• Weird Group MMS message.

This morning at 2:38 AM I receieved a txt message. It was a "Group MMS" with 10 phone numbers listed. I only knew one of the phone numbers. It was a friend of mine, the message was just a picture of that friend. I've never seen the picture but I'm now getting txt's from a few people in that list saying that I send out the txt message when that's not the case. What's going on here?

I had the same thing happen to me, also when I replied it sent my reply to all. I turned off Group Messaging (Settings - Messages - Group Messaging). You'll still be able to send to multiple people, it will just keep replies from going to everyone in the list.

• My group MMS messages can't be received, only sent?

How do i fix this? I was able to receive and send earlier but now I can't, I can receive regular texts and iMessages fine but not getting any MMS and i know that there are messages being sent to me. Someone else in the group chat says that they receive my messages and respond but obviously I'm not getting any. I've restored my phone, restarted it, turned on/off group text, imessage, cellular data but nothing works

I realize the need to stay connected with your son. I just have a few questions so that I can further assess the situation.
Are you able to send him a text message from an email address?
Do you get the error message right away or does it take some time to send first?
Do you have usage controls or any other restrictions on his line.
Lastly, can you send a message to another number?

• Have android, cannot receive group mms message from one specific iphone

I have a galaxy s4. My mom, dad, and sister, all have iphones. Whenever my family sends me a group message, I cannot receive any messages from my dad's phone. For example, if my mom sends a group message to my sister and me, I receive both of their messages. When she sends a group message to my dad and me, I only receive her messages, not my dad's.
Looking at the message history, group messages on my dad's iphone stay in imessage format (blue) even with my number as a recipient. On my mom's, the messages sent from her are green.
I can receive individual messages from my dad which are green.
I've checked the messaging settings on my dad's iphone and it completely matches my mom's messaging settings.
Is there any reason why his phone is staying in imessage format for group messages as compared to my mom's or my sisters?

I went through this after switching from iPhone to Android. I spent a couple of hours over a period of three days talking to Apple and Verizon support, trying everything they suggested. I finally got this info from a second-level Apple support rep: This is a known problem that will be fixed in some future release. Meanwhile, ask friends with iPhones to send you one-to-one messages, not group messages.

• Group MMS messages sending as iMessages

I am in a group message with six of my friends. About a year ago, one of the members of the group switched from iPhone to Android and for a while we had trouble with some of our phones not recognizing the switch and still sending messages in the group thread as iMessages. After we all updated our phones to a new iOS software system (7.1 I believe) the issue was fixed. Recently the problem has arisen again. Three of the members of the group (myself included) got new iPhones in the past week. My phone was sending messages as Text Messages until a few days ago, when the other two girls got new phones. Now only one person in the thread is sending messages as Texts in the group, the rest of our messages are sending as iMessage. It is very frustrating because we want everyone to be included. The problem seemed to be solved when I deleted the thread and created the group manually, but then it would go back to iMessage when someone would send a message. I have "Send as SMS" turned on and "Group Messaging" turned on.

Just in case anyone stumbles upon this thread with the same issue as mine, we seem to have found a solution! (for now, anyways) To fix this issue, I removed the friend with the Android phone from the group thread and then tapped "New Message" and entered in all 7 contacts, thus creating a new group thread. It worked after all of the iPhone turn off their phones and turned them back on. Problem solved! I hope this made sense/ was helpful

• Why do I get Random Group MMS Messages?

My provider is AT&T and I just returned back to my family's family plan after not being able to cover a cell phone plan on my own finanically. Now I understand that every phone number these days comes with a bunch of calls from people who don't know the previous owner changed the number, but i'm now getting text messages (sometimes with pictures) that are being sent to several other people. None of these people know the person who is texting and don't seem to mind eating the few cents you get charged for it.
Is this a hack? Is there a bug in the IPhone 4S? Is there a bug in IOS? My family is trying to lean back on the phone expense, but this seems to be increasing it even thou it doesn't happen that often. Is this happening to other people?

Click holding the CONTROL key, it produces mostly the same result same result, after a short while it becomes second nature, and al least this way you are having to deal with the inwanted menus. You can also change the location on your trackpad of the secondary click which may work for you. You can get around much faster if you learn some keyboard shortcuts, (I use them all the time, faster and easier on your fingers)

Hey, go to your <Messages>, then hit on <Menu> at tight top corner, then go to <Settings>, then go to <Multimedia messages (MMS)> then un-check where it says <Group Conversations>

• "Reply All" won't send, hangs in Outbox

Motorola Razr M, Android version 4.1.2.
Using the Email app that came with phone, Roadrunner Email, have used both Auto Detect and Manual to enter email settings. However, whenever I "Reply All" within email, the message gets caught in the Outbox and hangs. Troubleshooting - I have already: Deleted and reinstalled the Email Account a half-dozen times; I have restarted phone, turned off and back on, etc... This only occurs with "Reply All", "Reply" works fine.

Anthony,
Yes. I've tested with other email accounts, 2 gmail, Touchdown, and now the Aquamail patch I downloaded for use with RR. I've also tested Reply All from my desktop using Outlook with the RR account and it works fine. Additionally, I've tested it with RR using their webmail site.
While it does work with the Aqualmail patch/app, I prefer to use the preinstalled email client, though, so if it can be fixed, I'd certainly be grateful.

• MMS Message turn on off option not displaying

Hi,
I am a iPhone user for about 3-4 yrs now. I have a black 16 Gig iPhone 4 with the latest iOS 7.0.3. I rarely send MMS messages though but needed to send one yesterday only to realize that I can't do that. How did I realized this that I added a photo from my phone and then added the contact to which i wanted to send the msg. Upon clicking Send, i got the message "Cannot Send Message - MMS Messaging needs to be enabled to send this message". So then went to the settings thinking my MMS settings might have got turned off. Settings -> Messages and what I see is that under SMS/MMS -> MMS Messages -> On/Off -> This option is NOT AT ALL displayed there.
What I see on the screen is
1. iMessages (turn on/off is displayed)
2. Send Read Receipts
3. Send as SMS
4. Send & Receive
Then under SMS/MMS settings
5. Show Subject Field
6. Character Count
7. Blocked
That's all. No "MMS Messages On/Off" option displayef. Ideally it should be available before "Show Subject Field" option, isnt it?
Then I tried few settings but resulted in no benefit. I tried to reset network settings, tried to turn Wi-Fi on/off then turn 3G on/off, Carrier settings on/off. But nothing worked. Last option as suggested on the forum is to RESET as a new phone. But I dont want to lose my current app settings, especially all the game settings and statuses.
Please help here.
Regards,
Kiran

Hi,
Thanks for your quick reply to my post. I am currently in India and am on the Idea Cellular network. Well there does not seem to be any problem with my internet settings (both GPRS & 3G) because I use 3G internet with full speed and recently inquired and pushed the APN settings again for MMS. The mms on/off itself is not getting displayed in first place, forget turning it on or off.
Thanks for your response, waiting for a solution hat will work..
Regards,
Kiran

• Disable Reply All button via Group Policy without disabling keyboard shortcut

At my organization, we've used Group Policy to disable the Reply to All button in Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2010. When you use the setting in the ADM files for the respective versions of Office to disable a Command bar ID, the Reply to All button is disabled,
however they keyboard shortcut (Ctrl + Shift + R) is still active. This forces our users to think a bit more before using the Reply All function.
The keyboard shortcut continues to work, because there's a separate setting to disable the keyboard shortcuts. The same is true for Office 2013's GP templates, however, it does not function as expected.
When I use the Office 2013 admin templates and disable command bar ID 355 (Reply All), it disables the button as expected, however it also disables the keyboard shortcut for Reply All without actually setting it as disabled in the disable shortcut keys.
Has anyone had success disabling a command bar ID without disabling the associated shortcut keys? If so, how did you do it?

• Before I buy an Iphone, has "reply all" bug been fixed in group messages?

I have searched all over the internet and it seems like Iphones have a major problem that does NOT seem to be fixed yet.
Currently, I have a G2 with T-mobile. When I send a text message to several people and they reply to me, only I see the replies. Not everyone gets everyone else's replies.
I have noticed with my husband's Iphone 5s, if I send a text message to 5 people and one person responds, ALL five people see that one response. Very annoying.
On his Iphone, I have turned off group messaging and Imessage but this does not turn off the reply all feature when I send a text to a group.
Before, I go out and buy my own Iphone 5s, is there any way to turn off the "reply all" feature? Remember, I have disabled both group messaging and IMessage. In the settings, Group Message and IMessage are switched to off. Even with these settings off, when I send out group texts and one person replies to me - everyone sees it.
How can this really be turned off? Or is this still an Apple glitch?
If it is still an Apple glitch, I will not be buying an Iphone. I want to send group text messages but not annoy everyone with everyone else's responses.
Thanks in advance for your help and time!

Is there a work around for the Iphone? Like buying a separate texting app?
If so, do you have any recommendations?
I would like to get an Iphone because of its other features, but for work purposes (I work in a nonprofit with teenaged human trafficking victims) I need to be careful with my text messages.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

how can i prevent everyone on the group message from seeing everyone else's replies?

Thanks! makes sense. When I replied to a message earlier, I noticed I replied to everyone in the group again. so your saying if I create a new thread from the person i want to reply to , the message will only go to that one person? meaning i have to tap the reply bubble from that person to create the new thread?
