I intend that the system should create a Internal Batch. But this is not happening.
I have checked all the necessary configs  for this purpose. Still Invain.
Please Advice,
Vivek

You can check the production scheduling details in CORY transaction, here in Batch management section for Automatic batch creation in order should be with value "2".

Vivek,
Did you check the points mentioned by me.
1. OMCZ
2. Check whether you have assigned that production scheduling profile to your material?

  • Internal Batch Generation for Process Order while release not happening

    Hi all
While releasing Iam having the problem that the system is not generating automatically the batch for the components, I have mantained CORY for production scheduling profile Batch management section for Automatic batch creation in order with value "2". and assigned this to the material (The material to be produced) work scheduling MM View. Also I have activated OMCZ, is there any config I'm missing to the components?
While releasing I get this error "You must enter the batch for material XXX" and XXX is the component in the BOM.
    Please advise.
    Regards

    Julio:
if you dont want to create the product batch , so in the scheduling proflie select "NO automatic Batch creation....", or just dont use the profile in the product material master (Transactions CORY and MM02) . If the batch mgmt is active for this product, then SAP ask you for a batch number at goods receipt.
For the component, in the view MRP 2 (MM02) in the field "batch entry" select "3" - Automatic batch determination. You shoud have previously defined some Batch determination rule and so on. Or you can initially select "2", to make a manual selection. This must be used only in those component whose batch number must be determined in advance.
    Hope this helps

  • Issues during Component Batch Determination for Process Orders

    Hi,
I am encountering a strange issue during component batch determination of process order.
    1. During creation of process order, when I execute batch determination, systems does determination based on strategies we have set and when I click on Copy it gives an error
"Log cannot be saved: Object/subobject not specified"
    Message no. BL201
    *Diagnosis
Log save cancelled because at least one log contains no object or subobject.
Object and subobject are needed to classify application logs because there are several log types. Only a few logs are managed in main memory at runtime, so this classification is not needed.
If the logs are to be saved in the database, object/subobject must be specified for later retrieval.
    Procedure for System Administration
Object/sub object can be passed when a log is created (function module BAL_LOG_CREATE) and changed with BAL_LOG_CHANGE.
The possible values for object and sub object must be configured in transaction SLG0.*
If I save the order with CRTD status and come back again in change mode and do determination, It works fine.
Again when the order is in REL status and do the determination, It gives the same error.
This happens only for a specific plant, In other plants batch determination works in all scenarios.
I checked for all plant related Config for batch determination and coudn't find any discrepancies.
Please advise how to resolve this issue. Thanks in advance for your help

There Is no direct solution for your requirement just try this work around.
While defining the batch determination search strategy for process order in COB1, there is one column Quantity proposal where you can attach the Routines (This is written in ABAB code )  make use of this, define New Routines with ABAB help to fulfill your requirement. Try this if found useful award full points.

  • Batch determination for process orders

    Hi All,
My requirement is complete batch batch is proposed in process order  batch determination even though the requirement is of less qty.
For example the required qty. for component XYZ is 20 units but the available batch is of 40 units. Now requirement is that no batch splitting should happen & complete batch of 40 units is determined.
This is required to do Material quantity calculation.

  • Batch determination for process order URGENT!!!!!!!!!!

    All,
I have a strange situation. The condition in the selection criteria is Exp.date >10Days.But when the process order is released the batch is picked which has a past expiration date .what might have gone wrong? Please guide .Thanks
    -Naik

    Naik,
In format is your exp date. Is it a date or is it number of days after expiry.
Check this first in the charactristics. Are you using the std BATCH_SELECT class for selection criteria. In this the
expiration date is of DATE data type. So how can you give > 10 days.
    Try giving like this:
    < 17.06.2007

  • FEFO logic in batch determination for process order release

Batch determination for a particular material in a process order was following FIFO logic . We needed to change it to FEFO hence we made the necessory changes in COB1 how ever the process order relase is still taking the batch whihs is not the first expiry batch
Kindly help in batch determination with FEFO for process order release.

    Rk
The blw explation for inventory side, i don't have idea for prod order side
    If Batch Management is active for the materials then use following process;
First create characteristic in CT04 for Batch Creation Date, under "Addnl data", enter Table Name MCH1 or MCHA (As per Batch Class 022 or 023) and Field ERSDA and save it.
Assign this characteristics in CL02 in your Batch Class.
CU70 - Create a Sort Rule and specify the Characteristic of Batch Creation Date and activate "Ascending" indicator.
Now assign the Sort Rule in MBC1 and keep Selection criteria as "O" for the Strategy type.
Now do batch determination in MIGO.

  • Automatic Batch determination for process order components

    Hi ,
If we maintain the batch entry at MRP2 for the process order component  as 3 - automatic batch determination upon order release ,if  automatic batch determination is not happening for the order components and system is stopping to enter the batch for the component at order release , what else settings do we need to check ?
    Please advice
    Thanks ,
    MK

    Hi MK,
You need to go thru these configurations/setup:
1- CORC: Search Procedure is enter for Order type and Plant combination (PP-PI)
2- Assign the Search Procedure in transaction COR4 or OPL8 (COR4 for PPPI ot OPL8 for PP)
3- Batch Determination condition is maintained in COB1: this will generate the automatic determination of the batches.
4- Take a look of the field Batch Entry in MM02 (MRP2). This was already done by you.
Of course all your batches need to have the corresponding classification and you should assign correctly the search procedure in COB1.
Try with the previous steps and come back if you still don't get the automatic batch determination.

    Mariano

  • Batch determination for process order

    Hi All,
For a finished product, system allows batch to allocate more quantity than the quantity in stock.....
If you check in MMBE.....stock in unrestricted is 20 kg while stock in scheduled for delivery is 40 kg.......
Can you please tell how is it possible....that batch allows for more quantity than in stock.
    Thanks in advance....
    Best Regards.

    Hi,
you should never use MMBE to compare the result of batch determination. Normaly you do an availibility / ATP check within the batch determination, so you have to goto transaction CO09 to compare the result.
I think you should check your settings in availibility check.

  • Batch determination for Process order component

    Hi,
    The Scenario is as follows:
The batch determination should first consume Unrestricted (UR) stock and then only go for consignment (K) stock.
Custom development has been done in BADI to meet the above requirement.
Criteria for selection of UR batches:
If any of the UR stock batches are available for which UR stock u2013 Reserved stock >=  component requirement qty , then delete the K batches and push the UR batches only to the next step for Batch determination. The deleted K batches are appended at the last step for display after batch determination as per the requirement.
Now the Client requirement is there should be an option of manual assignment of qty from pre-selected Unrestricted (UR) batch to any of the consigned (K) batch.
When the above is done, the system says the available quantity of batch (K) was corrected to 0,000 PC and the avialable qty is set to ZERO ( but the stock is available for K batch). Is there any way to address this requiremement?
Criteria for selection of K batches:
If any of the UR batches not available for the above condition, Push all the batches ( UR + K)  for Batch determination.
    Regards,
    Prasad

    Dear Prasad,
if you want K stock ist selected in batch determination you have to run a stock determination within the batch determination. Otherwise you will not get the special stock indicator K in selection result.
Their is a big restriction by using K stock. You have to make sure that you don't use K stock and free stock for the same batch in the same sloc. Otherwise you will run into problems.

  • Checking Rule for Process Order

    Hi Guys
I am using the standard checking rule for Process Order while releasing. This rule considers the quality blocked stock also as available stock and thus release the Process Order.
However the client does not want to include the quality block stock for process order. My question is:
    1. If I create a checking rule which does not consider quality stock as available, and attach it to release of Process Order, will it make any change in MRP run?
    2. Is there a means to show a warning message while release of process order to show the stock is in quality block state?
    3. Is there any other means to alarm or warn the user before release of Process order about the material quality block state?
Appreciate you help / suggestion on this
    Thanks in advance
    Rahul

    Hi,
Regards the stocks during MRP run, you can do it in tow areas
    1. In OPPI, you can define whether Stockin transfer/blocked/restricted stocks can be taken into account for MRP run.
    2. You can exclude storage locations in MRP run and assign the MRP storage location indicator as 1 in MRP 4 view.
Apart from this the MRP will consider all stocks and requirements.
If you don't want to consider QI stock (for ex) then you can convert them as blocked stocks or you can move to a storage location which is not assigned to the MRP.
    Thanks,
    JK

  • Automatic batch determination in process orders

    Hi,
How batch determination can be done automatically for components in process orders?
    regards,
    Mohit Goyal

    Dear,
Define the batch determination search strategy for process order in COB1 with sort rule in CU70.
On the initial screen of your application choose Logistics>centrel function>batch management>Batch determination>For process order -->Batch search strategy --> Create.
On the initial screen of your application choose Batch search strategy -->Create.
Choose the strategy type, say choose co02
    Choose the key combination-
Enter the required dat-->say plant ,production order type, product, valid from and component for which you want to have this
Choose Selection criteria push button. Choose a sort sequence.
If no values have been entered, enter the selection class and the characteristic values.
Go back to the screen on which you create a batch search strategy.
Choose Sort if required(it should be defined earlier(in CU70- here you are giving the charateristic name on which you want to sort)
For component you need to use MBC1 with search stratgey as ME01 for your plant movement type and material and assign the sort rule and search procedure here.
Check also in COR4, for the combination of plant and order type...you have selected search procedure-CO0001
Batch management> Batch serach procedure allocation and check activation
T.Code to be looked specifically OMCG , CORC
    Hope it will help you.

  • Warning message during batch determination while doing GR for process order

    Hi Experts,
During delivery against process order for all SFGs and FGs, we are getting warning message u201CInvalid batch according to selection criteria in batch determinationu201D.
Following settings maintained for batch determination in process order.
Condition table for order/material type maintained
Access sequence maintained for order/material type
In strategy type above access sequence has been maintained. The common class and sort sequence created for all materials in the plant have also been assigned to this strategy type. In batch split changes allowed box has been checked and quantity proposal maintained as 1.
In search procedure control maintained for order/material type. Search procedure has been assigned to all process order types and check activated.
In spite of the above when GR for order is taking place , system is throwing warning message.
GI of components is being done through backflush and without any warning message.
Please advise how to ensure proper batch determination during GR against order.
    Regards
    Sm.

Issue resolved by removing required indicators from characteristics which were not being valuated but were maintained in the class assigned to SFGs/FGs.
