RE: Iphone 5 Phantom ghost redialing last number called over and over.
My phone has started to phantom call the last number called or received. Sometimes it calls numerous times a minute others times it calls every 5, 10 15 minuts randomly. At first i thought i may have been butt or pocket dialing but this continued happening with the phone untouched. The calls do show in call log.

Summary: Incoming calls show up only as phone numbers, not with the caller's name.
Steps to Reproduce:
1) On your iPhone, save a person's phone number in Contacts with the country's dialing code in front (+ZZZ-XX-YYYYYYY, where +ZZZ is the country code, XX is the carrier, YYYYYYY is the person's phone number);
2) Make a call from that person's device/number to your iPhone;
3) On your iPhone, while ringing, shows the above number without +ZZZ and without the person's name.
Expected Results: No matter how the number is saved (as +ZZZ-XX-YYYYYYY or simply as XX-YYYYYYY) the caller ID should always show up, as in previous iOS editions.
Actual Results: Caller ID does not work as expected and as in previous iOS versions.
Notes: When I receive voice calls, the number comes in without the country dialing code in front, simply appears as XX-YYYYYYY (where the XX is the carrier code and YY is the number) and the caller's name does not appear. In my address book ALL my contact's telephone numbers are preceded with the corresponding country dialing code, because i travel a lot. If I delete the country code from a contact's phone number, and that number calls me, then the person's name appears. I'm am in Angola (country code +244) using iPhone 4, iOS 5, carrier: UNITEL (92)
On the other hand, SMS's are OK, i.e. the Caller ID is linked to the phone number and shows up (because SMS's are receiver with the country dialing code in front of the phone number, p.ex. +244-XX-YYYYYYY).
It has something to do with the Carrier Settings Update as in iTunes i get the error message 1630 which states that: "iTunes could not check for un update to the carrier for your iPhone. An unknown error occured (1630)."

Shortcut to redial last number?

Is there a shortcut to redial the last number dialed?
I know (believe me, I know) the iPhone creates a REDIAL button on the screen when a call gets dropped by the ATT network.
I also know you can click the PHONE icon, click recent, then click the top non-red entry.
But most phones have a quickie to redial from anywhere. Just wonderin'

How do I set my iPhone 4S to clear the last number dialed?
Every time I try to dial a new number, the last number I entered on the keypad is still there. I have to delete it manually before I can call someone else. My husband has an iPhone 3, and his keypad is always blank when he accesses it. Is there a setting for this? thanks!
maybe it's because I'm using the keypad to enter numbers into my contact list & not actually calling them.

Select the Contact, press the Edit button, tap the desired number (work, mobile, home, etc) and enter the number. Press Done when complete. -
First time syncing my iPhone six plus to iTunes a number of albums and songs do not play
After syncing my iPhone six plus to iTunes (11.4.0.18) a number of my playlists show up on the phone but they have no songs. If i look for the album it shows the album with all the songs but they are greyed out and cannot be played.
On the original sync I chose the "Entire music library" option. I have since tried to manually select each song and sync with no success.
HELP !!!You can erase all content on the iPhone by going to settings>general>erase all content and settings
If you do not want to lose all the data on your iPhone you'll have to manually delete the stuff off the iPhone you don't want.
Go into the summary page of your phone in iTunes and untick the syncing options etc.
If you no longer have the iPod and don't want any of the content from it you can delete the backup from your computer and it will forget you ever had it -

You will need credit or a subscription to cover the cost of calls you make from Skype to fixed or land lines and mobile numbers.
Maybe the product names should not have been changed?!

Calls to fixed lines and mobile numbers = Skype Out - credit or subscription needed.

I plugged my Iphone 4s in my computer last night to sync and it asked me if I wanted to do an update, so I clicked to start the update. When I woke up this morning my phone is frozen with the display having the blue circle itunes on the top and bottom of screen has the charger cord, letting me know to plug in, but it was already plugged in. The message in Itunes says, itunes has detected an iphone in recovery mode. You must restore the phone before you can use it. I know if I hit recovery mode that I lose everything currently on my phone. Any suggestions?

This morning my iPhone was stolen from me, I immediately called it and it had been turned off. So, I went right home to activate the Find My iPhone app on the website so it would call my other contact number. Then going to my AT&T store I was told to go home and submit an insurance claim. Later this evening, I tried to access my iCloud account and I couldn't. Finally, I found an series of emails from Apple at 5:15pm and on verifying my Find My iPhone activation had been disabled and that my iCloud ID had been changed to *********. I don't know who the heck this person is, but they've managed to deactivate the Find feature and hack my iCloud ID email address. How can this happen? How do I get Apple and Gmail to prosecute this person? I still don't know the full extent of what has been hacked into. Does anyone have any helpful insight? Thanks

My iPhone 4 cellphone was stolen last year. I have done all the procedures of reporting it to the South African Police Services and my Vodacom service provider. I do have the case number and I did blacklist my stolen phone. I have not had any assistance. I had installed Find My iPhone but did not have any iCloud account on it (ie. iCloud Username and Password). So I am unable to track it or find its location as yet. Please help me find my iPhone 4.
Your only chance is setting it up as new device without using the latest backup afterwards, which you already did.

Problem with ios7. when ending a call the phone redials the last number again and again.

Major problem with ios7 just came up. When ending a call either from headset or the phone itself it keeps redialing the last number. The only way to shut it is to use the home button key and then choose the banner of the active call on the top of the screen and press end call.
Has anybody encountered the same problem?

Number of plays and last play date are not updated in the iPhone 5.
I am managing music manually, and play music using the regualy player and in my car through blue tooth, but the number of plays doesn't update. I have lists for new music, based on number of plays, and it never changes.
That doesn't make sense. It works on my iPad and iPod, and used to work on the iPhone. I think something changed in one of the recent updates.

When my iPhone 4S (with ios7) experiences a failed call while connected to my Bluetooth hands free in my car(screen locked) the failed call appears on the locked screen, as it should, the problem arises whenever I unlock the phone, it automatically redials the last failed call, it doesn't do this with missed calls that are on the locked screen, if any. It is really annoying as sometimes the phone doesn't respond to attempts to end the call before it connects to the number. I then have to explain that it was my phone and not me, I look like an idiot, which I don't really need any extra help with!! Does anyone have any ideas? I don't want to stop missed call from showing in the locked screen but it might be associated with the failed calls and therefore be the only resolution
I have had the same issue which was driving me mad but think I have just found a way around it. In iOS 7 if you swipe up on the lock screen to access quick settings and go into timer then click the home button you get into the phone without calling the person back. Not a great 'fix' but hope it works for you. Come on Apple this isn't good enough, fix this bug otherwise you will lose your customers.

How to redial a number by doing some changes ?
Example:
On my iPhone using keypad, I dialed a 10 digit mobile number (9163524708). Then I realized that number which I am dialing is wrong. The 5th digit will be 8 in stead 5. Now I want to change the 5th digit number and redial.
My memory is not so strong to remember this dialed 10 digit number and also I don't have a pen and paper to note down the dial number.
One solution that I know is: First Save this dialed number in iPhone then make the desire changes and call again. Finally delete the number.
Is there a direct option available, that is EDIT the dialed number from the Recent call list and Call again.... Why it is necessary to save the number and delete. This simple option I did not find on my iPhone but it is available on my Nokia phone.
