Re: iPod Piel Frama case

Dear iPoders,
I was wondering if anyone has bought or is using an Piel Frama case for their iPod (video) and, if so, would they recommend it? Any help would be great as I am thinking of buying one.
Looking forward to some replies.
Mike

i've never heard of that case, but the agent 18 is the best. most of the replies to this type of question recommended it, plus it has the best reviews on apple.com. it is a plastic hard case that keeps the ipod nice and snug, but doesn't scratch it.

  • IPod Shuffle Sports Case Cable Adapter??????

Does anyone know where I can get an iPod Shuffle Sports Case Cable Adapter?
I purchased a Sports Case but it did not come with an adapter. I talked with Apple Support for an hour one day and they said they never heard of such a thing. I told them that it is on the Apple Forum and they still said it does not exist.
If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be most grateful!!

The adapter is to use non Apple headphones with the case.
The hole in the case is made to fit the Apple headphones, which have a very small covering over the plug.

"This is a great product. I'm an ironworker and wanted to keep my shuffle white, so i bought this the day my shuffle arrived . My shuffle still looks brand new . Unfortunatly if you want to use headphones other than the apple ones, you have to use an adapter that comes with the package and it makes the cord extra long"

  • Ipod touch 16gb cases?

Why hasn't apple made any 16gb ipod touch 5g cases?? Regular cases would have two holes for nothing and they would cover up the Mic. Where could I purchase one? Any company that makes a case for that specific design?

    See:
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/22725733#22725733
Otherwise you will just have to Google and then look carefully at the descriptions. If they say one works for all 5Gs then it is not made for the 16GB one except it may have two cutout for the mic. One for the 16 GB location and another for the other 5Gs.

  • Will an ipod touch 5g case fit on an ipod touch 4g?

I currently have an ipod touch 4g, bought in around september of 2011, and i was wondering if i could get a case for it, but most stores offer 5g cases instead of 4g cases, because of the ipod touch 5g.

The white colour is the only difference, it is still a 4th gen.

will an iPod Classic 80gb case fit the 160gb Ipod

The 5th Gen 80GB case would be too loose for the slim 160GB iPod Classic, but maybe you can put in ugly styrofoam fillers. But the 6th Gen 80GB is the same thickness as all 160GB model. So depends on which 80GB model casing you are refering to.
    Dimensions
    5th Gen 80GB = 4.1 x 2.4 x 0.43*
    6th Gen 80GB/160GB  = 4.1 x 2.4 x 0.41*

I just wanted to say I bought the eVo 3 thing originally and I absolutely hated it. It turns your small and sleek iPod into a giant, sticky monstrosity. The case is stupidly thick, is pretty much instantly dirty (and impossible to clean), and it's difficult to get the iPod in and out of it. In fact, my iPod now has three large scratches on the screen thanks to that horrid case. Oh, and if you care about ever seeing the screen, maybe watching a TV show or movie on there, forget it. Good luck getting that case on without trapping some dust in there with it. Returned it for a refund.
Anyway, I ended up buying a case from Pacific Design (http://pacificdesign.com/pac_ipod5gflipcases.html). It doesn't look too bad, and the iPod slips right out if you want to use it with a dock or something. It gives you a reasonable amount of protection without being too large. The screen is protected, but the scroll wheel is not, which is fine with me. One thing worth noting, though, is that the holes covering the screen, scroll wheel and headphone jack are slightly off center, but it's not a huge deal.
So you might find something better out there (no one can say there's a lack of iPod accessories in the world), but I can say the Pacific Design cases are decent.
I just hope you didn't already go out and get the eVo... Man I hate that thing...

  • IPod Nano 6G Case

    Hi,
I just received my replacement iPod Nano.  I had a generation one and now Apple replaced it with a generation six.  I want to use this for when I go to the gym.
I purchased the arm band for my G1, but the G6 is a lot smaller. I'm looking for two things, some kind of case that will fit on my arm not wrist. A case that will fully enclose the Nano so it will not get wet, as well as a hard shell case so it will not crack the screen from the wear and tear at the gym.  I lift weights too, so I need something that can be worn on my arm not wrist.
    Any suggestions?

we have the same problem! i already tried restoring factory settings twice, it's still not working! I hope this gets resolved soon. Apple, this is so disappointing!

  • IPod nano and cases

    Hi,
I'm looking at getting an iPod nano. It'll need a case since I'll be using my iPod alot in my pocket. I see that the nano comes with a case. Is this case worth anything? Or should I look at buying a third party case for it? The only thing I need a case for is basic protection (walking, driving, putting it in my pocket, on the dashboard, that sort of stuff). Thanks.
    PowerBook G4 12.1 1.5 GHz 512 MB RAM   Mac OS X (10.4.4)

I had a look at this case sounds good, but when checked it out on the web, saw this review.
I tend to agree, if doesn't protect the screen what use is it.
Another thing to add about the review, sounds a little like they were promoting this web site, when checking it out, did have a review but has been archived, and they expected to buy $$ to read the cramy opinion.
If you click RainDayMagazine you notice they only posted on this topic and identical in each stream, purely promoters not ipod users helping others. Although does help find out about cases, finds all the posts on the subject.
I stick clear of this case. One last thing, you cant see your ipod either through the metal finish of this case.
    Google search on iKeychain case:-
There have been a lot of rumblings in the Apple community about how easily the iPod Nano’s screen gets scratched so I am surprised that iLounge rewarded this case with an 8 even though it doesn’t offer any protection to the screen. It’s a very stylish case and the keychain aspect of it makes it very chic, but if I can’t read the screen due to it being scratched up then the case serves me no purpose.
You have to assume that because this case fits on a keychain it will be surrounded by keys and from what I have learned through extensive research over the past 17 months is that keys scratch stuff, .....
Who be stupid enough to run over their ipod really, please.

  • Will the new ipod touch work with ipod touch 4 cases

hi im new to this and im just wondering if the new ipod touch will work with an ipod 4 case

There are no hardware differences, just color and price, at least as far as anyone has been able to determine, so any existing case for the 4th-generation iPod touch (the just-announced unit still being 4th-generation, really) should be fine.
    Regards.

  • Is the iPod included neoprene case washable?

Is the neoprene case that came together with the ipod machine washable? Has anyone tried it? Yes, I know it's a real silly question and yes, i've asked the apple care hotline but they don't have an answer.

if you put it in the dryer it would fry. you could try hand washing to see but I don't think it's really worth it.
it would probably wrinkle and get all funny looking.

  • Charging ipod with carrying case

I know its covered on the support pages and the advise they give its basically don't do it, but, I wanted to check because this is my first touch and I know there are people on the forum that have had ipods for a long time, so my main question is: does it really hurt the battery life if you always charge the ipod while its on the case? I personally use a griffin sylicon case and it doesn't get hot while charging, but maybe there is somebody here that has killed the battery by doing this after a few months or so, any input will be great, tnks!!

I figured after paying for a macbook and a 400 dollar ipod video, a 26 dollar USB charger was nothing. normally while im using my computer goofing about with my downloads and web browsing, its more than enough time to charge the ipod to at least 80%. i never tried sleeping the sleeping the computer while the ipod is connected, but its really not that big a deal, and even though many wouldnt approve of the price of the USB adapter, i believe its pretty worth it.

  • IPod-like polycarbonite case protection for iBook

My iBook has picked up quite a few small (and some not so small) scratches over the last year I've had it.
Rather than polishing it, repolishing it, and plishing it again as time and use once more scratch it, I saw somewhere online an iPod like accessory for the iBook that would protect the case and while it may scratch eventually, the iBook would be protected and remain pristeen.
This was a clear two piece polycarbonate shell. One piece fit over the top half of the iBook, and the other fit over the bottom half. Both parts fit over the white top and bottom of the case, not the screen or keyboard. This would seem to be the perfect solution. Polish the case once, put the protector shell on, and forget it.
However, I cannot seem to find, even with google, the reference I saw to this.
Does anyone recall any accessory like this? I'd be gratefull.

    Thanks for the reply.
What I was looking for was kinda like the protective clear cases for the iPod that are now ubiquitous, to protect the iBook once the current scratches have been polished out.
Something to keep it from getting scratched again.
Still haven't found it. Maybe an iPod case stretcher?

  • Having a hard time getting a iPod touch 4g case off

I can not get this case off my Ipod touch 4g: Griffin Outfit Ice Case for iPod touch (4th Gen.) I can get the top part off if I pull extremely hard but the bottom part does not even seem to move. Any ideas how to get the bottom part off. Could cleaning the edges off it help?

I could not get the case off of mine either. I ended up slipping (very carefully) a butter knife under the back to release the seal. Before I put it back on I rubbedva thin film of mineral oil on the inside of the case and haven't had a problem since. I still have to pull hard to get it out but it doesn't stick as it did before. Hope this helps.
